Overall staff were not friendly and the person who gave me the rental truck was rude and didn't explain how to use the vehicle. He walked away before I could even ask a single question. When I dropped off I was told I would get emailed a receipt, which I was not. Then saw another unexplained 10$ charge to my account. Also make your parking lots bigger so customers can park their vehicles while they rent yours. I walked one block which is usually not a problem except for all the men waiting at the entrance to the parking lot harassing you asking if you need help moving or hitting on you.Marina L.

I rented and got confirmation to pick up my uhaul on 9/17/22 at 8am. On the 9/16/22 I received a message that my truck would not ready until 2pm. Then when I arrived there was no truck. My husband and I were moving about 100 miles away and the only way we could get a truck is if we returned it the next day. Worst experience! This location is the best facility in the area. Although I live 20 miles away, the unit was convenient to my occasional work in the area. Staff was always accommodating and friendly. You don't take debit cards. That eliminates a lot of customers who don't use credit cards. Clearly you don't think there's greater risk with debit card users because you were willing to rent me a larger vehicle with my debit card. You don't tell people about your policy then when the customer arrives to pick up his rental you bait and switch him into something bigger that he doesn't want. That sucks.STEPHEN L.

I really dislike the concept of sending the truck out with its gas tank only half full. It makes it hard to guess how much gas to buy before returning it. Sending it out with a full tank, then filling it up right before returning it would make much more sense.TERRY H.

We did a self service appointment. Upon arriving we found the truck went through the whole process and went inside to get keys. Upon entering there was another guest being helped by an associate and the general manager standing in the next station using his cell phone. The guest being helped was hard of hearing and English was not her first language. The general manager treated her so poorly and laughed at her at one point. It was honestly horrifying to watch. We then got the truck keys and got in the truck and it had absolutely no gas, the readout said â€œlow fuelâ€. I returned inside and was completely ignored by the general manager who continues using his personal cell phone. I informed the other associate that there was no gas in that truck, she gave us a new truck and we had to repeat the entire process again. Upon climbing in this truck it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, the dash was covered in dust and the cup holders had dried soda all over them. We had already wasted an hour that we didn't have to lose so I got into the filthy smelly truck and started it. We rented a 26 ft truck that was parked in between other trucks. Upon trying to leave and pulling forward and backing up multiple times the general manager came out and said â€œyou're not going to be able to get out that wayâ€ however it was the only way out. There was another truck blocking the other way. I told the general manager the truck was there blocking that exit and he said â€œwell I can move itâ€ as though I was an idiot for trying to go the other way. We left a full hour and a half later than we'd planed and we were so disappointed with the whole experience.Nicholas R.

I want to file a complaint regarding this rental. I did not know or was made aware that the truck spilled gas from the tank. I drove over 500 miles filling up the tank more than what I needed on top of that put my life and family in danger because if that would've caught fire for any reason we could've got on fire or worst. Pretty terrible experience with Uhaul. Everything started ok, but when my box was to be shipped from California to Arizona, whoever loaded the boxes into the semi truck smashed the box so badly it broke the entire side and the lock off. I had to wait until after my box was scheduled to be delivered to find out any of this. Also, I had to call them! When my box didn't show up during the window I called and was told that one of the trucks was broken down and I should just wait because it was on its way. Later they called back and told me the box had been damaged and couldn't be delivered. Then they claimed they had called me earlier! No one called me! Then I was told that they couldn't deliver the box on time and that my box was going to be loaded into a new box. Well I didn't want random people touching anything in the box. I ended up having no choice in the matter. Then after all this mess, they delayed delivering my box another few days! The experience was terrible and at every stage when I complained about it, everyone told me how short staffed they were or blamed some other division of the company or mechanical issues for the problems. I've called, I've emailed, I've spoken to people who claimed that uhaul customer support will be getting back to me within 48 hoursâ€¦ well that 48 hours has come and gone and still nothing. I would say that the only division which isn't short staffed is billing. Somehow, they manage to keep whatever department charges you working like a well oiled machine. Honestly as a customer I don't care if you are short staffed, so are a lot of places these days. Figure it out. It's a business. FYI this review isn't personal, it's also business. If you can't provide the services you promise customers, just don't make those promises. And I'm still here, still waiting on a response to my emails, calls, and complaints. I would like to note that the only reason most of my things weren't destroyed is because I packed the box so well. I had cargo netting, tie-down straps and all the heavy items were at the bottom. Also I was moving mostly tools and furniture, nothing really breakable and everything packed in boxes. Just an all around bad experience.Kevin R.
You repeatedly attempted to over bill me because of poor record keeping. I beer has anything in storage at your facility. Our 3 boxes were shipped to TN, emptied and picked up. That part was easy! Movers on the MN side had one mover with his son and nephew who were in 7th and 8th grade. Many pieces of furniture were scratched and I had to toss a bookshelf due to scratches. I will be reviewing my insurance policy.DEB A.

Your arrival and pickup handoff with the local delivery company isn't working right. I was contacted By the local delivery company to confirm the pick up location. On the website it indicated Plano which is your warehouse or Center location, however after calling and waiting 40 minutes to speak to a representative I was informed that it was in Carrollton Texas. I was concerned that I had to make the call to confirm and your website didn't reflect the correct location of my pick up item. It was also annoying that I had to wait 40 minutes to figure this out and explained this several times to U-Haul employees. It's clearly a system issue not a service employee issueAndrew F.
Honestly, the guy that helped me had absolutely no personality at ALL. He was not informative and he did not smile even once during our interaction with one another. Then when I was getting ready to leave, I am handicap and I was parked in a handicap spot, one of your female employees came up to my door and banged on it very loudly to the point of it scaring my dog and making him bark. Needs more staff!! I needed to call and ask a question and ended up in main Uhaul customer service queue with a 40+ minute expected hold time. It was a 30 second question. Uhaul, in general, needs more staff. Your customer service line is a disaster. Also, $1.39/mile is highway robbery. You should make a points program for customers as some of us are frequent renters. The month free storage is nice, but not everyone needs it. Why don't you do a points program in which we can use the points for whatever we want, including buying down the mileage charge? They seem to have problems with the access machine to get into storage after hours. My first day yesterday I arrive after 5 to unload into my storage and it denied 3 other peoples cards as well. When we called, they said there was nothing they could do about it until the following day. What about the big inconvenience for people that rented trucks ? and then have to pay another day for the inconvenience? They seemed to not have cared because it's just more money for u-haul. That particular storage unit facility has poor manager skills and ethics . He bends the uhaul policy to work which ways he wants or makes up his own policy as he goes along . I had 4 storage , on 1-25 I was moving out and had two truck with 4 mover my mover took every thing out or storage except we had some left in 3 units . We wore coming back with one truck to get other staff out. We had two additional mover coming to my house to help unload. At 4pm truck and 3 mover and us came back to storage to pick up rest. They told me it will take hour and half to go and bring staff and left 4 mover to put the staff to getter. They came back at 8:30 pm and left my house at 10:00pm My husband called and said the key to one storage doesn't open and that was storage was full and ask me if I have any. It was disaster at my house looking for key and we didn't know what to do . I told them to come back since I don't want to pay hourly to mover and finally he went inside and they said nothing and after hour wait this guy said they changed the lock or key or something and keep looking for key and after hour he find key and we got our staff I am not satisfied and had to pay my mover a lot money Please call me asp 9498423941 You guyed need to pay for my extra cost No one contact me about change of key or any thing The office didn't know any thing and they had to keep looking to find key Vidahamid T. | Overall Experience

The GM is beyond rude and unhelpful, he's vindictive! Argued over my free month. Broken roll down door after unloading. Broken latch that wouldn't lock! Left open all weekend!! The GM threatened to call the police on me, for using a uhaul screwdriver, because he would not help me close my unit. Beware Ladies! Had to go back to get a new key two days later, when I was due to move 3 hours away! Went back to unload after hours, and my entry card was not activated! Phillip has zero customer service and I'll be calling corporate over his bs and the total Lack of security to the building. I was still able to get in, without a key card, Phillip! The customer service representatives were nice very helpful they explained everything so well in full detail the facility was clean the elevators were huge the storage unit was very nice and huge and clean and I am just very satisfied and I would recommend U-Haul storage unit and rental trucks to any of my friends and family , (it would have been nice to have a discount or a cheaper price on the storage unit) but overall I'm very satisfied but overall it's a great experience.andrea a. | First Impressions

Horrible service. Staff couldn't get anything I asked done right. Was billed a late fee for my first month because they screwed up the auto pay. Was told the facility manager would get back with me.
