I reserved a cargo van to pick up items I purchased from an auction. When I arrived at the location, I was informed that they do not even have cargo vans at this location. Because of this, I was unable to pick up nearly $500 of items I purchased.REBECCA S.

Beautifully clean!!! I was glad to have a friend along for support. This cargo van was a bit older; it had no usual glove compartment. More importantly it had no OWNERS' manual. Some of the buttons on the dashboard had quite obscure, mysterious markings. Adjusting mirrors on your vehicles is very important. (Drivers are many different heights. The mirrors were stiff, but I couldn't tell that probably manual adjustment was needed. Add a sign about that, please?? Label in English beside the row of buttons?Sunny M.

We were pleased that the 10' truck we rented had low mileage. The first lock we bought there, one which the manager said would fit the cargo latch, did not fit our particular vehicle. We had to return to the store and exchanged it for another that had slight longer bars and this one did fit.Martin H.

It was really clear where I was supposed to enter when I returned the truck, but it wasn't so clear where I was supposed to exit when I drove it away. I ended up driving right in front of the entrance to the La-Z-Boy store, which seemed wrong to me, but I wasn't sure where to go. It also wasn't super clear where I was supposed to enter and exit with my own car. Maybe more clearly marked exits and entrances would help.Daniel S.

Customer Service could have been friendlier. Walking in, the front desk is hidden behind display's. Truck's rear break light and turn signal we're not operational , which was discovered after truck was loaded for an 8 hour drive home. If someone makes a reservation three weeks in advance for a truck, make sure you have that truck and don't change it on them 2 days before the trip. It's dangerous to do that because some people have never driven a truck that big and you could be responsible for the accident.Kaitlin K.

The sign says to pull up and a representative will come to you. The guy just stood out front talking to his buddy. I didn't realize he was an employee until I got tired of waiting and approached him. Just continue the excellent service that you do. I had to change my plans, to add days and then change where I was dropping the trailer off since I never left town. Everyone I spoke to was very helpful and kind. The only problem I had was with the call back system. I tried it twice and both times I got a text that they couldn't reach me by phone although text worked perfectly. I never got a missed call either, so that would be the Uhaul general line issue not a store/location. GraciasTonya M.

I place an order for a truck and two movers for 9:00am overs called at 11:00 stated tjat was for 12:00am rented the tru k from 7:00 to 1:00pm after speaking with the movers they stated that they will move me on sunday rented another truck the mover never showed up or answer my phone call rented a truck two days in a row ad wasn't able to movr all my belonging I limited to what I can do at 68 yeats old I place the order with uhaul very disappointed with this.SYLVIA W.

Stood in line for an hour to get my rental trailer. No attempt to take care more folks or do anything. No apology for waiting or any of thatâ€¦. The check in and out as well as the equipment itself were fine. The only issue I have is with the fuel situation. This truck was rented to me with only a quarter tank of fuel. I not only had to stop for fuel, I had to stop again at the end of the rental and try and guess how much to put in to try and get this back to a quarter of a tank. Very inconvenient!MICHAEL M.

Had a reservation for 2/14 and was told the cash drawer would not open. Cops were called because we then were not able to move in time. Next morning when they were able to get drawer open, they didn't reschedule reservation that was not honored and only put in we were using it for some hours. Because of the construction at our uhaul location, we had to move one of our two units to another unit. Besides the inconvenience of having to be present to lock and unlock the unit, the process was quite painless. The movers remained in communication with me and took pictures after they were done. They were very courteous! My only complaint overall would be the lack of lighting. It's sufficient enough to see, but it was a challenge to see items when you're looking for something stacked at the bottom of a pile in a unit. I had to use my cell phone flashlight. A light for each unit is probably overkill, but having lights more appropriately placed would be helpful.Mandy M. | Overall Experience

The staff member I worked with was a huge help. I needed to upgrade to a larger unit before moving in and he did that with no issues. Walked me through everything including the security system, which I would not have figured out on my own. He even helped me get some of my larger furniture out of the truck and onto a dolly, which he did not have to do but it was a huge help. He went above and beyond. Local u haul mgr stated i have a $160 balance bc I wasn't moved out before the 13th. U haul at no time can force renew. I chose not to renew and I should have no balance. If u haul deems a late fee of $15 is necessary, I will pay it, but I do not owe $160. Mgr was rude, and she issued a no trespass order on myself when she was the one in the wrong. I left because I could save $71 a month on a same-size unit. So I moved my things to Affordable Family Storage, right next door. Also, the ceiling above my unit dumped lots of little dirt and what looked like plaster chips on top of my furniture. The facility outside of my unit was clean, but the ceiling above my unit was not in good repair and left debris on my things. It wasn't so much that I'd move, but it was annoying. Yet when I learned I could have a better roof and save big $$$ each month, I bolted. Finally, I was told at the beginning of my stay with U-Haul, that we pay a month ahead, so imagine how disappointed I was at the end to learn you would not refund me my unused days after just paying rent through October 27th. I call that theft. As long as I live in Lafayette, I cannot recommend your facility to anyone. I am fully aware that eventually the rates will go up at my new unit. But until that time, I am saving $852 a year over what you charged. Since I am on a fixed income, THAT is a LOT of money!Pamela G. | Overall Experience

On our way cleaning out the storage I was approached in a rude manner by a woman who worked there. However, Kathi has been a joy! I've stored there for the last 3 years and Kathi has been attentive. Caring and thorough. If there was a problem Kathi would quickly address is and rectify it with the best customer service possible. It outweighs the actions of others there.
