Good service within the store/branch. HORRIBLE SERVICE trying to reach them by phone prior to and post booking. HORRIBLE. I drove 10 mins while on hold to reach them in city traffic and got there before anyone picked up the phone. Just horrible customer service via the phone. Incredibly understaffed? I don't know. I thought the gas tank would be full. It was only 1/4 full. Had to stop and get gas sooner than I wanted (in a time sensitive situation). That added a small amount of stress, but wasn't a huge issue. . Also, I was a little surprised at how high the General Motors pickup truck is off the ground. It's a pretty high step to get in. (And I am 6 feet tall). But definitely a good experience overall.DAVID B.

The 4 X 8 trailer I rented came off my hitch at highway speeds and after making a sweeping right turn. I was able to get the vehicle stopped and reattached the trailer. The coupler was never tightened. The only thing that saved the trailer was the safety chains.TIMOTHY J.

The van had only 18,000 miles on it, but the outside weather stripping/molding on the windshield (on the driver side) began coming off. Luckily, I was able to tuck it under the metal to keep it from fluttering in the wind.Michael R.

All went fine until I got charged for going over the mileage allotment. I mentioned to the agent that my GPS led me the wrong way, costing me about 20 extra miles, but he stated his bosses get mad if they don't charge the customers. Don't believe any agent that states "oh, don't worry if you're a 10-15 miles over the allotment".PHILLIP C.

Truck seats had obvious spill drips of who knows what on both seats- female was rude when we came in the store- said we couldn't change our reservation - it was originally scheduled for Main street Onalaska- but they couldn't access our registration and sent us to Rose street loacation which we then incurred more milage costs than planned. Terrible management. After my complaints about not receiving the correct information on what time and how full the gas should have been on return, He proceeded to tell me the additional charges he was adding instead of trying to correct the problems or give me a break on them since I wasn't provided correct information. 45 minutes wasted and 64 additional dollars in charges. The young man who helped us went above and beyond to help. It turned out that my wiring to attach to the turn signals on the trailer we were going to rent was not working. He tried hooking up 2 different trailers, then looked at the fuses in my car to see if there was a dedicated fuse for my hitch lighting system. He then helped us transition to renting a small truck to use for the afternoon. Thanks to him it only took about 5 extra minutes before we were on our way to make a simple move for one of our famliy members.Dixie R.

When we arrived on Friday, 4/2, to pick up a truck, we were told our reservation was cancelled. The gentleman working that evening seemed very nervous and appeared to be new to the position. He told us to return the next day to pick up a truck, and that experience was much smoother.HEIDI T.

The one thing I would suggest is when someone is possibly going to be returning after hours, don't just say it's no problem and explain what to do. You need to mention the after hours return charge. We were NEVER told about this (thankfully we didn't run as late as expected) but I would've been upset had we been returning after hours and charged to do that and never told!KEVIN B.

This ended up costing me money, as I had hired somebody to help me load some things. Not what I expect when I reserve a truck to be picked up at 10am. This is my second storage unit rental at this location. The only complaint I had is the first unit I still have was very icy on the day I needed access and I slipped a few times. Staff came out and salted when I let them know. Also, the slide lock is troublesome to slide. The 2nd unit I rented yesterday had a much easier slide lock.
