Everything was perfect except we didn't have space to park our car at UHaul and parked it overnight free at a nearby parking lot. I booked my truck for the fairway location and was given no other option to pick up at Charles. This costed me about $20 additional in gas and kms. Your customer service people and so called manager on the phone were awful and had Zero people skills. The people at the actually location were fine so I am Not going to Give them a bad rating but I wish I had a survey for the people you have on the phone. I don't appreciate having to pay out of pocket for the companies issue with not having trucks at the location I selected. Why couldn't you just drive the truck there? There was time to do so. Overall I am totally unsatisfied with the way uhaul treats their customers.

The wheels were absolutely worn (could not get up a slight slope with snow) on the truck I rented. Garbage in door slots from previous users. No parking. Staff more interested in their phones than the customer. Good geographic location in the city and lots of items available to support moves.

Truck was clean but had several issues. Ignition switch would intermittently not turn when trying to start the vehicle. Drivers window handle was missing knob. Headlights were pointed no more than 8ft in front of vehicle even when loaded. Radio was non functional. App and website would not accept photo confirmation either when picking up our returning and agent just ignored my statement to the fact. When picking up the blankets they failed to inform me that they were packaged in (half dozen) so I did not have sufficient blankets and even the package I got had only 5 instead of 6.

I rent quite often here. And in this time of covid, my truck I rented was very dirty. The seats and loads of crap in all the seams, I had to brush it off. The dash was dirty as I got something on my hand that was like sticky. The window had such a bad film it makes it difficult to see, plus previous people who rented this could of coughed , sneezed all over it possibly spreading covid or other germs. This is the first time I had such a dirty vehicle from you. I was not happy, but did't have time as the load I had to pickup was on a time limit and I was already behind schedule. Personally I should even had to pay for this deplorable service. I trust my next rental will be up to standards and CLEANED PROPERLY

UHaul's online services were terrible. I ordered a hitch and related parts so that I could take them to be installed. I still had not received shipping confirmation when two of the parts arrived. At that time, I contacted customer service for shipping details for the remaining parts. I was informed then that the hitch would be delayed by 2-3 weeks due to production issues. I had ordered the parts one week prior, so surely the company knew about the production delay but chose not to tell me until I went looking for information. There was no warning on the ordering page that the part wasn't available and there was no warning when I checked out and paid for the parts. I was forced to spend more time finding a replacement hitch in time for my move with no assistance from UHaul. After I figured that out, there I still had no received shipping details for the remaining parts so I had to ask for those again. I was given one tracking number for two remaining parts and I assumed they'd be shipped together. I received the package but was still missing the final part, which I then had to recontact UHaul about to get the tracking information for the final part. When I arrived at the pickup location, the trailer's light plug was broken and the staff had to bring the trailer inside to fix it while I waited. In summation: I had no contact from UHaul about my order shipment until I asked about it, and even then I had to ask four separate times for four shipments. I was not notified in a timely or clear manner about the unavailability of one of the parts that I ordered; by the time I found out about it I had to scramble and spend even more time trying to find a suitable replacement with no help from UHaul. When I went to pick up the trailer, it was broken. I will not be recommending UHaul to anyone going forward. This was a difficult process and customer service was unhelpful.

Guy tried to charge me $68 in fuel saying I started with 3/4 tank. I finally found my contract that showed half a tank. I just hate to think of the people who maybe lost the slip of paper (contact). I didn't get an apology or anything. I felt treated like a thief.

I will not use uhaul again. I live in Baden and could not get a truck from that depot or from the Petersburg depot. I had to go into Kitchener for the truck. they should have delivered it to baden and that would have saved me mileage.

I was called the morning of my moving day and was told they did n have the 26” foot truck I had reserved because the customer prior did not return it to the proper location. I was told there was nothing they could do since there were no 26” trucks available within 200miles. I was offered a 15”truck to move a 3 bedroom house. Was on the phone for over 20 minutes asking for a bigger truck. The only truck that could be found was a 20” ft in Kitchener, when my original reservation was in Etobicoke. Absolutely terrible service. I don't understand how it is acceptable to call a customer the morning of their reservation to tell them they don't have a vehicle for them even though everything was confirmed the day prior. People are under a legal contract to move out of their house at a certain day and time. This company is obviously unreliable and it should be disclosed to customers that the vehicle they booked is not guaranteed.

Maybe be spelling your customers name correctly and being much more clearer on deposit details over the phone and state no cash deposits on your aderversments... before they arrive all happy and eager to go at your store, would greatly improve things? Was not happy being left to discover that all planned out things have to suddenly change because of your no cash deposit policy. The effects to all of ones moving plans are how they become spoiled, were very inconvenient, frustrating and indeed time consuming. Secondly my having to depend on reluctant family members at moments notice, needing them to entrust me with their credit card info to me was a bit unnerving, completely embarrassing and slightly damaging to close relative relation ships. The choice I make to not hold a "major credit card" (even though my bank card says VISA and held more than any deposit should need on it) just to earn credit card companies free money, or legally steal my money... Is not something that I should be penalised by regection for. Harshly turning away a solid customer who is intended of doing only good business with people who are dependable, is not only stupid, but downright bias and completely unfare... especially when $400 was declined by your associate after being informed upon signage that my moving day was crushed and I am nothing but a P.O.S. only because I choose to not do business with creditors who are envolved with equafax. "They are not gods voice, often completely 100% wrong with only one sided accusations and are one thing that I despise more than anything". My rental history should be what I am judged upon in order for you people to trust me, without some fancy piece of plastic that anyone can obtain after every 7 years no matter what kind of people they are. You used to hold my cash until the well maintained, properly operated and respectably cleaned equipment was returned to you as planned and this complaint is ment to make someone out there aware that bad things are happening to good people, because of doing business with them... The mobile pickup feature was worse than useless. It said I had an outstanding item in my account and gave me a number to call. I was answered by someone in USA who said I had a large outstanding balance for a cargo van in Texas, where I've never been. They said they could not release the truck to me. The advice was to open an identity theft claim with police, which would have wasted my day when my family had to move. I finally just went inside the store and I was able to get my truck without any issues, so there is a Camada-US link that needs to be broken in U-Haul's backend database or something. U-Haul wasted my time and caused me undue anxiety, not a pleasant experience at all.

I am very disappointed with this uhaul service because I made a reservation a 15' moving truck to use for 24 hours starting at Friday 30th at 5:30pm. When I arrived on U-Haul store the attendant said that I should to return the truck on Saturday 31th at 8am and not 5:30pm. I told him that my reservation was for 24 hours and he just said that that truck was reserved to another costumer on Saturday 31th at 8am and for this reason I had to return the truck at 8am. I am very disappointed. I had to move out on the overnight and I work on Saturday. U-haul just doesn't care about the costumer. They want only to make money. I do not recommend this service to anyone.

Your store manager was very rude to me and I accidentally filled the vehicle I rented from half to full and I wasn't supposed to. I spent 50 dollars of my own money doing so and she said she couldn't credit me back which I thought was not very proper since this was an honest mistake I made. The vehicle was given to me at half full and I thought you always return them with a full tank of gas. She did not explain this very well and she is your store manager at your Charles and Victoria location in Kitchener Ontario. She could of even gave me a credit for next time or a store credit. I will be getting a hold of customer service with your corporate headquarters and I will not be using uhaul'S services in the future. This is not how you treat a paying customer and my mom was also there with me to see it first hand. Gracias por tu tiempo.

My contract said 150 miles included in the base fee and when I returned the van they claimed it was 150 kilometers and of course they charged me mileage fees. This was at the Charles St. location in Kitchener, Ontario. When I said I wanted to talk to a manager, the lady said call the company...its not my problem.
