I rented a 17' Truck and my reservation was "guaranteed". When I arrived, there was not a 17' Truck and instead I got a 15' Truck. The smaller truck resulted in me having to make more trips to complete my move, which resulted in a significant amount of added miles charged at $1.89/mile. My bill ended up being double of what I anticipated. In addition, I was charged for two dollys on my final bill, even though I only ordered one dolly and was only given one dolly.DAVID I.

I will NEVER rent from this location ever again. The staff was unknowledgeable and disrespectful. My reservation was not honored. My unit got flooded out and no one notified me so my stuff got destroyed and they still made me pay for the unit although they said they would prorate me for the month of November. The entire experience was nothing short of awful and I would throw my things in the garbage before I went from this facility again. First, I was supposed to pick up a 15 ft truck from Dreams Furniture (1918 N. 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122) and it was a nightmare. You need to terminate whatever contract you have with him. He was about to hand me the keys and then told me it was a local truck and I couldn't take it one way, which was in direct contrast to the reservation I made. I then had to scramble and could only get a 10 ft truck, which was NOT enough for all my belongings, and then had to make two trips. If I ever move again, I will do everything I can to NOT use U-Haul after this experience.FRANK L.

The outside of the van was dirty but the inside was clean. The staff mumbled and was hard to understand at times. Checking in and checking out was rather easy, but I did not feel like they wanted my business at all. I'd return, but only because the location is convenient to my home.KRISTINA R.
The person who helped me at the location was so busy taking a personal call on his phone that he recorded the wrong u-box number. If I had not taken a photo of the box and double checked it against the print out my box and stuff would have ended up in god knows where. This is the worst storage experience ever the place is overrun with mice you get overcharged anytime they feel like they want to put something on your card they do. it was the worst experience there were cockroaches 3 inches long running around my unit …all of the bags and boxes in my unit have holes in them. They were brand new when I bought them in there to store them. The customer bathroom was full of flies . This was a horrible experience. Particularly, when I returned the vehicle. First the rep was rushing me the entire time. Did not check the vehicle when I returned it. The wrong gas level was labeled initially. They put more gas on the form, then was actually on the vehicle. The next day, I received a phone call from U-Haul staying that I never returned the vehicle. I had to go to the location to straighten things out. Apparently, the person who checked me in, never put the return of the vehicle in the system. They thought I kept the vehicle over night. Horrible experienceCHE B.

THe u- haul experience was terrible!. We rented from one location, and it was changed to a completely different inconvenient location. When we got to the new location, they told us the reservation was cancelled! After 30 minutes and much frustration, we got a truck with no gas in it. It did not have a working driver's side mirror and the truck was old and rough-handling on the road. We have rented two other trucks in the past two months with no problems...now I am not sure we would ever consider using U-haul again. The staff were rude and lacked appropriate customer service training and the equipment was subpar.JAMES A.

I am a first responder in Philadelphia Pa, we help families with fires and disasters, the customer service is poor and too laid back the workers are not paying attention to the customers needs when it comes to service and supplies. For the most part things were good. There are some employees that seem to be grumpy and miserable. I am not sure why they are then in a service position. With that said. It is certainly not everyone that works there. Another issue was the card pass. There were 11 locations that were more in my area of my home to pick up a truck from. But, they sent me to PHila. and I do not know why there couldn't have something closer. 11 locations!!!! The ride to Philly was HORIBLE!!! Way down in Philly, where they probably thought we couldn't find. It took 40 min each way and took away from the packing. Unbelievable!!!!! After taking the truck from The lot after doing mobile check in I arrived to my location to load my truck and when I opened the back door it was roaches everywhere. The interior of the cab smelled like smoke. The knob to roll down the window was broken and the driver sunvisor was missing. This truck should not have been in service and available to rent at all! I also ordered a furniture dolly and it was not in my rental when I picked it up so I would have had to come back to get that costing me more miles and money. When I brought the truck back I was still charged for the rental even though it was unusable and just wasted my time. I also asked about upgrading my truck to a larger one and was told they didn't have any available even though online It was telling me they did and that my rental would be guaranteed. I will never rent from this location again. The staff always has a bad attitude and act like you are inconveniencing them.Steffani G.

1. This was not my original location. I arrived at another location and was not given the lock box code. I sat on hold for 20 minutes and then had to drive to this location to get the truck 2. The truck smelled horrible of cigarette smoke If I could find an alternative to UHaul, I would. Sadly, UHaul had a monopoly in the area and I have no other options. Not my first bad experience with UHaul Lastly, I will need to now call because I was overcharged by $50. Again, just frustrating that my time and energy goes into this.Todd G.

This location is very courteous. However, the vans can be held at a higher standard of cleanliness (swept out, external windows cleaned, and internal cabs wiped down with a disinfectant prior to next renter.) Move-in had some issues due to the employee helping me put me in the wrong unit this causing me to receive emails saying I didn't pay, my locker was going to taken away, and other alarming/confusing/stressful stuff. After a few days, the manager straightened it out but then my autopay on the account got deleted when they updated my account with the new locker space. This caused me to have to pay a penalty for late rent. After I fixed that, all was fine. The staff was very helpful, they always are but whenever you have an issue with Uhaul and something goes wrong with your reservation. Uhaul doesn't take responsibility for it, my last trip to Philadelphia I moved out of Kyu storage to get a free storage room which I didn't get because you're at 95% capacity which was not told to me before moving from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to save money. Actually cost me more than I saved.
