I really am really very upset with u haul. On Friday 9-20-19 I called the Keene store to see if they HAD a truck available for tent. My truck broke down I run a delivery wedding delivery business. My husband had a ride to the store and I just wanted to know if he should go down there. The woman Amanda was SO RUDE. She would not answer the question if there was a truck available or not. She demanded a credit card and told me someone would call in a couple hours with a pick up time & location. I reviewed my situation- no vehicle with a ride needed a truck with a tow hitch and she would not budge. I again explained I am 20 minutes away with a ride leaving in five minutes should we come down is there a truck available? she then insisted on my CC without even telling me if a truck was available. I was in such a station being wedding season and all I gave to her and called another store to find out of Keen had truck. THAT is the MOST ridiculous way to get a booking. My CC was DEMANDED before I was even told if a truck was available!!!! ANd then when we got into the store we waited 15 minutes the store was empty another customer came in and we both started walking around and hollering HELLO until three people came out of teh back. NOPE WORST experience ever with booking -

I found it frustrating that the representative guilted me for not having the truck returned on the day originally discussed. Moving is a stressful enough process. Followed by closings. We were delayed, with all of our things packed up. He said things like “well you really put us in a jam, but i managed to figure it out.” And went on at length about how inconvenienced he was. I’m not sure what he expected me to do. It was only after this I realized uhaul charges an extra $20 a day when you go over. So he complained AND uhaul was getting a fee. These things happen. His understanding and a less patronizing tone would have been appreciated or not charging me that $20/day. The rest of the staff was amazing and helpful. The truck was great.

I just found the parking situation confusing. Fortunately I had two cell phone linked to the move. Because my cell phone died and that would have made our 9 pm return very difficult. What happens if you don’t have a cell phone?

We were disappointed by an unreasonable fuel charge that the staff would not fix. We will not recommend that others use U-Haul in Keene. We had been warned that U-Haul was known for hidden fees and nickel-and-dime charges. We've learned first-hand that this is true. We will not be back.

My truck was not at the reserved location. Had to drive to Keene to pick up. My reservation was for concord. Wasted a moving day picking up equipment.

We chose to do a walk in so everything would be on the up and up. She took several minutes to do an inspection of the truck and charged us a little over three dollars for the excess mileage and then we get a receipt saying that there was damage to a tire and bumper that was missed at the time of inspection. That is poor ass business and I’m going to contact their insurance companies to make sure something isn’t being paid. Nothing was wrong with that truck it was a simple move to pick up two rooms of furniture and bring it to our house here in Spofford and return the truck. The truck was never park near any other vehicle or near any building

Truck had bad transmission!! And they didn't give me the hand carts I paid 30.00 for!!!

My only suggestion would be to have the actual Uhaul rep come outside and go over the vehicle WITH you to review any scratches or damage before you leave with it. I had to walk back inside several times with questions that could have been answered quickly if the rep had come outside WITH me instead of just handing me the key and telling me where to find the vehicle.

Went into the store to schedule a reservation and had a very pleasant experience. The lady was very helpful and offered me a rate of 40 cents a mile. A few days later I called to confirm the reservation and had asked about possibly picking up the truck the night before my reservation just in case I had time to swing by and grab it to make the following day of loading and unloading less stressful. They said absolutely we can leave the key in a box and you can checkout on the App. Turned out I was unable to make it that night and went in the following morning ( when my reservation was scheduled for) and was informed that my reservation was cancelled. And now I was gonna have to pay $1.29 per mile. And there was no way to honor the .40cent per mile that we agreed on. Over my 250 mile trip that became a substantial cost to me for a reason that was never explained to me.

It started with the hitch install that took 2 appointments to complete because they didn't have the correct wiring then cancelled our reservation because we were late picking up. The person who waited on us was rude and wouldn't do anything to help us find the trailer we needed in the area. She was condescending and acted like I was an idiot. We ended up having to take the next size up and had to pay over 100 more in order to meet our cross country move for our daughter. I'll drive to another town the next time I need to rent from uhaul rather than go to the Keene NH store.

Not the check out, check in was great but according to check out there seems to be an issue, she gave me the impression she could care less...Not a good experience, nor did she offer the misunderstanding any input

A couple of concerns. The rates are much higher than comparable storage facilities. The fact that you are made to buy a uhaul lockseems unfair costing the customer even more money.

Amanda is a great Uhaul Representative. I had a small mess up with original reservation. She worked things out for me, and made my experience very easy going. It was also fast and convenient.

The manager at the Keene NH store was very rude! They failed to mention that you have to buy a uhaul lock and use ONLY a Uhaul lock plus all the added fees and only access the unit during store hours!

Units were falling apart & RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. 100/month for a 5x7? INSANE especially since it was a very poorly built shed falling apart inside of a building. & FORCED to buy THEIR lock for $20!
