I returned the vehicle at the same fuel level noted when I picked it up yet I was charged $30+ for fuel. I contacted the store and asked about it but received no reply. I am not happy with my experience.Josh K.
I rented a 9 ft. cargo van and it was great. Easy to drive ( I am in my sixties), good air-conditioning, nice radio, etc. The one negative was it would have been easier if there was pull bars mounted by the doors to help you in the van. I moved everything in one load. Thank you.DEBRA LYNN B.

Only reason I don't give 5 stars is that the trailer that I booked wasn't there so it took 45 minutes for them to figure that out and switch my order to another trailer. Everyone was super nice about it but a 45 minute delay on move day is stressful.Bryan W.

Your call center sucks. Received an email that my vehicle was going to need to be inspected before pulling the rental trailer. Call the number for what I thought was the store but it was the call center, waited 20 minutes online for someone. They said they would send a message to the store to get the inspection scheduled. After 3 hours still hadn't heard from anyone, called the call center again waited another 10 minutes, the person said that something must be wrong with the system and that they were going to connect me with another department to get it scheduled. Waited on the phone another 15 minutes and while waiting I tried contacting other stores to see if someone had a trailer that I could rent as I needed this confirmed before going into the weekend. Unfortunately all the other stores route into the call center also. Finally I hung up and drove over to the store. They were great and inspected the trailer. Your call center is terrible and the long waits are unacceptable. This will weigh heavily into my decision whether ever use U-Haul again.JAMES THOMAS F.

Don't tell your Customer you are giving them free miles because you had to go 30 miles to get a uhaul had reserved for a month. Then not only not give them the miles but charge them for going over the original 135 miles.STEVEN G.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pickup truck that I had reserved wasn't returned from the previous renter. I was offered a cargo van at the same price and it more than fit my needs. I'm moving, so I have used the 1004 Portage location 3 times in last week--twice to purchase supplies and once to rent a van. Lines are long and waiting time today was 40 minutes. The 2 workers are pleasant but they cannot keep up with demand. Never enough workers. People in line understandably get frustrated. Transactions seem overly complicated. Completing documentation online doesn't decrease one's time standing in line to get service.LEE MICHAEL P.

I was forced to take a larger truck and pay a HUGE amount (double, in fact) for fuel because the truck which I reserved was, again, not there for me. I absolutely had to move, so I had to take the truck. I regret my decision to move using Uhaul. This message better get relayed to this locations team and higher up management! I've had a hard couple of hard weeks due to a parent getting sick (not covid) and the emotions of moving cities. Everyone at this location was SUPER POLITE to me and it made my entire day. Everyone I worked with was extremely polite and kind to me during the pick-up and drop off process. I worked in retail management for 5 years and everyone was EXCEPTIONAL at this location. I wish the world was filled more with the kindness of this particular u-haul team, especially during these times. I have been using this place for years and have always had bad experiences. Standing in line forever. My equipment not ready. Computers down...etc etc etc. I am told they are under newer management. This is a pretty good place to do buisness as long as you stay in touch with them they are very easy to work with. The only thing that I had an issue with at first was finding the number for the actual Uhaul Service center and Storage Facility that I was working with. I recommend that you ask for their direct number when you are in the facility filling out paperwork so that you do not have to go through the corporate phone tree and answering service which by the way is not very helpful and has proved to be very frustrating compared to working directly with the on site staff members.amanda w. | First Impressions

While I did reserve a vehicle for 3:30pm pickup, I had to wait in line for others to do their business and did not get my truck til 4:00pm. Reservation or not the rental time should start when the customer pays for the vehicle. If I had allowed an extra hour in my time frame, I would have returning the truck late. Also, I ordered 1 dozen furniture pads and I got a pack of 6. I did not know this til I got to my destination. You can the stack in the pictures I took. Thanks, BillWilliam L.
Had a pick up time at 6:15, something was wrong on uhauls end and it wouldn't take any of my cards. Had to leave to get cash but they never adjusted the return time so we had to rush to get it back in the original time. We were given a truck with no gas, told we'd have a gas credit if we brought it back with a quarter tank. So we drove 10 miles total but had to put more money in gas in the truck than we used and never even got the credit. Way over priced. We got the truck for an hour and a half and with gas and all the other charges it ended up being 80$. Wouldn't recommend.MORGAN CHARLES A.

We had an outstanding experience with the U-Haul. We were coming from three hours out of town and hit construction which put us behind our scheduled pick up time. During a busy moving season in a college town, the staff was kind enough to move our pickup and return time to ensure we had adequate time for our move. Pick up was smooth, the staff helpful and friendly. There was different staff on duty when we returned the trailer and moved into the storage unit but the service was the same, top notch. The manager was polite and trying very hard to efficiently handle the folks in the queue waiting for service. Unfortunately, he opted to try to handle two customers simultaneously at two registers.
