A few days prior to pick up, I rcvd a voicemail with instructions to pickup at another location and that the vehicle would be ready for an 8AM pickup on May 9. I arrived at that location at 8:10AM, logged into the app and was notified via the app that the pickup was converted to hand pickup and I had to wait for the store to open at 9AM. I called into the 800 # and waited for approx 30 mins before speaking with an agent. They looked into the reservation and found out that the store did not put the key into the lockbox for my pickup. She apologized, made some notes and trasferred me to CS to get the $50 Reservation Guarantee credit applied. CS told me they see this issue happening often. I also hired movers via Uhaul and needed to finish prepping before they arrived. Once the store opened up, the in store asked for my name (didn't greet me as a customer, just said "last name"). After I gave him my info, I told him what happened. He then told me that the app should still let me complete the check in process and someone has to fix the broken app. He also told me how the system shouldn't have let the agent closing the night before without putting the key in the lockbox. He provided me all the reasons why things didn't work properly. He didn't once apologize or empathize for not having the truck ready. I am going through a divorce and was on a very tight schedule with movers. This delayed my entire day. I would like a call back from a district manager to discuss. Gracias.Steven G.

There was no walk through inspection of the truck, I got a faulty truck that broke down on me because of the negligence. And when I asked for a refund for the inconvenience the manager told me the only one inconvenienced was here since she had to pick up truck. It was ok until I didn't need storage anymore. The lady at the front desk was lazy. Instead of assisting me with closing my account and storage unit she just sat there and then neglected her duties. I turned in my access card and lock. She assured me my account was closed but now I'm receiving phone calls, letters, and emails saying that I owe money and late fees. It's really frustrating and embarrassing for my reference to receive a letter saying I'm not paying my bills. Also it takes more than 20 minutes each time I call in to get a representative on the phone. During the time I used the storage, my things were invaded by cockroaches, I had multiple pairs of shoes, clothes, and purses molded. I also had a printer stand, and some other shelving molded as well and I took pictures of it, but was told that in order to file a claim that I would have to keep it open (and keep paying $95 a month) and that since I had already took pictures and threw my damaged goods away, that I would not be able to file claim - although I paid for insurance from July through February.Angenita W. | Overall Experience

She proceeded to tell me there was nothing she could do and i had to figure out something. I had rented trailer and did a trip alabama and my truck broke down, I asked if I could turn it back in Alabama as I already had it towed the rest of the way. The uhaul location I rented from tried to help but upper management didn't want to help, was told I had to rent a truck from uhaul to bring the trailer back and if I didn't return the trailer the process would be started for being stolen. So I ended up making a trip back to Alabama and add days to trailer rental and a lot of money to rent a truck plus gas so I am very upset with uhaul and may never rent again almost out of 400 dollars seems like all they wanted was money and never tried to help me.ERICK M.

The associate had given me my 1st Key and the vehicle did not have gas. She asked me if I wanted to put gas in it ( I hope she was kidding, since this was Halloween). I responded, as long as you want it back empty, she said no. Apparently someone else returned it on empty. This was the 1st time I had to put such a small charge on my major credit card.... The girl was eating and never came out to help me check the thuck in, so I went inside after ringing the outside bell. When I went inside she was more interested in eating and said just leave the keys and we will email you a receipt. I wanted to know what my price was and she acted like she couldn't pull it up after 10 minutes of waiting. She told me that she emailed the receipt but I never got the email. When I first arrived at U-Haul I thought my storage unit would be ready and I could just start moving my belongings inside. Not only was it not ready but it was not cleaned out either. The manager on duty decided to offer a smaller unit do we could start moving and got upset when we declined. Even though we ordered the largest one. (We ordered the largest unit for a reason our belongings would not fit in a smaller one, if she would have offered to then that would have worked). She promised we could come tomorrow and everything will be cleaned out and bombed. We came back the next day our storage unit was still not ready nor was it clean. To put the cherry on top of the whole situation our U-Haul truck was also not ready even though we had already reserved it. The U-Haul manager on duty said that the U-Haul truck was at another unit and only offered us gas to go get it. I would not recommend this to family nor friends.
