Not all of the workers were inviting and professional. I think customer service is everything and everyone should present good customer service. The first time I used this location a young man was very rude, dismissive and unprofessional however the 2nd time everyone was lovely.

1. The size I requested was not available at the site. 2. We were sent to Jamaica, not close to our house. 3. We get to Jamaica and they didn't have it, they told us to come back at 7: PM. 4. We went back at 7: and they still didn't have the size we ordered. We obtained our money back + $50 for annoyance fee. Hire better managers.

Vehicle had steering and air conditioning issues. Called for roadside assistance but was told a minimum of 60-90 minutes until a service expert would arrive. Asked if I could leave it at the location I was at since it was a u haul drop off. Customer service rep on phone said no and I explained to her that it would be a liability for me to drive a truck with issues back and she said it must be returned to the pick up location. The staff at the pick up location was exceptional. Best I’ve dealt with so far. The truck was very clean just had mechanical issues.

The people employed at this location are THE most unprofessional set of individuals I have ever worked with in my life. They are very nonchalant, they obviously don't care about their jobs and are very hard to work with. I feel like a regional manager or someone higher up needs to go in there and sort things out because my entire experience with them was horrible.

The overall experience was ok until they have to pick up the empty boxes they didn’t pick up in time because they keep changing the pick up day for all kinds of different reasons, (the truck broke down,the hi low is not working properly, etc) at the end they charge me another month of rental storage several hundreds of dollars for their mistake, now I’m fighting the charge,

Check in went smoothly but the truck was not clean when we got it. The next part is the scary part. NOT ONE PERSON on the phone or in the facility told me that the rental could not be driven on the highway and besides for the fact that I could have been killed it ended up costing me an extra 25+ miles and over 2 hours of my time. I was pulled over but luckily the officer had compassion on me as I was more scared than anything else after stopping before an overpass that would have taken the top off... This should have been discussed. I am not a trucker and I did not know these things... I simply rented to move some furniture... This was a terrible experience.

Overall U-haul was a positive experience for me, and I would recommend. However, when my moving help arrived at the Jamaica location to pick up the boxes, the location didn't have my boxes ready, which resulted in a lot of confusion, and unfortunately delayed me by 5 hours. Also, the location charged me for the next months rent, on the same day I unloaded my boxes. All customer service representatives (from corporate and the Jamaica office) were VERY helpful, professional, and kind, however it still took over a month to resolve, as most of the calls I made resulted in just an email to the location. I think the calling structure of U-haul is very complex and not helpful. I would try to call the location and it took me to corporate (who couldn't help me with the refund). It eventually got resolved, but the phone tag was a bit frustrating.

This is the second time I have used the UBox service, the first time my belongings, in the UBoxes were lost during shipment and arrived late, which I was reimbursed for, to some degree. This time, everything was lost twice, once before and once after shipment. Every person, but one, I spoke to on the phone told me they would contact me right back, but never did, with an update. I finally spoke to a CSR who was able to locate my Uboxes, and I was finally able to schedule movers to pick them up and unload them, 2 weeks after it was supposed to happen. When trying to report these issues by way of chat sessions, multiple CSRs disconnected from me while I was typing a response, something that does show in your chat app. The last CSR I spoke with on the phone informed me that she had escalated to a manager and that someone would contact me shortly, that was over a week ago and still no call back. I couldn't in good conscience recommend this service to anyone, for any reason, this has been the most unpleasant move I have had in my lifetime, and that is strictly a result of experiences with Uhaul.

The price per mileage is too expensive. I moved from California where the cost of living is just as expensive as New York and the cost per mileage was 99 cents, here it is a $1.79. I would not use your company again. So sorry I even chose to use storage with you. I might ultimately change very soon.

My only recommendation is to hire more staff. Even though my rental experience was exceptional with both employees, this facility is incredibly understaffed for the volume of clientele they have.

Customers should be served expeditiously. I waited in line for about 1hr before a representative could attend to me, and the most unfair situation was when a customer walked right in and cut through the line and got attended to. This happened on Sunday June 2nd, 2019 at around 1:30pm

Do not let customers keep equipment longer if there are existing reservations. I had a 10AM reservation for a 9ft van, as did 6 other people, and they were short, as 2 customers from the day before had to be called to return them, and just renewed their contracts. What's the point of having reservations if there is no equipment available. Finally got a van after 11 AM. People behind me were still waiting. And the online check in kept giving me vans that other people had paperwork for.

I use uhaul all the time for my business and the customer service is usually superb!! This location is the worst customer service and lack of urgency for customers who need to leave. I spent 2 hours to pick up a trailer on Friday morning. There were 4 people online and it took 2 hours. Employees were not paying attention to any of the customers and when when they did pay attention it was like they were doing me and other customers a favor!! Took me 40 min to get my trailer hooked up had to wait for an employee who looked like he was on vacation he should of been wearing sandals and a tank top. On return on Sunday 1 customer in front of me took me 40 minute to return the trailer back and they made me drive the back to the back with my own car not leave it at equipment drop off Becouse they had no pick up trucks to bring it to the back!!( which I don’t mind ) but when I got to the back I had to unhitch my own trailer. No one even came to back to help , with that took another 25 minutes for me to do it myself. I’m glad I didn’t make my wife or someone who didn’t know how to unhook it. I will never use this location again. I’m glad I’ve had good experience with other uhaul locations or I would never use uhaul again!

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I spent 2.5 hours trying to get a storage at this place. No one could tell me how to Get to my locker. Instructions on how the garage door worked were never given to me. When I finally my locker and found it there was a lock on the door. It was pouring raining and I had to run back and forth from the storage unit to the main office several times to try and get someone to get the lock off the door. Finally I was given a key in. Exchange for my ID, which she was probably not suppose to do, to unlock the door myself. Now it’s close to closing time and I’m finally able to get my stuff to my locker. Once I open my locker I realize that it looks nothing like the one in the showroom! It’s the size of a hall closet about 4x smaller than the one they showed me! I can’t fit my bed frame in it and the rest of my things barely fit. At this time I’m getting several calls from the employee at the front desk saying she’s leaving and they are closing and she needs me to bring the key back. I see how fast they are when it’s time for them to clock out but how slow they drag their feet when it comes to Helping customers. I get into my car in an attempt to Pull out of the garage and the garage door won’t go up. My car is now stuck. I had to get someone to let me back into the storage room to go out of a side door back into the rain because the employee was threatening to leave and not give my ID back. I get to the front and she gets out of a car and has my ID in her pocket! I tell her that my car is stuck as well as other employees that are gearing up to leave and they point to a man that’s inside and says “he’s going to help you.” They all get into their cars and leave. Again I am waiting outside in a downpour for an employee to help me. I sit their for a few minutes and no one comes out. I knock on the door and the guy motions to me that they are closed! My car is still stuck and by this time I’m infuriated. He has no clue where my car is or that he was suppose to help me in the first place. He finally comes around and opens the door for me. I tell him that the storage is not the size I was showed and I can’t fit my bed frame in it. He shrugs his shoulders and tells me there’s no where for me to put it and there’s nothing he can do. I had to leave my frame that I just purchased out just to probably get fined by them. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had! This needs to be fixed.

The van that I received didn't have working AC. The vehicle thermometer read 88 degrees, which made the driving experience horrible. In warm temps, the AC should be inspected; and I would expect in cold temps the heater would be tested.

Twice my husband and I requested for our u-boxes to be ready at the storage facility so we could go through them and condense from 2 boxes to 1. I called the 1-888 number the first time and gave them a date and time with more that 24 hours notice. My husband showed up and it was not available. They told him it would not be available for an hour and he left giving them another date and time he was going to come back a few days later. On the day he showed up to the facility our u-boxes were not ready for us to go access and we waited for 3 hours until they were. In the middle of moving our stuff a employee was rude and asked when we were going to be done because they closed at 7p. Very inconsiderate since we wasted 3 hours waiting for them to do their job!!

There were no furniture pads, the uhaul arrived 3 hours late which was very inconvenient since they told me I needed to sit there and save them a parking space. Then when I called to have the box picked up they never showed up on the set date 5/25,and did not even bother to communicate with me about this. They then arrived 2 entire days later to pick it up. I was also charged extra fees I was not quoted for and the woman I spoke with on the phone was nothing short of RUDE to me.

The store needs more cashiers to help move customers transactions along, to get them in and out faster. On the weekend, it seems as the line is always long and of course, I understand that the staff has to be accurate but, they also have to understand our time is valuable and the van time is limited.

When I received the truck and got to my location it was properly clean however when I took it back I swept it clean and still was told it was not clean and would be charged a cleaning fee after explaining how i got the truck it was waved. The amount of gas I got the truck with was also a dispute

As i parked up and finished up the return process. There were some young adults walking around the empty trucks in the lot. They were checking to see if any doors were open to run through the vans. Please inform the uhaul company so they can’t put a stop to it. Someone could possible lose a forgotten item. Thank you very much for the service. And i just want to let you guys know as fast as possible. If the company wants to run some cameras. This took place on may 18, 2019 between 8-9:30. This is very unsafe

Available manager. None of their computers were working. Got my key 45 minutes after my reservation because the guy that was as working outside came inside and suddenly knew what to do, but the two inside workers couldn’t figure the computer buffering out. The delay caused my friendship car to be towed costing $160. This was the worst service ever I think any other uhaul in queens would’ve been a better choice. Never using this one again

It took almost 2hrs to get a truck ( over an hour of it spent waiting on line). I reserved a 17ft for 11am had to settle for a 26ft unless I went to another location. There was someone without a reservation who got the truck. I suggest there should be a line for those who reserved and 1 for walk ins, with reservations given priority.

The female rep that created my order and fixed the telephone reps mistakes was extremely professional and helpful. The male rep who attempted to help me return the device later that day was very unprofessional, he insisted that I drive to the off loading area and unhook the trailer from my vehicle and push the unit into a parking space as he stood near me before he would make out my return receipt. I thought this was very suspicious as I am not qualified neither a employee of your company and would have to sue in the event of injuries (Fortunately I only suffered dirty hands). This returning rep should be spoken to about this unsafe practice. I'll be sure to avoid any of your facilities that he work at in the future.

It was incredibly hard to access my locker without having to lock my vehicle and my locker each time and neighborhood wasn't safe. Nobody was there in the afternoon to check out of my locker.

The only thing I didn't think was safe was the staircase, every floor is locked from the inside so you get stuck in the staircase and it can be very scary. Other than that one issue I was a satisfied
