It is very frustrating that I had a reservation to pick up a trailer in key largo but had to drive to homestead. It always feels like uhaul plays a shell game with where i reserve to pick up and where I have to go to pick up.

Trailer was not an inspected. One tire had a drywall screw & I had to plug the flat tire myself. The back of the trailer door had grease all around the handle. I spent an hour degreasing & washing the entire trailer! While inside the store I noticed moving blankets for rent. I was told “$5.00 to rent, $40 if you don’t return”. Two days after my completed rental, a $42 charge showed up on my bill. I called the store & an employee stated there is a $5 a day rental. At NO TIME was I told about the $5 a day rental, & nothing on the shelf were the blankets are displayed! I asked to speak to the mgr. 3 days passed & no response. I called corporate who filed my complaint & said to wait another 3-5 days for the mgr to respond. On the 4th day, the mgr (unk name) called & said there was nothing he could do!!

Well first of all, maybe you need a whole new staff at this location. They are not welcoming at all. One person can't handle stressful situations. The other person runs away and smokes cigarettes in front of the building. And the manager hides in the back of the store.

I have been a customer for many years and will continue to do business with Uhaul. The only issue I had was with the additional charges that I received weeks after I had paid in full. Going forward I would appreciate the bill to be final at the time of return. Thanks.

While I gave it high ratings this place is small and some areas don’t have a. Pull through area while trying to off load a trailer makes it difficult. I will point out that Alex needs to understand professionalism in the work environment. While waiting I witnessed him with another customer and while in the middle of a transaction he paused to answer a personal call.. although it was a few seconds and he appeared annoyed it clearly was not an emergency. I thought that was disrespectful to a paying customer.

Extra equipment reserved was not in the truck and when requested my experience was less than pleasant. There needs to be more help outside for customers. I was not the only one missing things which is probably why I got an attitude.

The location wasn’t ready with my truck. I was waiting for almost an hour. I missed an important appointment for installation at my home due to this. I lost money with movers that were at my storage unit waiting on me to bring the truck also! It was unacceptable and unfortunate!

Overall the box delivery to Reno was smooth. The one hiccup we ran into was getting the the box delivered to my house. Apparently, the employees at the uhaul location didn’t have the box ready for pickup when the delivery driver arrived, and caused me to drive to the uhaul location and pack up the box at on site. I was told by the driver that he waited two hours for the box and ran out of time. Then when I arrived at the uhaul office, the employee told me he only waited 15 minutes and just left. Not sure what happened and who’s telling the truth but the event did throw a wrench into our moving plans.

There was a mouse in the storage and they didn’t add the lock they said they were going to leave in the unit. They also didn’t give clear instructions on how to get access to the building after hours. You’re only able to access certain doors. It didn’t make sense. It was also very hot in the building.

Someone had smoked in the truck prior to me. The truck was clean, but stunk. I hope they get a pro in to do a deep cleaning. They probably won't. The no smoking stickers are barely visible and they need to make a better effort at preventing it.

The employees there seemed to have zero energy, another employee was standing around on his phone not doing anything, and the store just doesn’t seem to care. I got charged almost $670 to bring a truck up to Orlando and drop it off. Ridiculous prices.

I ordered a 2021 Highlander wiring kit, but for some reason, the locations computer was showing a 2023 wiring kit for the car, so the gentleman looked into it and verified my order and apologized they didn't have it. Another location did have one and he ordered it from them and said he'll call me when it comes in. I live in the Florida Keys and this was the closest location - 100 miles from my home to have a hitch installed. Why doesn't Key West or Key Largo do installs? There is definitely a need here! I want to emphasize that the customer service was good, but not having the correct info in your system is inexcusable as I called to verify everything was in order a few days ahead of time. The employees were very busy and hadn't even had lunch by 3 pm! Management and I.T. need to get their act together.

Place associates in the fron desk who know what theyre doing and know there inventory. The gentleman before me was asking for a motorcycle trailer and was told rhere were non. The guys father went to look and found one. I put a reservation for a sprint van and they tried to give me a regular cargo van. I specifically asked for a sprint van and pointed at the photo above his head. Either he's over worked or he's slow. If you ask me i would put the kids to work in the back and place the adults up front. Homestead fl branch.

The average rating has to do with the reservation system. I booked a “10x10x8 Split Level 1st Floor Upper Level Climate.” Upon arrival I was told that the unit I reserved and confirmed was not actually available. Instead, I was offered a similar size unit on the first floor, but was told it would be an extra $30/mo. I was then told the manager would speak with regional office in order to resolve the issue. I don’t think it’s fair for your customer to bear the burden of a faulty reservation system, especially since I called and confirmed my reservation the day prior to arrival. I am still waiting to hear back regarding a resolution. I expect U-Haul to honor the rate in my confirmed reservation which is attached. Thank you. The staff was friendly and the facility was clean as my son was moving in but when he want to the storage the rats and roaches damaged most of his things that he had to throw away. He took pictures hopefully he will get reimbursed he barely had anything and the little bit he had was destroyed.

Everything outside the unit is good. Employees do their best and for the pay they receive I do not blame the lack of certain things. However I am uhaul employee (not at this store) and I am disappointed with uhaul. My mom rented one climate controlled unit and a regular unit and both units had rat feces which one couch got thrown away and all the bed mattresses as well of the amount of feces that was on it and it was shown to the employees before taking it out. When someone damages anything at uhaul, uhaul is quick to act but when a customers belongings gets damage they sure like to take their sweet time and redirect the call.

There was 4 staff members in the office but only one working. Two were at computers and when we asked if they could help they said no. Eventually one of them said he could. He sent a link to my phone for me to upload my drivers license (takes legitimately 1min) and walked away. We found him playing on his phone. Our checkin took 50mins when at my last location it was 5min. 50mins for something that took me 5mins to move in.

I had storage for over a year and I have had no problem with storage. I moved my belongings out on March 30th 2023. I don't believe I own any late fee because I spoke with the manager about the date that I was moving my belongings out and I was told that I will not be charged. Because it was 3 days after the expiration date, because I was moving on that date.

Toda mi estadía fue perfecta!!! El único inconveniente fue cuando fui a cerrar la cuenta que llegue a las 5:30 pm ya estaban cerrados y fue porque el camión que iba a recoger todo llegó tarde 1 hora!! This facility would've received 5 stars but due to the fact that we rented a "CLIMATE" unit but when we walked into the actual storage warehouse the temperature was as hot as outside, the explanation the cust rep gave us was that the A/C had been down for a few days but she did not know when it was going to be repair, so hopefully I would get what I paid for.

I enjoyed the facility a lot. I had over night access which helped me a lot because I used to get off from work late and run in and grab things when I was moving out. One thing I didn’t like was when the fees spiked after Covid. I relocated to a different state and was able to maintain the fees until may. I payed $236 for 6 months. And from may to June I had to pay my regular fee a late fee and a hold fee totaling to $225. The prices spiked up so much after Covid I had to come close my unit because it became too much to keep track of and my valuables were in my unit so I couldn’t bare to lose them. I was stuck in a yo-yo of prices with them. That was my only complaint the staff were so friendly and kind. I appreciate the staff and the courteous help I received during my time

First I called to confirm my arrival from Key West to the Homestead location. The person answered the phone asked how they could help me. I told them what I needed. There was dead silence for about 15-20 seconds. I asked if they were still there and she rudely replied. Give me a minute, I’m looking at something. It would have been proper to respond to my request and tell me I’ll be right with you let me review your information. But when I arrived at the facility everyone was very helpful.

You all are your own worse enemy. As your staff at the stores are absolutely fantastic, your customer service, follow through, communication, organization, logistics on the phone and everywhere else is the down right WORST! The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. I was on hold for 2 hours and 45 min., transferred 3 times to simply scheduled a pick up for my ubox. You all lost my box. Ran me ragged looking for it. Finally found it ONLY to find out you were holding up your end of the bargain and delivering my box to my front door unless I pay an additional $400! I went ballistic!!!! No way was I paying that, after you all promised deliver was included in my price. No way! So I had to escalate it to a supervisor, who then escalated to someone else etc etc etc. FINALLY with enough complaining I got my box delivered as promised for free. Why did you all put me through that! I don’t need that additional drama! Don’t you realize how stressful MOVING is already all on it’s own! And you wanna add to it!!!! Why? Keep your word THE FIRST TIME AROUND!

The key cards are horrible didnt work correctly till the day I actually moved outod the unit. Before that id have to always go through the inside door. Also very expensive compared to competition.
