This was the second uhaul storage facility we interacted with. The site and staff was a breath of fresh air. The employees at the Wall St facility in Ogden made us feel less than, and was treated very poorly because of our delays in getting to Utah. It's been a struggle for various reasons to move from California and the way we're treated when we arrived just added huge stress. The Clearcield Uhaul 100% eased our stress. Thank you. The employee who brought the box to my house could not come into my community as she did not have a license or photo ID. How does someone drive without a license? I went out and drove the truck in but she could not back it into my driveway. She left and it had to be delivered by someone more competent the next day.Mark G.

The customer service was abysmal. The man helping us explained loudly to the entire store in front of several customers how frustrated he was that we were coming in and disturbing him while he was doing his homework on his personal laptop. I had to turn back to get the dolly which added additional unnecessary time to my mileage. When I called to speak to someone they had told me they were going to transfer me to a manager who could wave my charges for being the couple hours late. I was happy to hear this until upon the transfer the call was disconnected. Which left me with an additional charge of over $69 added to my cost for alreay paid 153 appeox money paid to Uhaul. I felt that that was unnecessary after being told that those charges were going to be waved by one of your representatives. I feel you should honor that process and credit my account the additional day of 40 and the 14 for coverage.ANGELA C.

My personal items were damaged due to something hitting into the side of the box. I tried to use my insurance claim that I payed for. After investigating the insurance told me that it was â€œimproper packing.â€ I followed Uhaul instructions on how to pack. I don't see how something hitting the outside of the box was â€œimproper packingâ€ which places the blame on me and not Uhaul. A employee at the Uhaul facility in Burlington told me I didn't have to take pictures of the box because he did. Because of this the insurance said I didn't have sufficient evidence of the box damage. So now I have a $150 store credit to a company that damaged my stuff and I don't want to use their services. Uhaul gets to keep my money and I'm left with the damage. I am incredibly frustrating. Uhaul was horrible from the start. They were going to send my stuff to a different city dispute Uhauls being in the area. The lady who delivered my box in the first place didn't let me choose a time and altered the time that I had made with the call center so it fit her schedule and not mine. She also left a strap in my road that I had to go to a store to return. My experience with Uhaul was crap.STEPHANIE B.

When I rented my 5x8 trailer I paid cash. The clerk at the time stated I had to provide an additional $100 for security. When I turned the trailer in, the clerk at Woodville Rental informed me that: 1st, They did not have any cash to refund me and that UHaul should have warned me of that. That means UHaul still owes me for my deposit. 2nd, the clerk overcharged me at the time of rental. On my refund paperwork it reflected owing me $60 even though the clerk collected $100 cash. I plan to report this theft of $40 to the local authorities against UHaul located at UHaul Moving and Storage of Hill Field rd 1200 Main St Clearfield, UT 84015 Contract #22905647JOHN THOMAS WAYN L.
Truck checkout after hours was frustrating. I reserved a truck and it took me nearly 30 mins. after arriving at the location to check in and then put in my fiance's phone number, wake her up at 6am and make her wait for a phone call when I was the one renting the truck. Didn't get my full time with the truck because of this and had to rush. Returning the truck and taking all the photos, waiting, etc. was also frustrating and long. Bad experience overall, especially after paying almost $100 for a "$29.99" truck rental.Alan H.

Don't yell at the customer when one is only asking for a realistic time. Was quoted 1-2 hours after 2 1/2 hours I just asked if I could get an updated time frame and was first told by the manager the he could pull the guy off the job and send me on my way. When I asked again I was given a reason that it was a very difficult job that there was a lot of â€œcrapâ€ that needed to be removed before they could work. Mind you the vehicle is a 2019 and I washed the undercarriage the morning I took it in. About 3 1/2 hours later the job was done. The individual that did the work apologized that it took so long and told me the the nuts and bolts were missing for the hitch and they had to get some. Just be honest and don't yell at me like it was my fault or problem.Aaron D.

The staff was friendly. One of them talked fast and mumbled a lot so it was hard to understand them. What was frustrating is that the details of how the garage doors worked, that putting in my code was NOT to open the doors, but to prevent the alarm from sounding. How to take off the green zip tie on my unit....and that there WAS a green zip tie on my unit! Were never explained! Horrible experience. Worst customer service from this location. Was told they don't pro-rate after halfway through the billing cycle. I had made a payment 9 days prior to closing the unit and was still denied refund for remaining time. Was never made aware of this rule at any point in time, only after the employee had closed my unit and I was handed a receipt and I questioned why no refund was I told very rudely about no pro-rated refunds. I did have an issue with the customer service network getting my message through to the facility regarding my end of service but, it was resolved quickly and everyone was nice and professional with the matter. I was told some one would be there to greet us, show us to our unit, and give us a discus lock. We went up ourselves, totally clueless as what to do. It wasn't too hard to get my items to the second floor or find my unit. How ever when we opened my unit, the alarms went off. We searched for an hour for an office or someone to help us. I had to call the out of state helpline. The customer service representative was unable to reach the manager of the site, and she assured me I could leave my items without a lock and nothing bad would happen. I don't prefer to rent a storage unit, but I am happy with Uhaul Storage. I like that the units are indoors, they have carts that make it easy to transfer your belongings. Made a online reservation for a first level 10x15x10 a week or so before check in. It was not till I went to check in that I found out that they did not have any on the first or second floor. The only one available was on the third or I had to take a 10x5x10 and 10x10x10 on the second. This was also meet with the additional cost, because the second and third floor were climate controlled. So not only did I find out that my reservation was not honored but it was going to cost more. The staff was friendly enough, but offered no real solution than the second or third floor at the higher cost. This is why I would rate poorly and would not recommend. Suprise costs and not honoring reservation are not positive signs or good customer practices. I did get a free month, but that was because of a promotion since a had a previous confirmation code from a different uhaul and it was done online.Nicholas B. | First Impressions
