I rented a truck and drove it only 28 miles. The gas gauge was apparently broken because even after I added 15 gallons, $40 in gas, the gauge still showed as lower than when I picked it up. When I returned the truck I told the manger about the problem. I showed him the gas receipt from the station one block away and he confirmed that I had only gone 28 miles, but he said there was nothing he could do. At the very least I shouldn’t have been charged the 79cents per mile after putting $40 of gas in a vehicle with a broken gas gauge.

U-Box was dropped from forklift, with much damage to my property. U-Haul People did not contact me, only the contacted mover to tell of damage. spend last two weeks try to file a claim on insurance gave me 1/2 the replacement value. Would NEVER recommend to anyone.

Truck seemed to need new springs. When I drove it down C-470 concrete section near Bandimere, the truck bounced me around all over the place. If I had furniture et al in the truck at that time, I'm sure some of it would have been damaged.

This experience was great. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman that checked me in and out but it ain’t coming to mind right. Anyway he was working 12/21/19 and took care of everything I needed to get my move done. The guy has excellent customer service and you just don’t find them like him anymore. I stopped by the U-Haul store on West Colfax - U-Haul of Golden - on Sunday to reserve a car hauler. I made the reservation and stopped by on Monday morning only to be told they didn't have the trailer and the reservation had been reassigned to another store. I never received notification. I'm glad the other store was nearby, but this put me behind! You had my email and phone number for a text. It would have been so easy to communicate this with me.

Devon that helped us at the Green Mountain Store was really helpful. A+! I thought the price was too high. The corporate sales guy was kind of pushy on the phone when I made the reservation. His Comment "Not sure what the price will be if you call back." If there is a next time I will shop around a little more for a better price.

There was glass in the trailer that I rented. The gentleman noticed it before I did and tried to clean it, but I was already late and couldn't wait. Also, there was only one employee working the desk, the propane, and the garage. The layout of this shop doesn't make it easy to do all of these things efficiently. For that reason, there was a significant line, and, it seems, lost business as people walked out. The employee was very good at everything and cared about the customers experience...the man deserves a raise.

We have rented several trailers from U-Haul this summer, but this is our first time at this location. We will be back. The employees were very helpful, friendly, and competent. The check-out experience was great, and Devon was more than helpful with our check-in!

The after hours pick up is insane. I would never recommend this to anyone. The process is a joke and to have to sit and wait for someone to chat you in the freezing cold is horrible

There was some broken glass in the trailer that we rented. Since we picked this up in the dusk/ evening we didn't see it at first. Some of our items were scratched in the process, but mainly concerning regarding any injuries and glass that we stepped on.

The location was poorly staffed. The trailer I rented needed to be cleaned (had fine gravel all over the bottom) I returned it much cleaner than when I got it. It was also 30 min away from the location I thought I was picking it up at. I did not know this until I got to the location I though I was picking up at. I was not notified of any change in location. This cost me an hour in loading time. I also only wanted the trailer for one day rental which I was told at this new location it had to be a minimum of two days. This seemed like a bait and switch scheme if I ever saw one.

This location is excellent and Devin worked with me to try and resolve the problems we had. We did not get the truck we had reserved from this location. Even thought we had made our reservation for a 20' truck well in advance of the rental date. We received a call from the Denver Traffic Center 36 hours before we were scheduled to pick the truck (Wednesday evening for a Friday 9:00 AM pickup) up informing us that this truck was not available. The nearest one was in Longmont Colorado, a 1 1/2 hour round trip away. They offered us a 15' with trailer at the Cedar location. I initially elected to go for the truck in Longmont but by morning we had decided that the 15" could work since we were not needing to move everything from the home on this trip. Called back on Thursday morning to elect for the 15' truck and was informed that this was not available. Devin called around and tried to find us one and eventually after numerous calls we were able to locate one at a dealer location at 19th and Wadsworth in Lakewood. They did not have the pads and appliance dolly we had reserved but Devin was able to fill that part of the order from the W. Cedar location. This was the second time this summer that we rented from U-Haul that we got the call less than 48 hours before the move to be informed that the reserved equipment was not available. In the first instance they got us a larger truck than we needed so at least we were able to move what we had to move. This second move where we could not get the size we needed really created a problem but fortunately we were able to make adjustments to the plans. That being said, I think I am no different than most in that when I reserve a truck and get a confirmation from U-Haul I expect that U-Haul will complete their end of the agreement. If we had been in a situation where we absolutely needed the bigger truck and had a tight move out schedule like so many face this lack of equipment would have been a major hardship and potentially costly if we were in a situation of penalty for vacating a property. U-Haul needs to be much clearer up front that when a customer is reserving equipment that you are not guaranteeing that you will uphold your end of the agreement. Either that or you need to change your practices so that when there is a reservation, you make sure equipment gets moved to the location it is reserved from. For years I have rented from U-Haul and before this year had never had this experience. Did you change your corporate practices?

It went well, but I think we got charged for after having back @5. The gentleman said if it's 7 or so no problem just drop off and put keys in box. It's under McKenzie on Sunday September 29. We did get it back by about 7 pm.?? Thanks, it did go well though.

I reserved at one location and was informed by uhaul that this would be my location for pick up. This was very inconvenient for me. If I wanted this location I would have chosen it. I have used uhaul for yrs but this is the second time this location change has happened. I will use another company in the future.

This return wasn't was smooth as the pick up was. For me it was not clean what to do with the return. I know there is a sign but it wasn't explained to me when I picked up the van. I know that probably is my fault not to ask and seems silly to everyone else. Over all a good experience.

Staff is un-inviting, had storage unit I could gain access to when ever i want, they convinced me to change to smaller ubox, and failed to tell me i have to give 24 hr notice before getting access to my stuff. Staff is not welcoming or very friendly.

Your employee screwed a piece of our furniture to the Ubox by using entirely way too big of screws to fix something on the outside of the box. There was no consideration as to what was inside!

Roadside assistance needs much better communication with the mechanics and tow companies, very bad experience when the transmission in the truck went out. U-Haul fan in general but this experience with roadside assistance was a nightmare.
