Obviously trucks are old and dirty from wear and tear so there is no fixing that. Main problem I had was that the driver's door lock did not work with the key, so I had to climb over the passenger seat to unlock it whenever I came back to the truck.Vincent N.

Luis was excellent & very warm welcoming. Touch less process was a bit weird at the end asking for additional contact info with immediate reference before allowing vehicle out. We requested a credit due to the annoying whistling noise we had to listen too for a 1300 mile drive and were told no, only a report would be made or we would have to take it up with the Dallas location After driving all that distance, we were completely spent and felt like the buck was passed but oh well......Joseph W.
It took me over 45 minutes to sign for my storage unit and after driving from North Carolina and having made my reservation 4 days earlier they didn’t have my unit available. The solution was to give me another unit that was smaller and ended up not being able to fit all of my stuff. Once I finally got a unit which was now on the 7th. Floor vice the first I was promised the elevator was down for maintenance. It was a routine maintenance they decided to do in the middle of the day instead of waiting until hours when customers weren’t coming in and out needing it. I had to move meetings and extend time blocks because of all of the above mismanagement and even more frustrating couldn’t store all the stuff I had driven states down to put away for my military move. This location's manager/desk attendant leaves a lot to be desired. My visit was Friday at 8.30AM. I have visited this location multiple times and have witnessed her being rude to both customers and other Uhaul employees alike. She needs to be trained to be a more educated person, she has no manners. The first time I was there, I thought she was having a bad day, but after visiting this location a few times and running into her, I've realized she is just plain rude for no reason. The rest of the employees I've seen around her just deal with her and her attitude the best they can. Biron, the guy that helps us tie our trailer outside is really nice.Veronika O.

The checkout process is lengthy and glitchy the link sent for a selfie and copies of the ID is very slow and could be improved significantly. The staff was laughing and goofing around while there was a line. One staff member answered her cell phone for a personal call in front of a customer and was using profanity & used the N word twice in her conversation. Apparently the system was down so she was moving slow, as a result I didn't receive the keys for the truck until 20 min after the time I booked for. They didn't apologize or offer an extension. I did an online reservation. When I arrived at the place, there were no trucks even though I had the confirmation. So I had to call support (a very long wait on the phone!), and they sent me to a very far location so I had to spend money on another Uber. Then, in the new place, I returned the truck 15 minutes late (I got the truck late since I had to change location!), and they charged me $30 extra. The staff is extremely rude and aggressive! They look to start fights with people. I order online and they interrupted me kept meFrom getting my van on time with disorganization Refused to extend my time for THEIR 30 min delay, talk to you like you're trash. Bang on things screaming, and it was BOTH getting and returning. I do everything from phone to avoid them and stay in car doing process But the staff chooses to Engage comes to you with negativity & attitudes disrupting you from completing the process. Adding confusion. Why can't I just pick up and drop off in peace. If I asked for help, ok. But when I'm Closed up In my car trying to do app process & avoid dealing with staff why are multiple people at my car window Yelling and confusing me? They tried to take my assigned van for me had us moving in and out of it kept us from leaving and refused to accommodate the time difference. I was unable to complete my move from their 30 min delay in giving me Van and they added stress to my day unnecessarily. 4 people and no one treated me with respect or talked in calm Manner. No manager on duty on Sundays per Brian who said he would charge me a $50 lost reservation fee per my contract was due back at 430 per my contract I was to be given a van at 1230 Which the staff kept me From doing till 1pm. The truck had almost no fuel, I thought this was disrespectful .... how do I know how much gasoline I have to put in, to run and run and then? I had to deliver the truck with much more than half a tank and when I removed it, I removed it with qse in the reserve. This does not help anyone who is renting! very disappointed.Rubens A.

Lets start with the unit location (which no one explain to you how uncomfortable could it be), unit was over another unit and my couch (which is not huge at all) couldn't fit in the hallway (not on the storage unit that it was super difficult to get in), I tried to talk with a girl there super rude because she was on a call and she didn't have time for a customer. Elevator will start closing and making noises after the first 2 mnts (because everyone knows you go to a storage and pay 150 dlrs just to keep 2 box and go). The same rude girl from before when I ask her if I could change units because we didn't fit on the sh..t they gave me she told me they didn't have any (which it wasn't true and we had to go back to get another real answer and she didn't even know how to charge us correctly, but of course they did). We took double time doing this in the storage that what we spend from my apartment (in an 11 floor) to the elevator and then to the truck and all that time with everything in the elevator because there is only 1 elevator and we didn't have space to go or to put things. The service was impeccable. Seriously, this was unlike any other U-Haul location. The staff was super friendly and efficient. It took a little time to check-in due to customers' extra questioning; however, I really like both my check=in guy and my check-out guy. Solid service. The truck was kind of beat up on the exterior, but most everything was already marked/recorded, so that was the only negative. The interior had just been Armor All'd! I'll use this location again over others in the MIA area.James S.

I had a reservation - a month in advance- where i was supposed to rent a small storage for $70. When I arrived Today to the location, the customer rep. told me that the small storage I requested was not available anymore? How could that happen if I had my reservation way ahead of time? I was given in the end a bigger storage where i had to pay moreâ€¦. I found this treatment absolutely unfair. I demanded at least the same price, but it was denied. I then requested to speak with the manager, and the rep. told me that it was useless because not even the manager could pro-rate or decide to adjust the price for what I originally was intending to pay. What kind of service is this? Where the customer request a certain storage, reserves it in advance, and ends up paying for a bigger storage, simply because my reservation was violated? This is the the ultimate insult to any quality service you expect from a decent company. Also, as a surprise, I ended up paying for the lock? Not even the lock is included in the service. And not even the lock price was waived to me as a courtesy for what I suffered. I am very disappointed about Uhaul. This was my first time as a customer. And most probably will be my last. You should have at least some consideration for technical errors you commit from your end. This was not my fault, and I never received any compensation for this mistake. Horrible service.Gustavo H.

During the last week I have rented 3 times trucks from you. On all 3 times the trucks were given to me with less than 1/4 tank so the first thing I had to do is go get gas. I do not like this practice.RENE R.

First, the size demensions I confirmed were not what I got,, and the website does not explain about having to use a ladders steps to access your unit.. After this deception, the girl that changed my unit after looking at a few units. Was super Lazy, rude, and would not detach from her phone to give me instructions. I had to return 4 times. Once for the code, once to figure out I had to use it for both doors just to find out I needed a card to do this, plus, was never given a lock...the van I rented did not have a dolly so I had to go searching for one and get the ok to take it...this burned up about 2 hours of my rental time. As I was finally moving in there was a huge rat trap in my unit which makes me very nervious of having my belongings infested.. there was a strong scent of Marijuana on my floor and 2 unit with people bathing and sleeping in the units like a hotel. Water damage inside my storage unit along with a cockroaches infestation.... lost many valuable items due to the water damage and end up with cockroaches IN MY HOUSE!!! Horrible!! No A/C like advertised. As soon as I opened the storage unit, there were 2 big cockroaches to greet me. The floor was dirty and placing my couch there scratched the Italian leather on it, not to mention the roaches that enjoyed it. The most Disgusting thing ever. It’s a sauna in there. Overall I’m satisfied. I had to store my stuff for one week. I paid for a month however. There were two guys pretty much “living” in one of the units on the floor where I was assigned. I felt nervous initially as there was a guy using a step ladder blocking the way and was rude about letting me get by to my unit on the day I was moving my stuff in. I am now aware now that Miami is 85% Spanish. The storage in Miami wasn’t climate control. Climate control should be mandatory in all of Miami units. The staff knew only Spanish. They need interpretations or hire someone native that speak English. Jacksonville was okay. I had to call corporate to fully comprehend my reservations. 3 locations were not able to explain anything to me . There was a rat trap and a live cockroach in my unit. The rat trap I can live with. It indicates there are rats in the building, but at least you're doing something to deal with it. The live cockroach seemed like more of a problem. When I asked staff about this, one person didn't know what to do and the other person suggested I get a roach bomb. I don't have a car so I walked to the nearest CVS, but they had no cockroach killer materials. That facility is awful! Highly inconvenient and unsafe! I wouldn’t recommend that place to an enemy much less a friend. I gave them a “Below Average” because the workers are nice but they could never problem solve. The elevator is always broken, not just this year when they upgraded. What’s the point of a storage facility where you can’t get to your stuff? The last approximately 5 months I’ve had to walk up 5 flights of freight stairs and walk through dark hallways where often times I’m encountering vagrants. At one point a couple years ago the elevator was broken I asked that an employee escort me stairs because yet again the elevator was broken and they refused due to their own safety too. Is the worst facility that I have used, dirty, full of roaches, hot, elevator first was extremely slow and it has not work for the pass three month. I need it to get my belongings on the seventh floor I had to use the stairs and was not able to move because the elevator was not working Few months ago I put a claim for items that were stollen and when I asked to see the film to see what happened I was told there was no security film. I consider this to be a major problem due to the fact that if anything happens to anyone there is no security cameras according to the office. I lost over $2500. worth of items including my diving equipment, coats, cloth..... and have no way to prove it.margarita m. | Overall Experience

I have paid this storage for a year. Hired a moving truck and crew to put some more items and pick up some of what I had there and found that the elevator wasnt working. Couldnt get my furniture out plus, I couldnt put the new stuff in this storage. Wasted a lot of time of the movers who charge hourly and had go to a new storage. They had to come back yesterday to get the resf of what I have in the storage get it down by the stairs with several movers in order to put everything on the same storage. I have been calling, texting, leaving messages and havent been able to talk to Hector the manager. I left my number, email and no reply. I had a terrible experience with this facility. I got stuck in the elevator for 30 mins with half of my things. Finally we got out, but my things stayed at the elevator for 5 days, until they fix it. I had to leave the rest of my things in the moving truck and hire new people for the unloading when elevator was fixed. I reserved my storage on the 7th floor, without letting me know that was burned a year ago and you still can breath the smoke in the floor. I needed to use a face mask every time I visit the storage. The unit was full of roaches, when I move out of the unit, it was infected of dead roaches. The place is disgusting, hot (not air conditioning) and dangerous due to the smoke. They I only stayed 2 months, and never got any discount or consideration after all I went through. It was the worst storage experience I ever had. The storage closes at 7pm, but there are access through the outside stairs leading to the floors, where homeless people come to stay for the night. Very dangerous. I don´t recommend this location to anybody. It was a nightmare for me dealing with the elevator, that breaks all the time according to people going there.OLGA P. | Overall Experience
While I would recommend this facility for renting Uhaul trucks, I would not recommend it for storage. It appears to have a mouse problem and I worry that our mattress will be attacked by mice.
