The customer associate showed up 15 minutes after the store was supposed to be open. Our reservation was for 9am and the associate didn't arrive at the location until 9:15. Every other time I've rented from Uhaul they also come out and go over the vehicle with you. Maybe that has changed. The first van I was given had a service alert for tire pressure and only 1/4 tank of gas. It was also parked in a dangerous patch of ice. I realize there isn't much you can do about that, but the agent should have come and checked over the vehicle at least instead of potentially having a customer fall down by themselves on uhaul property. I went back in and the agent gave me a new van, still only had a 1/4 but by this point we had been at this site for over 40 minutes. The whole reason I made a reservation to pickup from the agent was to avoid these issues.ABBY S.

Worst experience ever not once but twice same week .first on Wednesday employees not doing job checking trucks in over charged $230 than refund money back to my account. Was told no discount will be given caused manger was gone for week. Second on Sunday I arrived at 8:46 am store was supposed open at 9:00 am 7 customers including my self stood in line for 1 hour before any employees showed up. Than was told call corporate again to file complaints be no one manger was there . So I paid 3 movers one hour to sit because employees came to work 1 hour late no one but both off them. I bring truck back at 4:45pm before 5pm closing employees take my keys and said I'm all good I will be checking in at email copy. Than they didn't check my truck in threw key in drop box I get charged $20 more dollars for late they said I have call corporate again to file a complaint. They have biggest store with worst manger . Manger should be fired for not be able to help customers. I will call better business and file a complaint as well as corporate office. And post very negative feedback on yelp and other site warning people about over charges they scam out people.HENRY T.

No one went over the truck with me to check it out and make sure everything is good. When I opened the truck dock door, there was a huge hole in the roof. Brought it bad to the location and they gave me a different truck. That truck had the engine light on and the window was left down so the cab was full of water from the nights rain. The website was not easy to access to pay my account in October 2021 on a Sunday after hours. November I paid for November, December they did not apply my payments correctly. The corporate office tried to call them on December 10 they failed to answer on a few attempts. This is unprofessional and these fees are excessive. The "check engine" light came on before we left the facility. I expressed concern but the young lady told me that someone had just changed the oil on that truck & that's why the light was on. She just cleared the code & told me she didn't have any more trucks. The truck was returned to a different location because it kept overheating & the engine kept jerking/stalling. When I needed to keep the U-Haul extra days and asked how much it would be I was quoted incorrect pricing and I was not told that another hold would be placed in my card. When I called to complain about this, an associate advised that she would call me back and never did. The only thing that was good was the fact that they were understanding that I needed the truck for a longer period. It should be mandatory to advise that you will be charging my card. I do not care what the contract says. They should tell people and advise how much.ROSE H.

The young lady working instructed me to go right to get the truck. wrong information I went back in she say no I said go right ahead of you I think I would have remembered that my opinion someone should have showed me to the truck . After I returned the truck I was charged for the dollie twice . The truck I rented would go even when I was pressing the break. The engine would go to 4000 rpm out of nowhere. Thank god I knew to put it in neutral when this happened or else I would have gotten hurt.ADAM A.
The trailer i had reserved never got returned. So the sales associate gave me a smaller option and not @ a discounted rate, She also tried to redirect me to remote locations for a trailer that may or may not be available when I got to either location to pick up the alternate trailer. They gave my movers the wrong boxes, empty boxes. They didn't pull my account correctly and saw my U-Boxes on file before loading them and even created a whole new account without my authorization, thinking it was a loading order instead of an unloading. I had these U-Boxes stored for 8 months there already, how did they get all this mixed up??? Storage was great, but setup for pickup and loading the right boxes was horribleMARIANO C.

The vehicle was not as clean as I would've expected. It appeared that the dashboard and top of dashboard had not been wiped down for quite some time. Also, there was an unpleasant odor in the cab of the truck, which might indicate the seats hadn't been wiped down as well as. The door on the trailer has something broken on it, making it very difficult to open and close. Did not know until we got home with it. ALSO. NOBODY explained to us that we would receive an additional $20 charge for dropping the trailer off after hours. We assumed that the quote we got for dropping it off at that time was accurate, but then our statement showed a $20 after hours service fee that nobody told us about. ARE YOU SERIOUS???!ANDREW B.

The beginning of the transaction it was great all until the end. When I arrived 2 gentleman were talking amongst each other. Didn't even ask my name has asked me to drop off the keys and they would take care of the rest. I responded by saying are you sure do you need my name do you need anything and he said no. I proceeded to leave but had a weird feeling. Suddenly I got an additional $32 charge. I tried calling several times no answer no response no call back. Have someone available at the desk. I had to look for someone to check me in. Your staff and Markham gave away my rental because I was an hour and 20 minutes late. I tried to call to let them know , but no one answered the phone. They never called me to confirm my reservation. This is how I ended up renting from Glenwood. You all need to fix your entire operation. My experience was horrible from the moment I ordered my uboxes. I would not recommend for anyone to use uhaul ever. Terrible customer service and even more terrible experience. I moved across country and my boxes arrived late. No communication to me that my boxes would not arrive on time but makes sense because they shipped out late and of course no one communicated that to me either. I had to call them to ask what was going on. They originally shipped one box I had in storage months early. No one cared that my stuff wasn't on time. Oh and also when I asked where my stuff was no one had an answer. â€œThey knewâ€ but couldn't share that with me. DO NOT USE THEM.Almon V.

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had a schedule pick up for 2 o'clock for a moving truck. I also wanted to establish a lease for a storage unit. What should have been a simple transaction was delayed by unprofessional and at times, in competent staff. When I first arrived, there were two patrons in front of me. When it was my turn, the 3 associates were talking and joking among themselves loudly. I had to redirect the gentleman who was cashing me out several times. They continued to be okay around and continue to use vulgar language. When the associate finally completed my order, I was shown to my unit. The associate instructed me to use the key card to access my unit. When I swiped my card, the associates name appeared on the screen. I informed the associate and he said he would fix it. We go back to the front desk and associate says he is working on it. He hands me the key card and we try again; access still denied and the associates name was still showing. At this point it is after 3 o'clock. My son was growing anxious so I left to get him something to eat. When I came back associates states issue was resolved. When I attempted to access key pad, a name "Sherise" appeared. I informed the associate that was not my name. At this point I was really upset and needed to leave to start moving. This whole experience delayed my move and was an extreme inconvenience! Lastly I never received a contract for my storage unit. I also was never informed of the hours and made a blank trip because I was denied access to my unit. Overall, one of the worst experiences ever!!!SELECE D. | First Impressions

I can never get in contact with corporate and I don't understand why they took the whole latch and lock off of my unit and charged me for it like they was stealing out of my unit.... The original reservation we made was deleted. No-one told us you needed to pick up the keys in 48 hours or it would be deleted when we made the reservation on-line. Then the very nice young man who helped us was working his first day at that store and could not find the reservation. Then we were forced to redo the entire reservation, and we were given a location at the back of the facility which is too far for us due to my being disabled, I asked for a unit at the front where we were able to find units which were empty and had no locks. The young man had no idea how to find and switch to those units. We came back and a different person told us the front section where we identified the open units was not officially opened yet, and he had no way to put us on a wait list for those units. He could not tell me when this section would open and I needed to call back every day until it did. Wow, This is inefficient and not customer focused. I called today to see if the section is open. So they had a line of people waiting over 30 mins while they were trying to get a password for the system.
