Super frustrating when reserving something online only to show up and they say that size truck isn't even available in the whole valley. Update the website so people know what to expect. It took me an extra day which put me in a pinch to do another load since the largest truck I had reserved and was expecting wasn't available. Moving is super stressful - don't make it worse by misleading someone ! The owner was very nice and extended my mileage and added a day so I could complete my move, but the time lost was invaluable in my current situation. 5 stars for the store but 0 stars for Uhaul -Challis G.
Perhaps explain what to do if something happens like an accident. I got a rock chip in windshield and it freaked me out knowing it was borrowed equipment. I did buy insuranceJoy S.

Every step of the process to rent a U-Box has been absolutely awful. Y'all screwed up literally everything. The initial drop off driver told me she would refund my initial $79 rental fee because the box was dropped off lateâ€"that never happened. Then you screwed up the delivery to New Orleans, multiple times and everyone we spoke to was incredibly rude. Now you're charging me more fees for no reason. I will never ever use U-Haul again and will let everyone I know know how awful of an experience that I've had. Thank you for the headache!Zachary J.

2 hours into our trip we had a tire blow out on the trailer. We waited 45 minutes to wait for someone to come replace the tire after being on the phone for 15 minutes trying to get a hold of road side assistance. When the service man came and replaced the one blow out, we asked him to check the other 3 tires. Another tire was flat and had a visible nail in it. He filled the tire and advised us to check it every so often. Instead, feeling uneasy to proceed since we had not yet picked up our load and had 5 more hours to drive, the very helpful RJ (uhaul assisted road service contact) asked us to go back 15 miles to a service station to replace the 2nd tire. We did and when he replaced it, we asked he Che k the other 2 tires. He found a 3rd tire had â€œweatheredâ€ and had a long crack around the tire which easily could have blown out at any time. So, 2 extra hours later, we had 3 of the 4 tires replaced. Someone at the uhaul place should have checked the tires before they rented it from us. We understand a blow out or flat could happen, but 3 damaged tires is inexcusable. I give â€œwell maintained a 0. But the road side assistance was a 5. Although it did take 15 or more minutes to get someone to answer the phone.Anita B.

Traffic moved my order to this location, which had MANY trucks waiting. I was told there was NO trucks available at that location. That was resolved w/ a phone call. This location was FURTHER away than what I had requested.ANTHONY M.
UHaul is trying to make too much money by understaffing their Boise locations! I had to add a 40 minute round trip back to the pickup location because it was actually FASTER than sitting on hold with customer support ... Also, a simple tour of the controls in the vehicle and report on the inspection would have saved so much time. There was a check engine light on, and I didn't understand the tow on label ... turned out they (at the location) had checked the code on the check engine light and it was innocuous ... I heard other customers waiting in line trying to get their questions answered faster by calling your support number and sitting on hold for 30 minutes or more!!! When I attempted to call the delivery location I got the same treatment - being transferred over to some nebulous support line. I'll try Penske or Budget before I'll use UHaul again!!!Mary L.

Local vendors are great. The Corporate office is the worst customer service I've ever had. We had to travel an additional 75 miles to get the vehicle and it was 11 feet longer than we needed. Corporate didn't care and just told me to take it or leave it. Again, the WORST customer service we have had in any business.Mark U.

My only problem was when we rented a truck to move out. When returning the truck we made the mistake of dropping the key in the night box before checking out on our phone, we called uhaul and the (nice) lady on the phone helped us as much as she could but yet we were charged $20.00 the next morning for not completing the process online.....and then I was told it is a way to get the customer "to help them" (uhaul).lee J. | Overall Experience

The masterlock for the rear door did not work. Had to go get one myself as it was loaded with valuables, would not compensate me for lock. I only drove 5 miles but they charged me for 3 gallons of gas. They did adjust it but I had to speak to managerMARTIN W.

The instructions made it seem like I was supposed to move in and then get my gate key. Only one gate is accessible and to leave the key pad is rather far away. I couldn't find the keypad before office was open and struggled to get out, even with customer service on chat mobile. I couldn't reach anyone by phone. A dispute about a lock put on a truck without a key was ensuing in the lobby, the manager basically told the lady that "my guy and what he says is reliable" so she needs to go look for the key, there is nothing they can do. ?customer service. I left my child's booster in the truck, unfortunately, called back a few days later, to inquire if it was turned in, sat on hold for 12 minutes, then was routed to central. The trailer that I was promised was not there. Had to settle for a smaller trailer or wait longer. Was told on the phone some tie downs were included, which was untrue. After my issues, the manager refused to make it right by including some tie downs for the day. The manager (Sean Burnett) was not helpful and would not even come out to speak with me until I requested a second time. Bad experience.Darren B.

When asked if the base price was the same in town or out of town, the answer was as long as you bring it back here it's the same. Thus indicating that the price of the truck was 1995 plus mileage. This is what all three members of my party were told. Yet when we got our bill it was $79 base price! That's $60 worth of a lie that I didn't have thanks a lot you all! Availability was very low. I tried to reserve a cargo trailer a month in advance and they couldn't let me know until 2 days prior of moving if I could actually get one. I never did get one. I only got 2 pods and they took too long to arrive at my new house. Perhaps you should consider shuttling some equipment back over to replace it. Especially if it's just one state away, like 10 hrs. or less.casey K.

We were told during the reservation process that the pick up location would provide us a military discount like all of the U-Haul trucks we have rented over the past 10 years. They would not. This is unacceptable. The interior of the truck was dirty and the cup holder was broken.Robert D.

While speaking to more then 3 people I kept getting different information on my Uboxs. First 2 did not know how to look up when my payment was coming out. The third person told me that I didn't have to pay for it till I went and picked it up. 2 days later I was charged a week earlier then the u-boxes were supposed to arrive which ended in overdrafting my account. When I called to see if they could revirse I was transferred 3 times. Where no one could help. By the end they transferred me to the first person I talked to.
