The truck got very poor gas mileage.. The odometer read about 7% fast, make me pay extra on the per mile rate. The check-in women would not credit me the extra gas I left above the check out level. The experience overall was terrible. First, the nationwide system was down so they couldn't rent trucks. I know that was not the fault of the local staff working that Sunday who were very pleasant, but awful for the customers. When I went back to rent on Monday (I changed from a two day rental to one day), I got the truck. However, none of the pictures on the app matched the truck I was given (even though the truck number was the same). All trucks were pointed to go out towards the return area, even though that was clogged with trucks. That meant a small navigable area to pull out a 26 foot truck. But what made me the most frustrated is I had purchased (pre-ordered) a truck with 36 blankets. But none were provided when I confirmed the number with the agent that checked out the vehicle to me. I realized that when I got home. I drove back and he shrugged and said he must have forgotten to mention I needed to pick them up on my way out. Overall, a huge waste of my time and energy, and outside of the nice people working there Sunday morning, a very unpleasant overall experience.Michael G.

They didn't seem to use much of the on-line checkin info. When I went to pick it up, they said I still needed to stand in line & check in at the counter, stating some of the same info on the online checkin. Was not as fast/quick as claimed. Also was told I had to return it before closing at 5pm, when I reserved it till 8pm online. Also was told I might not get a furniture dolly, even though I had included one in the online reservation, a week in advance. Luckily they still had one, as I would have been really mad if they didn't (it was a necessary requirement). If accepted on the reservation, I feel U-Haul is required to provide it as committed - It is NOT "as available", & would have had to cancel!Michael R.

This is the 2nd time I've rented a trailer from this UHAUL location and it was not clean. Last time I cleaned out the trailer before returning it, but not this time around. Also, it seemed unfortunate that I waited almost 30 minutes to get the trailer I rented; I arrived before my 6:30PM appointment and waited until almost 7:00.david G.

A representation called me Friday afternoon to confirm my drop off time for Saturday at 1 pm. I asked about extending my rental. The representative said I could extend for a few more hours, til 3 or 5 pm. If I need it longer, please call them before Saturday at 5 pm because there is a another customer that is requesting the rental for Sunday at 10 am. The next day, I tried calling to notify someone that I'd like to extend the rental but could through. A different representative called me at 1:55 pm to check my whereabouts. I asked to keep the rental til Sunday. The representative said another customer was arriving in 5 minutes to pick up the rental that I had. I explained the conversation I had with a different representative the day before but was told I'd be charged $100 for double booking on top of an extension fee. I said there is no way to return the rental in 5 minutes and I still need it til Sunday at the end of business day. I understand the extension fee, but I didn't double book, they did. On Sunday, I went to return the vehicle and spoke with someone regarding being charged $100 for double book fee. Michael, the Assistant Manager said it should be fine and gave me his business card in case I had any questions. Today, I checked my receipt and instead of being charged $100 for a double book fee, I was $100 for cleaning a cleaning fee. Ridiculous. If I could no stars I would. Never using Uhaul again.Briana M.

I scheduled a truck for a different location close to me. My reservation was changed to a different location, which cost me 1.39 per mile two ways.. I'm disappointed in this. The staff stated they were not able to assist, for me to call customer service after I had completed my move. The inside of the truck was dirty, the inside of the windshield was very dirty. This place is so bad on customer service. The Hispanic woman who helped me rent the moving truck was so unpleasant. It seemed like she hated her job. She has an AirPod in her ear the entire time. It was close to 7pm on a Thursday night and both employees that where there were in a hurry to close shop and get out of there. My first time renting a truck and they did not explain anything to me. When I got to the truck the tank was not full and when I went back to tell the employees they had already locked and close the office. I took a picture of the dashboard with the mileage and fuel tank level. When I returned the truck during business hours the next day, same 2 employees were there and no one was helpful. Finally a Michael J asked me if I was returning a truck, when I said yes he said â€œjust leave the keys in the truck and leave because I'm busy right now and it will take me 20 mins to get to your returning truckâ€ I explained how the fuel tank was not full when the truck was given to me and I returned it with the same amount of gas. I showed him the picture and he proceeded by taking a picture of my my phone with his personal cell and said â€œdon't worry I will make sure to put this in when I check in the truckâ€. Clearly he was lying because they charged me $38 for the tank not being full. I called the office spoke to a Ryan and all he could say was that a manager Steven would call me back in 24hrs. My concern and issue was not resolved. I will never rent a truck from this place again. Very disappointing experience especially when their motto is suppose to be â€œto provide a better and better product and service to more and more customers at a lower and lower costâ€LESLIE R.

The staff working there were not helpful at all. They didn't load the utility dolly or furniture pads onto the truck or tell us where they were. We had to ask and they just pointed in the direction of where they were. It was as if we were inconveniencing them. I had to sit in a parking lot and wait three hours to receive my U-Haul â€˜s. No one told me that my pick up location had been moved and we were on hold for three hours trying to get through to U-Haul customer service to figure out where my vehicles are at. When I was on the phone with the customer service representative she said, and â€œwe will not know your trucks have been moved until you get to the location and call to tell me your trucks are not thereâ€ If that statement is true, then your guys system is seriously flawed and I will never use U-Haul or recommend it to anyone I know because of how poor the service was. We wasted a whole entire morning when we had a time limit to be out of our house. Once we finally got our vehicles they change the drop off date on us and moved the dates to different locations. Like I said, we will never use U-Haul again and I am extremely dissatisfied with the service that I received from you guys.Brianna H.

This is the first time I have ever received a vehicle from this office that was dirty and did not have more than 3/4 of a tank of gas. This time the back of the truck had not been swept and there was not even a half a tank of gas. I was disappointed but always love the service and the people. The location is close to where we live. I am very upset. I was under the impression that my move-out date was the end of the month just like when you rent other spaces. I expected that the fee I just paid in advance for the next month would be prorated back in a credit...so that I would only have paid for 3 days of the month. It's totally WRONG for Uhaul to keep more than $100 for days that are unused. When I tried to talk to the staff about it they said it's just Uhaul policy not to rebate pre-paid fees. Security issue: Middle age female on side walk outside the main doors to storage, walked in through the open main entrance doors when others came and went. She was nervously looking around, so I continued to watch her from outside our rental truck. She lifted up one torche' lamp and started to walk away with it. She saw me watching and motioned, "oh, is this yours?". She put it down, came outside and said, "oh, I thought these were free." The storage unit i was assigned was in the very back of the building and a huge walk from the offload. I am disabled and before I even opened the locker, I went back into the store part, explained my situation and asked for.something close to the door. He gave me two smaller units that he said were close, but they were just as far. Half way down and then all the way over to the end of the building. Also I tried opening my locker and the alarm went off every time so I couldn't open it. I had no way to physically get my stuff in there. I Loved my overall experience with Uhal-storage, the only problem that I had is the lien fee which is put on your account and can't be reversed. Because the large storage is not covered under the move-in-special, I had to get two small units so I could use the move-in special. this means when my hours where cut I did not have to come up with one fee of $108. but two. I know that everyone as well as business are suffering during this time, but you asked so I thought I would share, and if you would like to bless me with a refund of the $216. I will receive it (smile). Again I love your hours of entry they are perfect and the cleanliness of your storages are amazing. Thank you and I would use your services again but my prayers are that I never have to experience homelessness ever again in life.... maybe the experience will be just to store a overflow of items.. My concern is pest invasion. My belongings were stored for three years and didn't have carpet beetles when first stored. Upon removing my belongings, carpet beetles were discovered in the unit. Also, there was some kind of construction that caused dirt (soil) to fall into the unit, which had to be cleaned off of some belongings. We emptied the unit the day before the next payment was due and asked the staff what we needed to do to check out. They claimed all we needed to do was leave the door open on the empty unit and our contract would be cancelled. We have not received multiple notices of past due amounts and threats to lien the unit, which is empty for failure to pay. Initially renting the unit took longer than it should have. I spent more than a half hour, when I was the only person there. I had no issues while my stuff was in storage. When I removed all of my items, I was moved out without my knowledge when I still had 10 days left of my paid rental. It is a little nice that I didn't have to return to move out, but I was not notified about it. So I still returned and was confused when my card didn't work. I got this move out survey about my "recent patronage" but no email, text, or voicemail about having been moved out. I was told they called, but I've never had a business not leave a voicemail when the phone isn't answered. The survey email didn't say it was about moving out, so I didn't know until I clicked the link for the survey. If I had wanted to use the last 10 days of my storage, that right was taken away from me without my consent, and it's unacceptable.Katie k. | Overall Experience
