Aaron who checked me in was initially pleasant and helpful. Her co-worker was, possibly supervisor. was a smart ass. Here' what happened... I was advised that the tank was at 1/5 full as indicated on my contract. When I went to check truck I noted that the tank was actually below 1/3. Actually more between 1/4 and 1/2. I took a picture of the gauage and walked back into the store so that the staff would not have to leave the counter area to check the gauge. I did not intend to fill the tank to 1/2 upon return. When I should it to Aaron and asked for her to adjust the fuel reading on the contract, she looked at her co-worker inquisitively. The co-worker than insisted that the reading in my picture indicated 1/2, perfectly. I am not blind, and I am not a cheat. The co-worker was rude, refused to change the contract and ordered me to bring it back at the level that I thought it!!! without changing the reading on the contract. There is not place for nasty attitudes in a customer service situation. I had nothing but a patient, cordial attitude when i arrived U-Haul Albemarle road. I will never do business at U-Haul again because of this experience, unless I receive a phone call from U-Haul advising that corrective action had been taken,Frank N.
I sat in the heat waiting for someone to check the vehicle back in for 30 minutes. I family walked in and they were like, "oh you could've just dropped the keys off and left". Poor communication and dismissive about it.Amber C.

I made a reservation, with no notice that the reservation I made may not be fulfilled. When I arrived at the location I received a smaller unit for more money per month. It feels as if I was baited and switched. I attempted to call the location to confirm they had that sized unit only to be routed to corporate who had no idea what they had other than what was online. With no way to call and confirm it is unfair to have customers reserve online and come into the store and be given units that are not what they reserved with no notice and for more money! Everything and the lady that helped me was awesome. However, when I got in the truck, which only had a little over 500 miles in it smelled so bad of Marijuana it gave me a headache and I had to drive with the windows down. Now, if for some reason I was pulled over the would have had to search the truck and I would be totally embarrassed. Plus pissed. Anyway thank god everything went smooth.Ivan H.

Out of the 5 dollies I needed, only 1 was available despite pre-reserving online. I was sent to anothe Uhaul and told I could return the one dolly ( still missing 3) that the other shop had to the original shop. Not true. There were also insufficient furniture pads. I chose the Uhaul location because it is one of the biggest yet they did not have everything nor was I contacted in advance. Why can't one Uhaul get the missing items from another store? Not sure I will use Uhaul again.Kecha L.

I rented a 15 foot truck which was almost brand new was in great shape clean no problems got to my destinations and I was supposed to get a free 5 x 5 x 8 storage bin when I got there they didn't have it U-Haul storage measures to ceiling height so you need to be careful about what size you need all other places just go width and length needless to say they didn't have any other places so I had to go somewhere else and rent. We had 2 storage units at the same time but at different companies. One at Uhaul and one at a competitor. The other one was better lit, more convenient and not set up to screw us into paying another month. The unit at uhaul was bigger and a little easier to physically access so that was nice.
