They were the only location open until 8pm Friday, which was very helpful. However, the local number provided from your "dispatch" service would not answer. I wanted to make sure they were indeed open as many things have changed since Covid. It's a 30 minute drive from Whitefish, so had they been closed, your customer would not be satisfied, to say the least. It would be handy to publish an active local number that I can get through to rather than having all calls forwarded to a call center where I have to wait on hold for inordinate amounts of time. The guys in Kalispell were very helpful once I did arrive.PAUL L.

Rate that was discussed when reserved (4 months earlier) was not honored at time of pickup. No help was given when picking up equipment. Equipment was horribly dirty. Wil never use againCOREY G.
Rates are a little higher than local spots and this was the only choice I had. Always an issue with my card not working or the box not taking my pin- I set off the alarm almost every time even when staff helped. Staff was friendly yes but almost always so un professional. Don't acknowledge the customer always sitting on the desks and having better conversations with each other than being timely helpful. Customer service was extremely poor, the gentleman at the counter served 7 people before getting my truck ready while the other 2 workers sat around, even though I had been waiting for my truck for over an hour. I paid 300 dollars and regret every single penny. Being renters I move atleast once a year and have always used uhaul but I will never again spend money at this business. Night and day difference from the pickup location. Large, clean, professional. Worker greeted us and was in the process of THROUGHLY cleaning several U-Haul trucks. He gave us directions where to park the truck and said he would email us a receipt shortly. He had a blower and was blowing out the cargo area, wiping down the seats and as we were leaving we could even see him washing the windows. I wish all locations were this together. Two days before my reservation uhaul phoned us to let us know there was no truck at our destination pickup. So we had to drive 70 miles to get the uhaul, then 70 back just to use it locally. Very inconvenient! When asked if we could leave it at our original pickup, instead of driving it back down, another 70 miles, we was rudely informed that it was his personal truck and no way!!!!!!!Robin M.

We did not get the right size truck even though I reserved one months in advance. We had to drive a massive 26ft truck across the country. We spent more money in gas and were never compensated. Than our ac went out and our charger port. Overall we spent 2000 plus 1000 in gas, I just don't believe that is fair given the circumstances.Madison K.

I had asked @ the time of rental for 6 pads, which they told me were already on the truck, in a secured bag (had a seal on the bag). I never broke the seal and didn't use the pads. I was charged for the pads anyway. When I asked for a refund for the pads, they refused. When I told them (Danielle @ Evergreen store) that I was not happy about that, I was told that she didn't care. Very poor and callous attitude.BERNARD K.

After waiting on day for my truck hitch they called and told me they did not have the part that they need. I asked them if they could go get. He asked his manager and he said no. So they used what they had. I had to get a Uber cause I was not from Kalispell so I did not have friends to pick me up. I drop the jeep off at 730 but the guy did not get there till 9am. The. I get the trailer I get up the next morning to find out it how a flat. I called them and they asked me if I called road side I said no that I was bring back to them. And then was asked if I could unload i told them no that I had hired someone to load it and since I had already paid some one the day before for hours that I did not have the truck are trailerDONICA J.

We were supposed to pick up the truck from 9th St in Columbia Falls when we arrived there we were told it was changed by Uhaul to Kalispell but no one ever told us that. When we dropped off the truck the location on the App for Uhaul wouldn't work so we couldn't check out online luckily someone stayed late at Uhaul and checked us out.Timothy K.

Had my hitch installed at your location. Wrong wiring kit installed, lights were messed up. After switching 2 trailers, and three wiring harnesses, had to have service person come out and spend 2 hours repairing wiring on my Jeep. Person said he would change ID number of trailer and I could go. 3 days later, and 1200 miles away, discovered it wasn't done, and there was no record of me pulling the correct trailer. I have since been assured they would fix the error and not charge me extra for keeping trailer 3 days. I'm still watching carefully my bank records.LAURENCE V.

My experience at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Evergreen; 1150 US Hwy 2 E; Kalispell, MT 59901; was awful. I had to constantly babysit them. The only person that could handle the U-Boxes only worked random days and times. I got a call once while my U-Box was stored there that concerned me; I went to the location to physically see my u-box's and found 1 labeled with someone else's name and was staged to ship. It seemed that they often did not know what they were doing. Also you could never call the location because the phones were always busy. I ended up with the cell phone number of 3 different employees and that was the only way to track them down.Donald R.

Everyone is so friendly there and made it easy to return the equipment and move into the storage unit. The one item I wouldn't mind would a security feature on the entry doors to prevent access to the unit doors without also authenticating at the exterior doors.William R.

The best thing you can do is either hire new people or train the ones you have. This was a very, very poor experience for us. We have dealt with U-Haul for a long time and never have such an experience. Together with the lack of care, unprofessionalism, and training of the staff, we wished we would have gone somewhere else. But, I had requested to speak with the Manager and Dominic and he was able to resolve some of the problems created by his employees. I was over-charged by more than $100.00; accused of not bring back the trailer; accused of not being nice and much more. I would not recommend using this U-haul to anyone until the staff issues are totally corrected.Danny A.

I have already paid over $5000.00 to U-Haul for trucks and storage. The whole situation has been my worst nightmare ever! The lady in charge gave poor customer service. She did not acknowledge customers arriving. Not even a nod. The line was growing and I asked if there was someone else who could help. There was another employee cleaning the floor and shelves. She said no he was not qualified. After another customer moved up she then called the other employee to help. I stepped up. I needed a unit for a month as I moved from another state. I was unable to move into my house on the scheduled day, two days behind schedule. So I couldn't get my belongings out of the unit on time. They charged me a late few and another months rent for being a little late, though no fault of my own. The move on process was very confusing and unclear. Not communicated to me at all, and then there was no lock in my unit once I opened it. I had to go back to the front desk and wait 5 minutes just to tell them that because they wouldn't answer when I called from the unit. I got my 5x5 for free. I rented it getting the 1st month free. I only needed it for a month? How does that work? I did reserve a pick-up for a Saturday to move my contents. The day before, I was told they didn't have one available. That's a fairly big over-site, one I hope this u-haul will work on to correct. The storage is good and secure. I have been renting storage since 2016, currently have one unit and added another. The only glitch was the display on the outdoor card reader was inoperable. You couldn't tell if the card had been read, and you were checked in or out. We set off the alarm twice because of that. First time that has ever happened. The store-front/office was crawling with customers when I arrived. Every employee I encountered over the phone and in person were accommodating in every way. They were knowledgeable, helpful and nice. When I was there in person, I noticed how well they prioritized customers. For example, one gentleman helped me and I'm fairly certain he is not assigned to work in the office. The way I saw it, he observed how many customers were at the front desk and came in from somewhere in back to help out. He wasn't as quick navigating the computer as the women who are in the office all the time. He was pleasant and patient and persistent but a regular office worker came along to take over before he could complete my reservation. The best thing was that he didn't get nervous or crabby; he just plugged along, giving a lot of effort, and kept a pleasant tone. I witnessed impressive teamwork and positive attitudes. I could tell the employees like each other, are happy working with each other, and are good at tag-teaming to get the job done; at least that's how they seemed in front of me, Both the hiring process and training program appear thorough and must be working as intended (either that OR an excellent labor pool exists at this location). The inside office offers every moving supply you can possibly need. The coolest, most helpful feature for me was the model unit(s) inside so a renter can experience the exact size of available units. Supplying customers with identification cards for authorized users is a nice addition for security; I have yet to experience how it works and the implementation. Importantly, the outside facility is well-designed to account for excellent water run-off. This is convenient location and egress is much safer now with the traffic light. The only improvement I can think of is the toll-free number. The menu options could be made a little more clear; I found myself frustrated with figuring out what number to select a few times.Mary G. | First Impressions
