I had a terrible experience with this rental. its been good in the past but this last one was terrible. pretty long list of things minor annoyances and also 2 major problems that are unacceptable. some of them were : 1. the radio would not sync to my phone even with a direct hard connection 2.that is one of the most uncomfortable trucks ive driven. it started hurting my neck after less than an hour . it jerks around with the trailer whether its empty or loaded its just much worse loaded. I asked for the Ford F-150 when I made my reservation but they gave me the chevy which leads to my next problem 3. worse fuel mileage than the f150. fuel economy and comfort are tow of the reasons l have rented from uhaul in the past , This chevy they gave me gets 12-14 mpg on the hwy without a load . thats ridiculous my 68 pickup gets 11-13 mpg on the highway without a load. the f-150 I requested to rent gets 15-17mpg with or without a load. so that cost me a lot of extra money having to pay for the additional fuel. 4. One of the big issues is that the truck was filthy when I got it . and with this Covid-19 virus spreading. cleanliness should be every business #1 priority. I had disefecting wipes with me and it took me 15 min of wiping down just the drivers area before stuff didn't feel sticky and I quit seeing brown and purple crap on the wipes. I almost turned around and went right back and cancled but that wasn't really an option as I was counting on getting a good running clean truck neither of which I ended up getting. 5. the Speedometer is off by at least 5mph but more like 8mph I got a ticket for going 82mph when I had my cruise set at 75mph I thought the officer was just being a jerk but two hours later I was pulled over and warned for going 80 when I had my cruise set at 72 mph I made multiple calls to uhaul with these problems and was consistently brushed off and ignored . they told me they did a speed test. I would need to see that in person before I would be satisfied but even at that it could of been brought to the dealer and recalibrated and now im being lied to. uhaul agents would claim to transfer my calls and would instead hang up on me. you offer ok service when everything goes ok but when a customer has a problem your true colors show.

We thought we set everything up correctly with dates but I didn’t get a phone call the day before so I called. It wasn’t set up for a pickup until Monday instead of Saturday. They fixed that. When it was picked up the employees were on a smoke break and knew someone was there but they couldn’t be bothered to be interrupted. There were two employees both smoking outside. They didn’t check to see that the online check was already done with the necessary information. The paperwork was incorrect with a total almost $100 too much. When we returned equipment the girl knew I was there but hid from us and waited a while to show herself and help then was not very pleasant. The entire thing was not positive and the only good thing was the trailer. Hope this helps.

I used the vehicle in Whitefish so a Whitefish location or a more Flathead Valley centralized location would have been more convenient for me. But the equipment was great and the service was great.

This whole text as you’re driving off the lot requesting the customer to inspect the vehicle/trailer before leaving is a shady scam that some day will end up in court with uhaul loosing miserably. I’ve rented twice recently with great service, but there’s always those employees that will cause the company huge issues

Donald and the rest of the crew at the Kalispell location were so kind and helpful, And tried to accommodate me in anyway that they could. I was promised that the equipment, a trailer, would be at one location which was convenient for me. But the day before the rental, I was contacted and asked if I would drive further to another location to pick it up. A bit out of my way, but not terribly. However, it concerns me that this was the second instance of this this year, involving two different locations and two different states. The other instance was considerably more costly for me, and U-Haul conveniently capped their liability, and I paid through the nose and lost valuable time just to get the equipment. To me, one instance of a broken promise is just part of life. Two instances so close together at different locations indicates to me that this practice very well--may--be policy, if not written then effectively, namely, make promises only to go back on them and inconvenience the customer and make him/her pay for it. I know contracts can be broken. But this kind of pattern speaks to the question: what is your word worth? For the record, the return of the trailer, at a closer location I had rented from previously, was without problem of any sort.

Had the worst experience ever, broke down 50 miles out of town and waited 6 hrs to get a new trailer and yall wanted me to drive to get another, but a nice lady named Ashly from break down made sure i didnt have too, the truck began to make a funny noise and my car had some type of oil residue all over it and i wasnt happy. When a person is traveling that far and what yall charge the equipment should be in great shape. I will never use your service again and will warn others not to also

I had a reservation for a 26 ft truck at 10am. Long line of people waiting over 1/2 hr. to be helped when I arrived. Only 1 person behind counter...on a Saturday morning?? I had people waiting on me to help with my move. When I returned truck, lady was on her lunch break with no one covering inside office for her. You need to hire more help!!
