When I first rented the truck my experience was very good. When I brought the truck back I got charged with not filling the truck up (I did and I had the receipt) I got charged 25$ cleaning fee because I didn't fold a couple blankets (I believe 4). After talking with the manager my money was refunded. I was very appreciative to the manager for making it a good experience.Jesse H.

I said no on equipment because i discovered that two of the tires were very low inflation. One was visibly low at 12psi. The other on the same side was low at 24 psi. The other side both were slighlyow. Had to find a place to inflate and psi required was not clear. Said to inflate to sidwall rating which only said max psi 65 which i did not do.Keith H.

The truck was very dirty inside and out. Snow is no reason to not clean your trucks. Also, it showed a "service needed" message when I picked it up. I was told that I (myself!) could take it to any mechanic to have that fixed!! Hahahahaa! So they begrudgingly upgraded me to the next size up (which I didn't need) , at "no addition" cost- aside from the extra fuel cost of a larger truck. I would not recommend this location. Also, when looking for a moving truck, I would highly recommend looking for one with a reverse cam and at least power for locks.SUSAN C.

I had a 1500 mile trip. The trailer I rented had not been cleaned, still had used furniture blankets piled in it and was caked with ice and snow, making it impossible to do a damage assessment. A capped tire on the driver side of the trailer lost its cap in southern Utah. Fortunately, U-Haul roadside assistance was very responsive. Clearly, the Kalispell store dropped the ball on cleaning and inspecting this trailer.TRACY A.

When I first arrived, a rep was standing in the drop location having a personal conversation to which she was rude and obnoxious to the person on the call. And though I indicated that I was there, she ignored me. Another rep came out to help us drop the car to which he said everything was in order and asked if I would like a final invoice printed or emailed. I told him email would be fine. The day after, I saw a charge for an additional $76 and still didn't have an invoice as to why. When I called, they tried to tell me I was nearly 200 miles over my trip mileage. I didn't know how that could be possible as I drove directly to my destination, unloaded and dropped the truck and car trailer. When I called to ask about this charge, they said they sent the invoice to the wrong email, I verified my email and to date have still received no final invoice, just an email stating that they would not refund the $76 charge that they claim is over-mileage. These guys are crooks and thieves. Causing me an overdraft charge that could have been avoided had they told me up front of the over mileage (that couldn't have possibly happened). I have attempted to escalate this matter with no success. I feel that UHAUL is as dirty as the undercarriage of their trucks. I will not ever use them again as Enterprise and others have the same options at competitive prices. It's really sad when I have trusted UHAUL for years to provide excellent services that this one incident has changed my mind entirely. I am an Audio Engineer and have to move equipment constantly and have utilized UHAUL many times to get this done. Now, I'm going elsewhere.JACK K.

The ladies behind the desk told us our truck was on the black mat. We were in a blizzard and couldn't see anything but white. After going outside and getting Into 2 different trucks, we go back in. They repeat the same thing and point. Still don't offer to show us. We walk outside and the only truck left was 1/4 mile away so we had to walk to find it with no road to see how to leave. Then after we left I realized I couldn't find my keys, I called to ask the workers if they saw keys, they said no. That they were just outside but didn't see any. Didn't offer to go look. I did not approve nor do I agree with charging a surprise $1.00 "Environmental Fee". This is NOT my responsibility. U-HAUL should be responsible for their own PC fees. Also, it is not possible to measure the amount of fuel to add to return it to the level at which the truck was received. The final receipt indicates it was returned with 1/8 of a tank more. I chose U-Haul primarily for the safety and security features. When I was moving out of my first apartment, I was moving a lot of stuff at night after dark and as a single female, I felt nervous using a storage facility that was not lit, visible from a main road, or had unit security. At U-Haul, I definitely paid more than other places, but I always felt safe. My only qualm with U-Haul was the recent rent increase this year (which I totally understand in this valley but I am an educator! I don't make a lot of money!) especially since there had not been any tent increases in the past 2 or 3 years that I had been renting. otherwise, would definitely rent again and recommend to friends.Barbara O. | Overall Experience

I had to return after 4miles as the low tire pressure light came on. They released some air from the front tire and all was good. As we got to the Canada/US Border which was about 65 miles from pickup I shut the engine down at the crossing and when I started it the radio would not turn on. The storage is good and secure. I have been renting storage since 2016, currently have one unit and added another. The only glitch was the display on the outdoor card reader was inoperable. You couldn't tell if the card had been read, and you were checked in or out. We set off the alarm twice because of that. First time that has ever happened. The store-front/office was crawling with customers when I arrived. Every employee I encountered over the phone and in person were accommodating in every way. They were knowledgeable, helpful and nice. When I was there in person, I noticed how well they prioritized customers. For example, one gentleman helped me and I'm fairly certain he is not assigned to work in the office. The way I saw it, he observed how many customers were at the front desk and came in from somewhere in back to help out. He wasn't as quick navigating the computer as the women who are in the office all the time. He was pleasant and patient and persistent but a regular office worker came along to take over before he could complete my reservation. The best thing was that he didn't get nervous or crabby; he just plugged along, giving a lot of effort, and kept a pleasant tone. I witnessed impressive teamwork and positive attitudes. I could tell the employees like each other, are happy working with each other, and are good at tag-teaming to get the job done; at least that's how they seemed in front of me, Both the hiring process and training program appear thorough and must be working as intended (either that OR an excellent labor pool exists at this location). The inside office offers every moving supply you can possibly need. The coolest, most helpful feature for me was the model unit(s) inside so a renter can experience the exact size of available units. Supplying customers with identification cards for authorized users is a nice addition for security; I have yet to experience how it works and the implementation. Importantly, the outside facility is well-designed to account for excellent water run-off. This is convenient location and egress is much safer now with the traffic light. The only improvement I can think of is the toll-free number. The menu options could be made a little more clear; I found myself frustrated with figuring out what number to select a few times.Mary G. | First Impressions
