Actually include the things I pay for. I paid for furniture pads and a furniture cart, none of it was in the van as stated in the agreement, where I was told it would be preloaded, so, thanks for taking money and not fulfilling the full service as agreed uponEric P.
I have been in retail industry for over 50 years. So as a management person. I remember a tried and true direction. More than 2 customers, open another register to assist the delays. Well last night, 5:30 pm was at my local U-Haul location. I was the second customer in line , due to only 1 associate. I had to wait. In the second line, a manager was doing some inventory accounting, procedures and didn't consider opening up another checkout station. She noticed me, but did nothing so I waited another 10 minutes before the 1st. Customer was complete. Now, I know why the manager did not want to address a backup in customers. She wanted to leave by 6:00 pm. After I picked up the truck and took it over to be checked out. I saw the manager talking to another associate in the pass thru section of the building for some time.. If in doubt check the video. Customer service is a priority, you can have everything else correct but to leave a bad taste in my mind about the extra time delay is just not right. We rented a UBox, packed it up and took it back to the location to store. That was the easy part. Retrieving it took four different reservations, because each time we went there, the staff did not have the Box ready nor had they been contacted by the corporate number, or the corporate number had sent them wrong instructions. It is impossible to call and talk to the location directly. When we did pick it up, it took a good 45 minutes to complete the process because the staff didn't know how to do it. More training, more staff (right, doesn't everyone need more staff right now!), and the ability to talk to the location directly would all help! It's a good idea in theory...JOEL S.

The U-Haul mobile application has good intentions, but the execution is sub-par. When using the application uploading photos, submitting information was extremely unreliable. When returning the vehicle taking a photo of the odometer and fuel gauge never worked, it seemed like the application was trying to analyze the photograph for the number of miles and fuel gauge position, when the photo was not blurry and the correct instrument panels were included. The employee upon check out told me to park and never explained that they would be back to help, I went inside and waited 20+ mins in line to be told to go back outside. The communication was overall unclear and the employees did not seem to have any sense of urgency or concern for the length of the lines.PATRICK D.

The van was PERFECT! Super clean and not a gas guzzler. We drove about 270 miles total and the Gage moved 1/4 tank. Impressed. The return of the vehicle after hours was simple and to the point. The employees that handled my account was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful!!VANESSA E.

If I am dialing the local number on the website I would think I'm talking to my local dealer. I setup an appointment for installation, receive a confirmation email, but when I arranged my schedule to show up for the appointment there isn't an installer working at that time. That's when I was informed that you talk to a corporate office and not the local store. There is something wrong with this business model. I even called the day before my appointment to make sure the hitch was in stock. Apparently my time is worth nothing. If you have any questions feel free to call me at 440-897-9479. As soon as I walked into the store an employee was storming out swearing and screaming at another employee about how the other employee causes poor reviews for their store. After the employee that was being screamed at finished working with one of the three customers in line, she went into the back and made a phone call which lasted approximately five minutes about her irate coworker. This employee continued to converse via text, while working with the second person in line as well as myself, the third person in line. Your store further proves that there is no longer customer service in this country.Matthew H.

Fighting an after hours charge that was added to my credit card 3 days after the rental was returned. I had the trailer from 12:30pm returned at 4:30pm. Was the truck clean yes but the major problem was the truck was completely on E and I took multiple pictures in the parking lot I even got out of the truck and asked for help and I was told by two workers to click on the link that was sent to my phone and send the pictures in and to report the truck being on E so I sat in the parking lot of U-Haul and click on what link that I did have on my phone and hear the link that I clicked on was just a link that was sent in the very beginning that had nothing to do or any area to send pictures or complain U-Haul did not send the link that was supposed to be sent to my phone The videos can be reviewed at that U-Haul site I arrive there in the store at 1:38 PM and I was in a hurry for where I had to go and bring the truck and trailer back in time while The U-Haul store was still open and I didn't make it back in time however when I spoke with the kind woman that was there when I returned but she was not the lady that was there earlier when I first came there she tried her best to help resolve this issue she physically saw my phone and the text messages from U-Haul and physically saw that I had never received them or it And Had I received the link I would have been able to send the photos showing the truck Ani so the best solution for tonight I was given a card to call in the morning to see how we can resolve this issue The vehicle a.k.a. truck was very clean but part of the problem is one of the workers couldn't help me too much because it was only her fourth day they're working and the other part of the problem was when I was asking for help and I got out of the truck trying to get them to come to the truck and physically see that it is an E they wouldn'tJESSICA M.

Upon arrival it was pouring and the truck was not in the correct spot. We went inside and was screaming while walking around the building looking for someone. We went all the way into the back offices and still no one was around to help. After 30 min and even attempting to call the land lines a woman came out and said can I help you? I told her YES ive been waiting and up here yelling? I showed her the app and she handed me a key and walked away. We go outside and the truck does NOT match the one on our login. We take the truck with the key and it sounded HORRIBLE when it started up but guess what... COULDNT find anyone again. Tried to message the help desk. and proceeded to leave since we were already an hour behind and late due to this issues. While driving the truck alignment was off and had a hard time steering. Upon return same lady was there and told her about the alignment and she just said ok, you're all set. The customer service at this location used to be great and we have rented many times a year for business. Im not sure what is happening but this is NOT how I would want someone managing my business while I am not around....Jessica R.
I use Uhaul about every other week. I run a nonprofit and use it all the time. This is the first time I have had problems with my return. Normally I work during business hours but this time everything ran late. They gave me information about checking in after hours. But I couldn't get into my online account. And was charged $20 I could have kept the truck for 24 hours and kept you from using it. But instead I returned it after my two hours. And in return you charged me $20 extraELAINA H.

I would recommend the Elyria location. HOWEVER, your 24/7 mobile pickup, that I was supposed to use for pickup at your north ridgeville location, is absolutely infuriating. I did the verification with my driver's license earlier in the day, which it asked me to do again. I ended up redoing this 3 times getting kicked out of the chat to the agent multiple times. Response time was horrible for assistance and in the end, after over an hour and a half, was unsuccessful picking up my van. This was even after talking with a real person over the phone. I was told I couldn't pick up the van because one of my two contacts didn't answer. ONLY ONE WAS CALLED according to phone logs. This experience was the most inconvenient and infuriating experience I have had with any service. The alternate Elyria pickup location was almost a half hour from my original pickup location in North ridgeville. Your service needlessly wasted 2.5-3hrs to pick up something 8mins from the original location and was unacceptable.Jonathan G.
The first drop off location given was at 501 Abbe Rd in Elyria. The representative there was horrible, they didn't want to take the truck with equipment. I didn't feel comfortable dropping it off anywhere else since that was the drop off location given. He left the keys on the back bumper and said it was responsibility to take it to a different location. I didn't know where to go my husband was angry, I was crying I felt very uncomfortable not knowing the right thing to do. So while I rate the second drop off location good, it doesn't give me the opportunity to rate the first locations horrible customer service.robert R.

The low availability of storage and the lack of workers at the counters makes the whole process slow...not to meantion the incident with storage units where the size of the storage units wasnt properly explained to my mother whom accidentally got a unit too small becasue she thought a 5 x 10 until was 10ft long and not tall...this caused us to bring back the truck late and i still got charged for it. I reserved my storage unit online only to find out that the size I reserved was not actually available. I then had to get 2 storage units instead of one and the price was double what I was originally quoted. I was assured by the manager that she would get the price adjusted. I waited for 2 months and my calls were ignored by the manager. At one point I was denied access due to late payment aft we r being instructed not to pay until the price was corrected. In the end I was still charges over 100 dollars more than I was originally quoted. I would recommend never using Uhaul storage.Anthony V. | Overall Experience
