Customer service was poor, One attendant at the counter, to service customers. Arrived at 3:30 and did not get through the line for an hour at 4:30. I booked the truck for one way service and was told when I arrived the didnt have that service available, He never said anything about the mileage reimbursement, or offered to take some off since this is what I did not reserve. After completing my reservation, I then waited another 30 minutes for him retrieve the truck, I asked one attendant outside what was taking so long. He told me because the guy is a fat guy it takes time. Then he blamed it on the other guy and said he was lazy. The truck shook and jerked the whole time driving it as if it was going to shut off at any minute.

Fist off hired new people that want to work with great customer service skills. I made my reservation for a different location I received a call changing my pickup to the Hamilton Ave location. The lady the check me in was very rude to the customer before me as well as myself, after the CSR open my contract I set 49 mins in the parking lot waiting to get my trailer connected to my vehicle I did see her standing outside right by the side door smoking I ask her was anyone coming to connect my trailer. She nodded her head to indicate sign language to me yes, but no one came so after 5-7 minutes she came to hook up the trailer then one of the guys finally came to help her. Can we talk about my drop off experience was just as bad if not worse I pull onto the lot at 7:06 pm was told that they are close even though there are three employees there all the Lights were on Doors were opened unlocked with 3 or 4 trucks with flashers on being wiped down by employees the young lady who waited on me was the same young lady who was outthrown away back to trash when I tried to get our attention I was ignored so finally the guy after he told me for about 4 minutes standing there telling that the store was that they were closed. Didn't he direct my attention to the check out app on the phone I had to ask him to take the trail off hes explaining to me that they're close for about 4 minutes before he decides to take the trailer offI will never go back to that location I will never recommend anyone to that location also I was told that I wanted to drop my trailer off at the Parsons location that that would not be a problem since they had changed my reservation location and pick up drop off she told me that I could not do it then she told me that I could do it as with a fee that I would be charged I asked her why would I be charged I'm the one who's been in convenience and all I wanted to do was drop the trailer off to a closer location to meOnce again the customer service at that location is very poor I would never go back to that location I would never recommend that location ever again and if I had to use a service and that was the only place I would not I would go to penske or find some other means of doing what I need to get done. It's so sad too because I went to George's ville location and I had a wireless put on my car I had the best experience to young lady that waited on me she was very nice customer service oriented voriented vernaldo's triple I even was able to ask the Tech guy who was working on my car some questions she told me it would be no problem to communicate with them once you was done or the ask for further instructions

The staff were all awesome! Friendly and very easy to work with! Very clean location with all the moving supplies you could ever need available! The truck was 'full when I picked it up, but was no where near actual full. I put 9 gallons in it 1.2 miles down the street to return it full after using only 47 miles. The gauge was well above full when I returned the truck. I stopped pumping at 9 gallons because I knew something was off when it took that much fuel for such short usage. The other issue was the dolly and blanket set in the truck I didn't want either but they come standard and take up a good bit of space in the box. Removing them would have meant paying for their use (which really should be included in the base rental - they're already in the truck...). Other than those two things, the experience was great!!

Any truck rented for a long haul one way trip should have cruise control. There needs to be a note on the web site that states the only trucks with cruise are the 26 footers.

App experience is terrible. Went to check truck in after hours and it wouldn't upload pictures of the odometer and fuel gauge. Tried signing out and back in as well as uninstalling and installing app again. Called support and was transferred four times and no one helped in the slightest. Luckily I tried using the check in feature in the chrome browser on my phone and it allowed an upload. I highly recommend getting these bugs worked as well as getting better support. I will not be using uhaul again after this experience because it wasnt the first experience I have had like this. Location was great, but uhaul's experience was worse than bad.

My uhaul rental was originally $70 dollars for one day and 40 miles. I returned it the next day after store hours and tried to check in. I was unable to find the code they told me to scan so I called customer service so that they could confirm my return. I was on hold for over 45 minutes so I decided to use the option for a call back. They called me back at 1am and of course I was asleep so they charged me for two whole days even though I returned the truck at 9pm the day before. So what was a $70 rental turned into a $184 rental. The representative told me there were all these administrative fees added that were never spoke of until then. NEVER renting from U-haul again!!!!

Make sure the rental truck is on Full. To give me a 26' foot truck with a 1/4 tank of gas was poor service to me. Now I have to stop and get gas to make the move and stop again and guess how much gas to put in to return it at 1/4 tank.

Please refund our credit card for the 9/25 charge. Unit was empty on 9/24 and I stood in line to close my account. Was told by your staff if the lock was gone and unit empty our acct was closed. I asked several times if there wasn't something else I needed to do. He said no.

First, the truck was beat up on all sides. The cleanliness when we received it was average at best. The truck ran rough. When we returned the truck it was Sunday after closing and there was no place in the return lanes to park it. Lastly I was charged extra above estimated with no explaination or as to why. I went a few miles over the 35 I estimated but not 52.00 dollars worth.

Improve the communication between origination and destination teams. Hayward location had no idea of the plan and timing set up by Columbus location. Billing is extremely confusing. None of the itemizations add up properly. All charges need to be consolidated onto a single bill, not on 3 separate orders.

The move did not go smoothly partly because of challenges with truck being "reassigned" to a different location, requiring a 20+ minute drive just to pick it up. Then had to wait over 45 minutes to be taken care of (even though we signed up for 24/7 check-in). Then the return was a challenge in that the app didn't work (I finally went to the website and was able to check the truck back in). Overall, U-Haul did NOT do a satisfactory job on the move! Disappointing.

The biggest challenge I had with this whole moving experience was the automated phone system. I find it completely unreasonable that when I direct dial a local location after 4 rings it puts me into the nationwide support cue most often connecting me with someone who can't help me in any way because my question or business relates directly to the location. Please fix the automated call system to provide an option to remain in cue for the next available representative AT THE STORE. Having spent several HOURS in cue to talk to people who were incapable of fulfilling my needs as related to my rental experience, I can say with complete objectivity that your automated call system sucks. I have rented from you many times in the past without a hitch (pardon the pun) but this time everything went wrong on so many levels that I was terribly disappointed. It was clear that your call centers were overwhelmed. I will be using your trailers to unload my storage when I get the keys to my next house, please fix the local branch calling options if you can't get enough qualified people to answer phones. The added pressure of starting a day late with a truck that I couldn't pick up because the pickup location was closed for the next several days after I was unable to pick it up on time due to payment issues and having to juggle funds. Getting less than helpful 'help' from your call centers wasted your money, my time and frustrated me completely. Had this been my first experience using U-Haul to move my property, I would certainly never again willingly risk subjecting myself to the anxiety and stress that I went through this week. Only that I have had many satisfactory or better experiences with your company will I spend my money with you again. Sincerely, Kurt Chapman

I really liked having large carts on site to help move in with. There is no light in my unit and I find this very inconvenient. Hopefully there is an outlet nearby so I can bring an extension cord and light in. It was very clean and the floors were nice and smooth for rolling carts. I wish there were more access doors since I'm at the very end of a hall, but it works. If there had been others unloading or loading at the same time, this would have been a big issue. The access scanner Is way too short when you're in the truck, so you're forced to get out to scan in and out. The biggest complaint I have is the lack of 24/7 access. The gate locks at 10pm. I'm not sure what would happen if I was still inside, but it forced me to rent an extra day of my truck just to finish unloading. If the office closes at 7, what's the point of having a lock time of the gate? I raced back just to get there in time, but I would've only had 20 min. Maybe if check-in hadn't taken 45 min (even though I did check-in mobile the day before), I would've had time. For fear of getting locked in, I had no choice but to pay for another day...that included all the extras I didn't even need since I was just staying a few miles from the location. The units are nice, nice lock provided, I just hope there's a plug somewhere in the hall or I'm a bit screwed. I'd recommend the units.

Not sure how often the inside of storage unit is sprayed due to people bringing in bugs but I did see one roach in the storage unit and I don't have bugs. Other than that everything was wonderful. Had my storage there for a year and no problems.

Not certain why it is so, however access to the actual unit is horrible... trying to maneuver a truck next to and between parked trucks and equipment is very inconvenient! Not to mention that there was only an option to back up back past those parked trucks to be able to exit!! Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!
