Please get up and great customers, even if you are busy or talking to your colleague. Inform them returns can be expedited, instead of making them wait in line. Clean vehicles, front and back: I had to install a tarp to cover the dirt, before putting items in the vehicle. I rented the truck for 24 hours. I picked it up around 9am and returned it at 3:45 pm the same day, however the workers would not process the return. I called and came up there several times to inform them that I have not received my confirmation that the truck had been returned and I continued to get lies about it has been checked it, even though I can clearly see the truck is no longer on the lot and not showing checked back in on my email. I called Customer Service several times and each time they lied and act like they notated the account which I found out later they did not. I turned in the truck early under miles and with plenty of fuel but without it being processed at the time of drop off it will not show correctly and I will fight any and all extra charges made to my account. This is the worse group of ghetto people representing Uhaul I have ever worked with and I won't recommend the 5806 N 56th Street location to anyone. This use to be one of the best locations to rent from in Temple Terrace but not anymore. I would caution everyone to STAY AWAY!SHARISE E.
When I arrived at the rental location, I was informed there was an "email alert" on my record and I had to call a toll-free number to resolve whatever issue there was (they didn't tell me what it was). This took an additional 15 minutes. I wonder why that didn't crop up when I reserved online the day before. There was what appeared to be axle grease on the driver's seat, which got on the back of my shirt and subsequently, on my car set and a leather chair at home. When I returned the vehicle, I followed the instructions on the sign to remain in the vehicle for an attendant to arrive. After five minutes I went inside and was told to leave the keys in the vehicle and they would send my receipt via email. There was absolutely no customer-service attitude among the employees.Roland B.

Well, I requested furniture pads but that wasn't presented to me. I also didn't have access to furniture dolly which was supposed to be on the truck. Also I checked in online yet had to wait 40 minutes after reservation time to get the truck.Denley J.
Long wait time even with reservation. Gloves said $1.95 they rung up $2.95 I said I wanted a refund and don't want the gloves. She said the wrong price was on the container. I said its a whole stack. She kept going on about it being in the wrong place and then she finally called manager over for refund. It was annoying because she acted like I did something wrong.Sherri S.

First off you could let the manager know that lying to customers will not make them want to continue business with U-Haul. Second... I'm left owing a bill that I never signed for so I would let them know that falsely accusing someone or that false documents are not going to hold up in court. Last but not least.... Putting complaints on record on a customers file just so they can't rent is not customer satisfaction guaranteed it is a non satisfied customer that will not return to U-Haul even tho they've always paid their bill.SHAWN R.

Rented a 2 wheel car dolly from Lakeland store, paid to have the car loaded. Got to home approximately 5 miles from location, 1 tire strap was off. Was told to put car in neutral so had to leave ignition on. At Portsmouth end was advised car did NOT have to be in neutral so battery drain was unnecessary.charles W.

The Uhaul leaked and ruined some of our furniture. The Uhaul center gave me a Uhaul parked next to a guardrail on the inside of 2 other trucks that would have been easier to back out. I took me about 30 minutes just to get out. The truck had an exhaust leak and terrible brakes.Parker L.

The equipment was very well maintained and clean (trailer, so that is saying a lot). The location was incredible compared to other local Uhaul facilities which are abysmal. The staff however were... zombies. They seemed dead inside. Didn't respond much to "How's your day going?" or any other nicety I could offer. I try to be one that is able to interact with anyone and everyone. These employees, however, are miserable working there or something. It was like their store puppy died or something.Meade L.

I understand mishaps, but the cab literally smelled like a blunt, and if I had been pulled over for whatever reason- the officer would definitely suspect me using marijuana in the truck. The original rental wasn't ready, and 2 more trucks and 30 mins later I get into one that wasn't acceptable, but I was relying on uhaul's services so that I could serve my clients, so I needed to take what I could get at the time.Christopher L.

I reserved on line did on line ck in had everything ready to go got there spent 1 hour inside trying to pick up then was told my bill was over 80 then price then changed to over 60 then finally down to the price it was supposed to be and then the trailer leaked in the rain getting my things wetChristopher I.

I was told to verify the condition of the van before I left, but not told I'd get a text to do so. I visually inspected the van and took photos of what I thought might be problems. By the time I saw the text the link had expired. I would suggest the clerks inform people of the text form. I had no issues afterward, but can see how there possibly could be. What can you do to improve--you can have more than two people on staff! One inside and one outside is grossly understaffed. I had a reservation. I checked in online submitting photos of driver's license etc and it still took over 45 min to pick up a trailer. The inside employee was so excited that she didn't have to run through all of the questions and scan my driver's license etc. which tells me she is way over worked. She was manning all three check in counters at the same time. When I got outside it got worse. I had to look on both sides of the building for the guy who was supposed to be getting trucks and trailers . He was no were to be found. I then whistled as loud as I could, New York style. Then he jumps out of his car where he was smoking a blunt and chillin'. Also the trailer was missing one of the safety pins to keep the gate up. When I came back to drop off the trailer 45 min later. I had to unload the trailer and drop it in a spot myself because the outside guy decided he needed to leave an hour and a half early. The girl inside came out as I was dropping the trailer off and said I needed to have the guy check it in to which I replied. "Dude left! His car is gone and he's no where to be found. It's about to rain. Do you want to check me in. She said just go!" Overall, I'd never recommend this location to anyone.Jared D.

Reserved trailer was not available. Substituted a trailer that was not eligible for one way rental. Took a much smaller trailer, and the attendant asked me if I wanted to buy extra milesâ€¦for a trailer, in a one way rental. Individual was replaced by a more competent person who got me out the door. Overall, 45 minutes to get a trailer that I had reserved in advance and prefilled out all info on the app is a joke.Harry C.

Terrible and incompetent staff at this location ruined my otherwise pleasant UHaul experience. The person who checked me had a bad attitude and was not helpful at all. To make things worse, he must have been signed in to a Camp Creek, MO location by mistake because I got charged for a â€œwrong drop off addressâ€ fee. When I went back to complain, he claimed that was due to a â€œsystem errorâ€ and made it sound like he was doing me a favor by calling customer service about it. Finally someone from Cust Service was able to refund the incorrectly charged fee and send me a proper receipt for the one-way return.Jai M.

The facility did not have a storage unit available which would fit all of my belongings so 2 units were needed for a 1 bedroom apartments. The 1st unit smells of rats and had several rats trapped inside. You charged my card over $500 twice without my permission. The first one was refunded after I had to call you and get that taken care of. (This happened because I moved across the country with a U-Haul truck that broke down in Texas and was replaced with a U-Haul that leaked and destroyed most of my valuables. The U-Haul staff did not account for the different mileage on the truck swapped out in Texas, and without my knowledge, my card was charged). The second charge you refused to look into without me providing my credit card number over the phone, so I filed a dispute with my bank and they discovered this was a fraudulent charge and they refunded me. Every time I came into your facility to pay for my storage (to store my damaged items that U-Haul was responsible for) most of your staff was condescending and rude. I never received an apology. No kind words. Just arrogance. I have recorded all your names and have documented the conversations I've had with you. After my surgery and I start to feel better I'm starting with the BBB and I'm not stopping until I get some answers and restitution. I'm not going away.SARA S. | Overall Experience

I had the unit for 5 years following a house fire. Went thru about 4 facility managers. Which were awesome until about last few months of 2021. More strict on rules. I think some things should be case by case sometimes. My husband had a massive stroke...there making 10 grand a month to 1500 a month in disability is a huge change trying to make ends meet is huge.
