Very busy location. However, staff was polite, extremely helpful and communicated the status of certain things to those of us that were waiting in line. They also adapted their service levels and response realizing that the majority of people waiting were returns and not pickups. was charged for mileage i didn't drive due to not having knowledgeable people at the pick up. This location said they were going to give me. a credit and i was charged anyway. Now i have to spend time calling back to get the money back.

Staff was super accommodating. Box was very secure and I was very happy with everything. Manager went above and beyond and even stayed late after her shift to make sure I was accommodated. Everyone from Middletown uhaul NJ to Tampa staff made my move super easy.

Clean equipment!! The self dispatch was easy peasy! ....And, the sit in your car and wait until greeted by a team member for check out is just how I roll!! I didn’t have to stand in line for a receipt. All I was asked was to help with a quick inspection before I exited the comfort of the A/C. Richard was so proficient! And the team was all so busy and working hard! Thanks for all that you all do!

I had a reservation that was confirmed and I had completed the pre-registration prior to arriving but equipment was not available. Many other customers had the same issue, causing a long line and delay (almost 1 hr). The truck I ended up getting was dirty and had broken rear view mirrors which was very dangerous to drive.

Better communication, I called to reserve a van for 4:30 pm 05-17-19, I specifically told rep that I would be in with my church clerk to pay in the a.m. but will pick up at 4:30 she had credit card to make payment, I told rep I would return on Sunday we were charged for 3 days I returned before 4:30 on Sunday.

I had to wait 20 minutes before being acknowledged. The clerk who helped me was clearly buzzed and had the smell of marijuana. When he processee my contract I cannot bear this smell to let him know that I needed an extra day. I tried to actually to return my truck on time but I was a couple hours late. They still charge me for a full day plus coverage I thought that was unacceptable for somebody who is a loyal customer to U-Haul.

From the checkout with the young ladies on Saturday afternoon to the return process, everything was great. Ronald was especially nice to me and my wife. I feel like he really went above and beyond to make the process quick and pleasant. Awesome Uhaul location! I'll be back when I need a truck again.

Had it not been for the intervention of the area President I would haves voiced my opinion in any public way I could. Not withstanding what may be the worst customer experience I have ever had with any organization I do give the President as many stars as I possibly can. I have used u-haul as part of nearly 15 moves in various parts of the country and had it not been for Bob stepping in I would have used anyone but U-haul going forward. I would drive to Orlando before using the location on 56th street in Tampa but thanks to Bob’s intervention I will more than likely use another of his locations for an upcoming move.

The staff at this location was very helpful. She also was very calm and reassuring. However there was a U-Haul box employee from another location who came in the store very rudely. Interrupting the staff with customers, bad attitude, huffing and puffing. Just rude and talking down to staff. The staff stayed calm and nice. But I was shocked with all the attitude given from employee from different location.

When I arrived at the location the agent/cashier started counting her money drawer. I asked her if she was starting her day and she told me she is leaving for the day after she takes care of me. While I am standing there, she continues to count all her coins. I asked her could she count her change when she finish taking care of my reservation. She continued to count all her money in her drawer while I waited. This attitude was not professional at all. She was so worried about leaving the office she did not want to show me where my truck was located outside. I will never use this location again. All the other Uhaul locations showed professionalism in my past experience. Shame on her.

The only problem I had is when I returned my rental, I parked up front not knowing I wasn't suppose to park where I was. However instead of being told to move my personal vehicle an employee parked a Uhaul pick up truck inches from my drivers side to block me in and exited from the passenger side of the Uhaul truck. When I came outside and saw what had happened, I asked him if he could move the truck, he replied I wasn't suppose to park there. I asked him would it have been easier to come inside and ask me to move my vehicle instead using non value added time to block my vehicle in. I don't know if this is a policy, however if it is, it is not customer friendly. Where I parked my personal vehicle there was another vehicle parked 2 spaces from mine, however no actions were taken with that vehicle.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. The employees were not respectful of our time. They were watching videos on their phones as I and four other customers waited in line to be helped. When I finally got to the counter the employee still had his phone out and asked for my address. As I gave him my address he continued watching videos and began showing them to his coworker...then when he was finally finished with his personal entertainment, he looked up as if he forgot I was standing there and said “What was your address again?” This was the worst rental experience I EVER had. I value my time and my money and this company made it crystal clear that it doesn’t value me. I will not continue to rent with U-HAUL. The employees felt comfortable doing this because they know they won’t be reprimanded for this unprofessionalism. If this is what customer service means to U-Haul then this is not for me.

I initially made a reservation to pick up in Ybor and your system rerouted me to the 56 St location. I tried to pick up the truck an hour early and the truck was still out and the person decided to keep for an additional day causing me to not be able to rent the truck the next day. The manager did issue a credit but because of this I had to load my furniture myself because the store that I was picking up from did not have staff to help on Sunday. Then I picked the truck up which smelled like weed and had no gas in it. So, I had to put gas in this truck twice. Yes, a fuel credit was issued but what about the inconvenience?

The man that helped me did great. He had great customer service. But waiting in line took over an hr. I ended up missing checking in to my storage unit so by that time uhaul was closing soon and I had to ask the movers to come back the next day. I got up at 7am to make sure i could get everything moved and get the uhaul back before 24hrs but when i turned it in i was still charged twice. The manager was rude and not understanding or helpful. I definitely would never recommend this location to anyone worst experience.

This is the location that I always come to for a uhaul. This time the trucks alignment was off or the tires weren’t completely inflated causing the truck to pull all over the road. It wasn’t the safest ride that it needed to be while moving.

Teach your general manager, Alicia @ 56th store in Tampa, Fl how to return phone calls. There was an ILLEGAL charge done on a cancelled debit card which now has me over a thousand dollars in the hole with my bank. Due to this gross negligence, my truck insurance payment was not accepted and now I'm endangered with losing my truck insurance. An agreement was made with Ryan at corporate for me to make monthly payments via a promissory note for the charge of the rental. I asked for a copy of that conversation from Ryan and still have NOT received it. I was also informed that it was Alicia who ILLEGALLY TOOK MY MONEY out of my account. The debit card that the truck was reserved on was CANCELLED almost 10 days prior to returning the truck in. I also have voicemails where I was THREATENED that the truck would be reported stolen by a Tracy at corporate recovery. There's a law called Fair Debt Consumer Law where U-Haul has VIOLATED quite a number of the guidelines in FDCL. To prove recovery doesn't correctly look at notes, I was contacted by Tracy and was supposed to be a cop in Alabama in an investigation about an impounded trailer. U-Haul service agents don't take exact notes either. U-Haul screwed me big time and have had to borrow money just to live on since I'm homeless.

The customer service rep that helped me was helpful and knowledgeable of the process which made checking out really fast and fun but the wait to get to him was horrible. The truck I was put in drove mad crazy but it did the job, it smelled good and it was clean on the inside, but most importantly it did not break down!!!! I feel before the store opens and customers are being serviced, a test drive should be done on returning trucks. Because everyone may not report a bad running truck upon returning because they will no longer need to use it. Ijs! But overall, my experience was good!!!! Thanks Uhaul!!!

I ended up with a 7 hr truck rental that I didn't know was for 7 hrs. The person I spoke to on the phone must have double booked the truck within a 24 hr period. Then I get my receipt, and it says I drove 71 miles, when I couldn't have driven more than abou 54 miles.

Actually have the truck that I reserved, and when I called to verify it was there I had positive confirmation from your store. Then was called back 15 minutes later saying it was given away. You offered a larger truck, which I did not need. I accepted a smaller truck which should have cost less but you still charged me the 15ft price.

Ok here we go the problem I had is the fact that when I got the van there was a roll of toilet paper in the back of the van and because I had no proof it fell on me as if I left it there. So with that being said when something like this happens again should I let someone know before I leave that their vehicle has something in it?
