No complaints. I picked the truck up in person from the employee. She was helpful and it was a quick and easy process. I dropped the truck off after hours and I used the website to return it since there were no employees there. That was also quick and easy. I would use this location again.Chad C.
Check in process was smooth, didn't have any issues with the uhaul itself. But when I came back to return it there was a new employee and they somehow messed up the check out process so the billing for the uhaul was incorrect. Manager had to rebill everything the following day.Angelina M.

I was told that my truck and car dolly were available at the same location and they were not. I had to spend extra time and gas driving thru traffic to get the car dolly after I picked up the truck. Water leaked into the cargo area of the truck at several locations, I was given the wrong drop off location on my contract and had to again, drive way out of my way to return the equipment.Zachary H.

The lady at the desk was training so she neglected to mention to me (1st timer) to check in when I returned the truck they didn't even send me a link to do so and so the next morning I was charged an extra $20 for their mistake! A lady called me and told me she would speak wit a manager to prevent that from happening because it was a fault on their rep not mine and LITERALLY the second I hung up I received a charge on my account! This was my very first time very FIRST TIME using Uhaul! Never again ! My best bet is to go with a competitormariah A.

The first truck that I received paper work and signed the contract for smelled like an ash tray. There was cigarette ashes all over the driver door. I told the guy that I wasn't driving 1400 miles in an ashtray. He said â€œwe can't do anything about the smell but I can wipe it down or we can get you a new truckâ€. I opted to get a new truck. When going outside to the new truck, I seen a female employee sitting in the driver seat of another truck smoking a cigarette. Walked out to where my dad was (he was my ride to the uhaul pickup place) and he said â€œno wonder the truck smelled like cigarettesâ€. And pointed to the employee. Upon swapping out the trucks, the clerk told me I didn't need any new paperwork and that it would be emailed to me. I never received the email. Instead of this guy doing things the correct way he wrote the car hauler on one contract and the truck on another. This caused a snowball effect because i received a call from a UHaul GM from Madison, WI that said that my name was still attached to the original truck reservation and there was no record of me having the truck that I was in possession of. After numerous phone calls, being hung up on, and long hold times trying to get things sorted out, we finally were able to get things taken care of. The issues that started here at this location due to UHaul employees not performing their jobs, caused a downhill slide of my experience with UHaul. Due to the issues and the headaches, UHaul will never again gain my business. I would rather spend more money elsewhere without dealing with the bs that I have dealt with, on top of an already stressful situation.Joseph T.

Didn't have the ten ft truck I reserved. Wasn't informed I could return the truck to their location for a much lower fee. It's just hard to get into and out of the location over all.Serenna P.
Very disappointed customer! I rented and could not use the truck. Per associate my items would fit. He measured incorrectly therefore I could not use the van. Wasted my money AND had to pay again to transport my items. Spoke with supervisor/manager in person and she did not try to resolve issue. The associate was present and only said sorry!gina B.
I rented a 26' truck (as well as a 5'x8' enclosed trailer) and the truck was given to me with an empty fuel tank, although the paperwork said it should have 1/2 a tank of fuel. The pick up location told me I had to get a credit from the drop off location. When I returned my truck, I explained the situation and showed the staff member the photo of the dash I took at pick up. The staff member told me they didn't know how to process a credit and that the manager was not there and that they didn't think anyone on duty at the location knew how to process the credit. They asked me to call back another time. I tried calling back the following Monday and no one answers and it routes to the customer service number. I sent a message to the manager and am waiting to hear back. I question if I will ever see any credit at all.Shannon C.

I rented a van in FL for son's college move in (storage unit to dorm). When I arrived at UHaul with premade reservation and license previously uploaded, I was told they could not rent to me because of my out of state license. After much discussion I was able to rent. However this policy needs to be noted when making reservations. It was added stress to an already stressful college move in day.Lynn H.

Please get up and great customers, even if you are busy or talking to your colleague. Inform them returns can be expedited, instead of making them wait in line. Clean vehicles, front and back: I had to install a tarp to cover the dirt, before putting items in the vehicle. I rented the truck for 24 hours. I picked it up around 9am and returned it at 3:45 pm the same day, however the workers would not process the return. I called and came up there several times to inform them that I have not received my confirmation that the truck had been returned and I continued to get lies about it has been checked it, even though I can clearly see the truck is no longer on the lot and not showing checked back in on my email. I called Customer Service several times and each time they lied and act like they notated the account which I found out later they did not. I turned in the truck early under miles and with plenty of fuel but without it being processed at the time of drop off it will not show correctly and I will fight any and all extra charges made to my account. This is the worse group of ghetto people representing Uhaul I have ever worked with and I won't recommend the 5806 N 56th Street location to anyone. This use to be one of the best locations to rent from in Temple Terrace but not anymore. I would caution everyone to STAY AWAY!SHARISE E.
When I arrived at the rental location, I was informed there was an "email alert" on my record and I had to call a toll-free number to resolve whatever issue there was (they didn't tell me what it was). This took an additional 15 minutes. I wonder why that didn't crop up when I reserved online the day before. There was what appeared to be axle grease on the driver's seat, which got on the back of my shirt and subsequently, on my car set and a leather chair at home. When I returned the vehicle, I followed the instructions on the sign to remain in the vehicle for an attendant to arrive. After five minutes I went inside and was told to leave the keys in the vehicle and they would send my receipt via email. There was absolutely no customer-service attitude among the employees.Roland B.

Well, I requested furniture pads but that wasn't presented to me. I also didn't have access to furniture dolly which was supposed to be on the truck. Also I checked in online yet had to wait 40 minutes after reservation time to get the truck.Denley J.
Long wait time even with reservation. Gloves said $1.95 they rung up $2.95 I said I wanted a refund and don't want the gloves. She said the wrong price was on the container. I said its a whole stack. First off you could let the manager know that lying to customers will not make them want to continue business with U-Haul. Second... I'm left owing a bill that I never signed for so I would let them know that falsely accusing someone or that false documents are not going to hold up in court. Last but not least.... Putting complaints on record on a customers file just so they can't rent is not customer satisfaction guaranteed it is a non satisfied customer that will not return to U-Haul even tho they've always paid their bill.SHAWN R.

The Uhaul leaked and ruined some of our furniture. The Uhaul center gave me a Uhaul parked next to a guardrail on the inside of 2 other trucks that would have been easier to back out. I took me about 30 minutes just to get out. The truck had an exhaust leak and terrible brakes.Parker L.

The equipment was very well maintained and clean (trailer, so that is saying a lot). The location was incredible compared to other local Uhaul facilities which are abysmal. The staff however were... zombies. They seemed dead inside. Didn't respond much to "How's your day going?" or any other nicety I could offer. I try to be one that is able to interact with anyone and everyone. These employees, however, are miserable working there or something. It was like their store puppy died or something.Meade L.

I understand mishaps, but the cab literally smelled like a blunt, and if I had been pulled over for whatever reason- the officer would definitely suspect me using marijuana in the truck. The original rental wasn't ready, and 2 more trucks and 30 mins later I get into one that wasn't acceptable, but I was relying on uhaul's services so that I could serve my clients, so I needed to take what I could get at the time.Christopher L.

The facility did not have a storage unit available which would fit all of my belongings so 2 units were needed for a 1 bedroom apartments. The 1st unit smells of rats and had several rats trapped inside. You charged my card over $500 twice without my permission. The first one was refunded after I had to call you and get that taken care of. (This happened because I moved across the country with a U-Haul truck that broke down in Texas and was replaced with a U-Haul that leaked and destroyed most of my valuables. The U-Haul staff did not account for the different mileage on the truck swapped out in Texas, and without my knowledge, my card was charged). The second charge you refused to look into without me providing my credit card number over the phone, so I filed a dispute with my bank and they discovered this was a fraudulent charge and they refunded me. Every time I came into your facility to pay for my storage (to store my damaged items that U-Haul was responsible for) most of your staff was condescending and rude. I never received an apology. No kind words. Just arrogance. I have recorded all your names and have documented the conversations I've had with you. I had the unit for 5 years following a house fire. Went thru about 4 facility managers. Which were awesome until about last few months of 2021. More strict on rules. I think some things should be case by case sometimes. My husband had a massive stroke...there making 10 grand a month to 1500 a month in disability is a huge change trying to make ends meet is huge.
