The truck has a wobble. Either a tire or alignment problem. For my only 33 mile use that was fine. For a longer drive could be a problem. The ladies at this location are wonderful and cheerful.

My experience was excellent on pickup. Mariesha Porterfield handled my checkin and helped me with the process of entering my information on the registration form. Mariesha has a pleasant personality and helpful attitude. I arrived before opening and watched as Mariesha toured the lot and checked ever truck for readiness. I would definitely recommend this Uhaul location to future customers.

The truck was still in the dirty line it wasn't the size I reserved and the rep was rude. although I kept the truck over time I expected to pay for a additional day but not 237 my mileage didn't calculate to that much money.

They did not have a set of handtrucks which we needed desparately. Also, I realize that people often do not return their trucks in a timely manner making the next renter suffer. This location was the 3rd location we had to go to that morning just to get the truck. The truck was only 1/2 full of gas.

I had a 1pm pickup scheduled. I arrived at 1:10pm and had to wait while someone was away at lunch. The sign on the door stated they were away at lunch and to call a number if they were needed. I called the number only to find out, the number was for an employee who was not at work that day. She however was kind enough to track down Stephanie Perdue to notified her I was waiting. The employee let me know she was on the way. Stephanie Perdue showed 40 minutes later, taking her merry time, on a personal call gossiping with a friend with the phone on speaker phone. Never once did she apologize or tried to pickup her pace to check me in since I waited 40 minutes. I told her I was running late. She never said a word back to me. I said please hurry I must be there by 2pm, Needless to say I was late getting to my destination because of the unprofessionalism of this location. When I returned the van. Guess what!!! Stephanie was on another call gossiping with her friend!! She did not ask about how was my rental or anything. She kept her buddy on speaker phone while she reviewed the van while I stood there. She gave me the total charge of the rental and continued her conversation with her buddy. Never taking me for my business. I would like to add I rented from that location twice in 4 days. Only because I had to and it was close to the vendor I was working with. My next rental, I don't care how far we have drive will never be there again. No I will refer that location either. Her name tag said Owner. If that is the truth, Uhaul you must get better about who you select to be your franchise owners.

The truck had something wrong with the engine/transmission and sounded horrible when driving. The truck bed was also not super clean. The door to the back of the truck would catch at the top and several times was next to impossible to get back down.

I preordered supplies. Once there neither to clerk on the computer or me on my phone could see the items and their quantities. The truck wasn't there at the pickup time. The check-in and check-out process took over an hour combined.

The drivers side door would not close, the passenger side door would not close all the way because the entire lining around the door and window was falling off. The truck was broken into in our driveway with the master lock intact when we left it. Someone busted the lock open. The majority of our stuff was stolen. It has been reported to the Birmingham Police Department, a report was written, and crime scene investigators are on the case. We will never, every use this location again. We will be telling our friends to never use this location ever again. My husband is an investigative journalist, we suspect that the staff at the uhaul location in East Lake are somehow connected to the robbery. It has been reported to the BPD.

My reservation was at 5pm, I got to the establishment at 4:50 and no one was there, the office was locked yet it said it closed at 7pm. I was on hold with customer service for 30 minutes and wasn't able to reach anyone. The online check in team tried helping me out. At 5:30, an employee showed up and didn't have a reason why there was no one there. It's like they left the establishment and came back, extremely unprofessional and unacceptable.

There is a loud wind whistle at 55 mph while driving with a headwind. The whistle appears to be around the windshield seal on the passenger side. When driving with no wind the whistle would start at 65 mph which was very obnoxious.

Let them know that there's a $20 fee for after hours even though no one is reachable when you have problems returning truck online so it's a way to overcharge customers.

The customer service experience could be better, its not impressive at all. The GM is nice and seems to be fair; however, I think the front desk clerks and/or Asst Mgmt staff needs to focus on being more friendly and courteous. Also more training in explaining addtl charges and policies instead of running threw them as if they're reading a script.
