Every time I go to this location I'm reminded that I shouldn't have. The truck I was assigned did not have any gas in it. I wasn't given the furniture dolly, utility dolly, or furniture pads until I asked about them. The person I assume was the manager left and the other clerk had no idea what to do. I asked if they could just put gas in the truck for me. He ended up calling someone else for help over the phone and eventually I was given another truck. The whole process took almost 45 minutes from the time I got there versus the time I actually was able to leave in a rented truck.Lauren E.

I was charged for a unit I never had access to. After reservo the unit, I was informed that the unit was only accessible during their office hours. However, the other units are available until 10pm. I decided to cancel the transaction. I was informed it was canceled and I would not be charged. I was charged. I have called SEVERAL times to get this resolved. The employees are extremely helpful as much as they can be. However, the manager is completely negligent when it comes to communication. Several employees have left my information behind and informed me she would reach back out to me. One of the employees even messaged her while I was there, then messaged her the day after again because she did not reach out to me. She still has yet to return a call and it's been almost one month. My unit was on the second floor, elevator was broke and down for 2 weeks. I had called several times to talk to someone, NO ONE called me back. Went into the Uhaul place 3x to try to get a date when it would be working, the people there had no idea. I had to pay movers 2x a deposit for moving revised had to cancel then had to pay extra rent at previous address because elevator was still not working when I had movers set up. The location was convenient and the truck was clean enough. The employee who checked me in had her mask below her nose which makes in totally ineffective. She was also less than optimal in her customer service skills. It would have been a really nice touch if perhaps someone had scraped the snow and frost from the windshield before I took possession of the vehicle for the day since there was no scraper in the vehicle.Lorita M.

My reservation was for 7:00am which is the time the store opens. I would expect the employee to be there in time to open. I was there at 7:00 along with another customer. We waited until 7:20 for someone to show up and open. He never apologized for being late. He also did not seem to be very experienced with the computer. I have been renting a U-Haul van for work monthly from this location since 2014. When I first began renting the store had a manager that was fantastic. She was very personable, had the van ready (running and windows cleaned off if it was winter), and the equipment was clean. She was following by another manager who was nice but the equipment was not kept as clean. Now there is another manager and this location has continued to go downhill. I have come back to the Tallmadge Ave location to rent space from because of sub par care at other UHaul sites closer to my home. The team on Tallmadge Ave., have been excellent and I do recommend them to anyone who is in the area & asks. Suggestion. Get someone to smooth out the flooring in the beginning of the 1200 row in storage, the choppy & potholed cement section is hard to cross with a cart.Donna D. | Overall Experience

The only improvement and reason I won't use UHaul again until I am able to get a vaccination against COVID-19 is that one female associate behind plexiglas was not masked. I thought Summit County had a mask order. If it had been my turn to go to her, I would have told her politely that I am in a risk category and would prefer to be helped by a masked associate. Called 3 days prior to drop off to change my location. The cust serv rep told me : There will be np for you to drop off the truck here Me: Don't you have to edit anything? First of all the two women working were more concerned with themselves than with me and the girl that checked me in was very snippy. The truck was i was given had steering issues. At first I thought it was because he truck was empty, but the steering continued to be very loose and all over the road. A tire blew on the truck thankful right as I pulled up to unload. When I went back to get another truck after the tire was changed, the girl at the counter wasn't wearing a mask at all, so I took mine off. Then I am told I will be charged full price for the delay and the stress of my day moving.Christina D.

I had a storage unit from 2013 until 8/2020 and they over charged me repeatedly, never notified me my lock was on wrong which the door just opened up to my unit and I had some of the WORST customer service phone calls about my due date at which they continue to over charge me monthly. I have rented 2 plus storage units on Talmadge Ave. since August 8, 2017. I was quite satisfied with both the management and the facilty until June of 2019. The Facility did remain both clean and secure. The availably of carts and lack of customer service was zero. The Mangement is the problem. U haul Mangement seems to think Customer Service, stops as soon at a move in and a storage area is rented on an auto deduct. Danielle did an excellent job handling my move out of two storage units. She handled my account, rental equipment and provided excellent customer service. Her only limit was Management. An employee should never be put in that position.. I will be reviewing the total my cost doing business with U haul and whether I will continue to have a working business relationship with U haul in the future. I have Unit 1170 until 6/10/ 2020. This UHAUL Facility and Management has had ample time and to provide both fair compensation and costumer service and resolve any disputes on Units 1290 and Unit 1194 and chose not too.
