I let them know that the ramp was in the back of the truck, and could not be put back into the location it goes. Also, the ramp hook area was not there on the left side and the ramp was not really able to be used. I did let the team know and they were going to "down" the truck so that can be fixed.ROBERT R.

I had a reservation 2 weeks prior to the day I needed truck. I was supposed to pick up at 1030 am. At 9 am I received a call that my truck hasn't come in and wondered if I still needed today. He said he'd find another location asap and didn't call me for over 20 min. I called him back and finally said he'd find one. The earliest was 130 pm 10 miles east of where I started my move. I agreed but then my bf called and asked for a closer location we found on site for 230. We got there and they didn't have my truck which was supposed to be "guaranteed". The place was not a typical uhaul pick up, it was a small business and he worked so hard to make this right but was unable. We finally got a truck at a different, 3rd location at 4 pm. The original dude said I could ask for "reservation guarantee" which would give us $50 credit but the final place wouldn't grant and I need to bring up with original office. Which I plan to do as this was only on Sat may 8th. I get this is a very busy time of year in a very busy year of the housing market but I did not feel u-haul tried to redeem themselves after first error. It was very disappointing and exhausting moving until 130 am in a rush bc of a huge looming rainstorm.Danielle H.
I reserved the truck at the 98th & Michigan location as that is closest to me and our move. I received call the day before pick-up that I had to go to this location (+18 miles each way) and there was no option. The fact that extra mileage was not reimbursed (I asked the agent that called) is rather frustrating, especially considering I lost over an hour of truck use time because of this change.Graydon T.

They have a terrible attention when you visit the warehouse, they do not inform themselves, they talk with their colleagues and they make signs never answer the store phoneJOSE J.
Was not able to pick up U-Haul until 2.5 hours after scheduled pick up time due to store error. Attempted to contact customer service with no responses. When store was scheduled to be open at 9:00 am, waited 15 minutes and no employee was still available to open the store. Went to another location and they were unable to assist due to payment made to above franchise although no one was available to help resolve the issue. When we walked in there was no employees, two other customers in line, both customers had masks on due to the pandemic. The first employee walks in and has no mask, doesn't put one on and doesn't even have one by her. The second employee walks in after she's waiting on one of the other customers. And he also has no mask. He calls out to the next customer and begins to wait on them. At one point he even came around from behind the counter walking around talking spraying respiratory droplets everywhere no mask. This location is in an area that had elected to continue the mask mandate as cases are in the rise. When I was checked in I was told I'd get a text to rate and dispute the condition of the truck we were getting and after walking around the truck noting some pretty significant damage I still had received no text. So I had to go back inside. While back inside a young woman had come in and the male employee was flirting with her, again unmasked while she was complying with the mask mandate. Telling her to come back by when she's done, he'd be waiting for her. I explained that I still had not received a text and he finally sent me the text I needed. This was a very uncomfortable situation and I purposefully took the truck back after hours to avoid the employees due to the complete disregard for others health. Our truck was old, stuck of cigarettes and was heavily damaged on the outside when we received it. We are pretty sad by our experience this time. And we have used uhaul many times in the past. Next move, we might have to go with another truck rental company.David R.

I was delayed for 45 minutes waiting to check out the truck I already booked online.ABDULATEEF A.
I think my only concern is that I reserved furniture blankets/towels and they weren't available when I arrived. so I had to drive to another location on the other side of town to pick them up and drop them off. This added to my mileage which I'm then charged for.SHAYNA S.
They seem to have enough trucks but it took over an hour to pick up on my reservation because all the other locations sent customers to that location. Also there was no dolly on the truck or available. Although the fee was refunded, it made the moving experience hard and we were already an hour behind. I don't think it is on this store either as while waiting there were calls, trailer hook-ups, and other things with only two female associates on site. If you are going to send the customers then send the help to match. It should not count against this store when it seems that the root problems comes with other stores leaving this store to take care of their reservations and customer issues.Monica W.

I have complained about pest issues since after moving into the storage facility. I seen roaches and foreign looking bugs walking through while loading furniture into my unit. I informed Uhaul about these findings on day one and my concern, but I was told to purchase insurance. I purchased insurance and sadly within my unit find roaches, big and small ones, around and near my furniture. Of course, there is no way I am taking this furniture to my new house now. I call the insurance to get this replaced and they say roaches are not covered under Pest; however, they would call uhaul to see what can be done. No follow-up or anything, but something must of been communicated because not only are people working at uhaul cleaning the storage facility, but now they had "inspectors" come overview and ask random people what they thought about the uhaul. I could be entirely wrong about my assumption, but it would have been nice to see this care, look, and pride for the facility as a normal maintenance. Overall, I took matters into my own hands and came to the conclusion that storage facilities are a waste unless you have items you don't care to loose. It is sad that you pay a decent amount of money to store away furniture only to know that you will have to most likely dispose of it in some matter due to neighbors and or the facility upkeep. If item is actually left in the back of a unit has been turned in that it be reported and turned into lost and found for at least 24 hours. Especially with the item being over $400 in magical you nobody saw it and or turn it in less than an hour and a half of being checked in to the home location. Plus the evening shift is rude indoor lazy due to the fact that you have one employee that never leaves her seat unless they of South American descent and another one that's just lazy minded and we're always in slow motionLOUIS D.

They didn't Make sure back of truck was swept clean. Had them sweep the straw and etc out when I picked it up. They need to do a truck analysis, had to take it back next day because check engine light came on. They need to grease and operate tow dolly swivel before sending out. Didn't operate correctly when car was loaded. So another trip back to store. However, The personnel were friendly and helpful.Kurt G.

Everything was great till I tried to close my account. And because I closed my account 2 days after you took my payment. I didn't get a refund or a partial credit for the month. you guys took all of my money for the entire month even though I was only there for two days. That is unacceptable to me and for that reason alone I will not recommend you. I have put in a customer complaint to see if I can get a partial credit back. But I spoken to two Representatives on the phone and it doesn't look like that's going to happen. And the gentleman that closed my account although was friendly he could care less whether or not I got any of my money back. Though I see maintenance and pest control is something that is noted in the facility, I know my furniture would not be able to stay there long as roaches were climbing off of my rented storage door and walking with me while I was moving my thing into the storage space. Otherwise, customer service was nice.
