12' trailer was dirty inside and out. Spend 2 hours cleaning inside of unit with degreaser due to a black oily residue that was on floor and corners of unit. Had to put padding on floor so as not to soil furniture and boxes. Suspension was also very squeaky but tracked well. Not up to the standard I expect from UHaul. Added time and costs for me.DONALD N.

Upon arrival greeted by a staff member very friendly an knowledgeable about the trailer. Had filled out the information on there site. Was in an out within 10 minutes. Trailer was ready to hitch up, Uhaul supplied a plug to fit our plug. Check all lights, away we went. Trailer pulled great, completed our move, cleaned trailer, returned on time. Staff member help to unhitch trailer, released to uhaul. Will use this site when a trailer is needed again.Charlene G.

The customer service was terrible. The person working was rude. When I asked him I'd he was having a bad day he told me â€œstop assuming shitâ€, and interrupted before I could even ask about a receipt. i will never use uhaul again. Also the entire van smelled like animal urineHollie H.

We were about two minutes after our drop off time. The staff had us return the truck by doing everything online. It took us a few minutes to do this. The employees left the facility before we left. I know you have rules but it was only two minutes. Everything else was great. When picking up the truck the customer service was great. Dropping off the truck was different. The employee didn't even say anything to my husband. He was getting out of the store as quickly as possible.Faith M.

I had a web appointment at 7am to pick up a trailer, and apparently two other people did at that same time also. It took about 20 minutes all up including wait time to get through the check out process and back on the road. I'd maybe just suggest ensuring you're staffed properly at the heavier time. Otherwise, the experience was outstanding - the staff was *awesome* and the equipment good as usual.Brian C.

I booked a truck for my sister in law, and I was going to pay for it. I speciffically asked if I needed to be there and was told no, that was not necessarry . Last night, after she had returned it, i get a text starting that I need to return it or pay 20 $ conveinience fee. Unfair, as I had no way of knowing that I had to be there for the return. Tried to talk to the staff next day, but they did not want to resolve the situation. Will not rent again.Anders T.

Place was in chaos and the staff was dismissive when I was telling them about the truck shaking and jerking they blew me off and told me that's a common problem. That should not be a common problem. With how the drop off location dealt with me I doubt I will ever use U-Haul again nor will we use it for my work any longer.Jon R.

My phone was dead when I brought it in after hours so I couldn't check it in so there was extra cost. I gave the location only average because I didn't feel secure as three separate men walked by so I got out faster than I wanted to. One was drunk, one was loudly talking to himself and the other stared me down. Biggest problem is that I tried to call to office and only got a computer. I had tolls that were charged to the Uhaul and I wanted to know if I should wait for tolls to be charged and then forwarded to me or try to figure out how to pay them myself which would be another headache. No person to talk to and that was not an option on the website. The guy said I could just call if I had problems but that was not possible with your answering system. I plan to go back in tomorrow in person to explain why I didn't take pictures and ask about the tolls. That's another 25 minute one way drive to get this done. The person that originally helped me was very good - it's just your system I don't like.Debra H.

The staff is totally incompetent. For some reason they could not explained, my reservation was canceled the day before the pick up. I had reserved a 10 Ft truck, and they gave me a 26 ft vehicle. Needless to say I was not mentally or emotionally prepared to drive a semi truck. I will never rent again from UHaul or this location.Edger M.

The guy who helped to pick up was absolutely worse. He forgot to hooked up my car with trailer and swearing and impatient to me again and agin. Even though I was polite and telling me that he won't hook up trailers at Uhaul again. The hook up was bad I had to watched from You Tube and had to finalize it.Nyi S.

Improve after hours return procedure. I was not able to get uhaul.com return truck site to work. Never got "return truck prompt" to appear. Called 800 # and returned truck over phone. Waited on hold 45 minutes to speak to person (who was VERY pleasant and helpful) and emailed pics of fuel/mileage/time to complete return. The gentleman that helped me was not at all professional. I had to buy a 2â€ ball, which I had no issues with that but he did not properly install it. By the time I drove 3 hours with it it came loose. When I arrived at the Benton Harbor U-Haul location to return the trailer, I asked that gentleman there if he could change the ball back to the one that was on my hitch and he said he had no tools available to do that. Which I did not believe him. I'm very disappointed in the lack of customer service.Nicholas W.

I don't recall the gentleman's name who was there to 'help' me... At first he tried to turn me away because the my mount was too thick for the hooks; when we went in to cancel the rental I mentioned that we could try looping the chain through which we went out and successfully did. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was inconveniencing him... heavy sighs, groans when I asked questions, etc. I figured he was having a bad day so I wrote it off. Next day I come in to return the rental and I pull up and park in the only place I can fit, run in to ask him where he wants me to pull... he was incredibly rude, wouldn't tell me where to go, told me I had to move because I was blocking the customer he was working with at that moment... I asked him directly "Where do you want me to go?" and he sighed heavily (I keep mentioning this because it was really strange from a grown man) and didn't respond at all. Thankfully another person who was working saw that I was getting frustrated and said "Sir, if you would pull up right here, I will take care of you and we'll get you on your way". From that point forward it was fine. The initial person I dealt with does not want to do his job clearly and I in turn do not want to deal with him in the future... I'll find somewhere else to rent from.Darrick P.

Started at Coldwater location which lied to me and told me all was ti done there and switched me to Washington. I was told that Coldwater had Auto transport and at last day that they didnt. Washinton told me and my daughter we had to hook up car to trailer. A complete insult to a customer because of insurance which. All U haul employees shuld hv. I hv used u haul and my family for yrs and hv never been treated this way. We will not be using u haul in future.SARAH C.

The store had no storage units available (all units had physical locks on them), despite the computer system saying that they did. I was trying to get a storage unit to move into that day and there were a couple other options that were open on Sunday. I'm on a really tight schedule and lost a critical day due to this error. Staff in store was unable to contact their GM to resolve the situation at the time and stated that GM had limited availability the next day to get a resolution. Thus far I've spent over 30 minutes of my work day on Monday on hold in the hopes of getting this resolved. Seems unlikely, hoping for a refund at this point.ROBERT D. | First Impressions

I moved out of town approx. 100 mile trip. U Haul helped me to accomplish everything and they were so friendly and explained all the details to me. I purchased from U Haul all my moving supplies needed to pack up my home. They had so much to choose from I did not have to go anywhere else to get one single item. I rented a Truck for a one-way trip that process went much smoother than I thought it would. I was also able to get a dolly and packing cloths to cushion my furniture and glass table tops for a very small fee. Then finally I rented a storage unit in the new city I moved to; it was large enough to hold all my furniture, household items, clothes & boxes. And the 1st month was free of charge!! By now I am exhausted from the move and I originally was supposed to drop off the truck at a different location closer to my new home. However, they allowed me to return it at the U Haul storage location. U Haul made this overwhelming move to a new city smooth, calm and friendly. Mind you I just buried my Mom a few days prior. I received excellent customer service from 3 different locations. With my Mom's death my emotions were on edge not to mention all the work to move to a new city. U Haul is to be commended on how much they helped a single women and I admit I was a emotional mess the entire time.
