Transmission had issues, which should have been checked and taken care if before it was rented out. Also the wipers were warped and didn't perform good.Lisa S.
The distance was ridiculous. Almost an hour from home. Mileage was entered incorrectly which created more work for me to get it corrected. The entire process of renting the truck and all the work a customer has to do. Answer questions, upload pictures and errors were still made. Really bad 1st time experience for me. My sons have rented U-haul trucks before and the process was very pleasant and a breeze. No standing outside in 90 degree weather answering questions online, taking and uploading pictures. I did the online do it yourself pickup. While trying to pick up the vehicle I came to a screen that said to go get the key with the lock box code. I never got a code. There wasn't one anywhere. So I called customer service and they gave it to me. The key wasn't in the lock box compartment it was supposed to be in. I had to call and wait on hold with customer service again to sort that out. I had to give the names and numbers of two friends while answering questions trying to get the vehicle. Uhaul made me wait while they called and talked to both people which we all thought was very weird, especially my friends that had to talk to uhaul. It took about 30-40 minutes just to get the vehicle and go. Nobody wants to spend a half hour doing that on moving day especially when it's an out of state move. Then when we went to drop off the vehicle there was no clear drop box to put the key. We looked all around for it which was difficult because there was a homeless man sleeping against the building. I might possibly consider uhaul in the future but definitely not the same location and I will only do in person pick up.Laurel B.
The website is terrible on equipment availabilityâ€¦.. I had to go to 2 different locations because the equipment wasn't available like the website said. The truck I reserve wasn't ready because the reservation either didn't show up in their system or they just didn't look. We had to fuel the truck because it was on emptyâ€¦. There was no key in my lock box and I did not receive the dolly I ordered. So I had to wait an extra hour to get the uhal when I scheduled the pick up at 8 am. Which put my entire day behind.ALEXANDER G.

This location was great even though they are supposed to be closing. The problem I had was with the Memphis area office. Instead of calling me 24 hours before pick up, I received 30 minutes beforehand to tell me that they had no trucks with in the 40 mile radius. They found me one an hour away.Jacob F.

Employee wasn't familiar with the mobile app I had tech problems which I tried explaining to Taylor Brooks but she still resolve this problem I feel like I was overcharged for fuel and didn't get the chance to review the fuel prior to the mobile app issue she decided to choose the technology versus her customer I have used U-Haul all my adult life and never paid as much as I have for a trip that was less than 5 miles round tripRegina J.

First of all, the truck I reserved from the Old Hickory location was given to someone else. Thankfully the staff at this location was able to locate a truck available at Airways. I lost over 2 hours of time though waiting, and this location was further from my move. Second, the back of the truck was not clean. There was dirt and broken glass we had to clean up. More lost time. Other than that, the truck at least was in good shape and handled well. Third, the mobile return process is terrible. The Uhaul app kept crashing and starting over. The web site kept giving errors when trying to load pictures. It took more than 30 minutes to complete this process and no help was there since the location is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Very frustrating and more lost time. This was by far the worst experience I have had with Uhaul, and we have used their equipment many, many times.James M.

Before arrival I called to ask what trucks were available & was told that there was only a 26â€ truck but online it stated there were more. Book the 20â€ truck online. Upon arrival, the guy was was rude. I rented a $7 dolly online but once got to the store the worker stated there were none which had to pay $10 for a bigger one. Once he brought the truck out, there was a dolly there. I stated â€œOh here's one right hereâ€ he said ok well.., and started rolling the big dolly back inside and I told him to wait because he charge me for the bigger one. First he ignored what I was saying and I had to keep saying wait. He turned around with the appliance dolly came towards me with it. He left it there and walked off and went back in building. I had to load appliance dolly myself. The customer service was awful. & I would like a refund.Amber P.

Truck was very dusty in storage area. They were not open for 2 days during my return so it looked like Inturned in a day late when we actually turned it in a day early.. I received an email saying I am getting a refund but my bank account was charged an additional $73.24 on top of initial hold of 235.54. Was told have to call customer service because they dont know what I am talking about.Calvin F.

The truck had the check engine light on, and the "change oil now" indicator was on too. There was only one person working on Saturday, and even though we checked in online it still took more than 40 minutes to get assistance and get the truck. Please maintain your trucks and hire extra people to work weekends during moving season.Joshua R.

I emailed as well as called the location asking about if I would be received a deposit back a week ago. I received no response but now I'm receiving emails of a invoice saying I owe more money. The man was very unfriendly and acted as if he didn't want to be there or i was coming to rent his own personal vehicle to move my belongings. I wouldn't recommend this company.lakida W.
Get a better customer service rep. The guy who worked this day moved so slow and was so rude. The energy was terrible, he didn't let us know what options he had available. He got upset because we didn't have a reservation and tried to give us equipment that wouldn't work with our moving. He was just overall rude. When asked what we were driving, he just pointes at the car. No words, just pointed. He was rude. As long as he's at this location, I'll be going to another.ashley W.

When I rented the van I was on a daily rate, I turned the van in early, and they switched me to a weekly rate to get more money from me. They even confirmed I was on a daily rate when I called them to return early. Be careful!!erich R.

Ask the gentleman that was working that day to not be so rude. I'm glad I did everything online...I wouldn't have wanted to do the old process with him. And we were 20 seconds from the your location when we realized there was no dolly. Turned around immediately and returned to get one from small fenced area that van was parked next to. Was "fussed" at for doing this and I give him that....but the attitude was already in place. Over all I like the new method. I have always went with Uhaul and everytime it was an easy process. BTW....he may have just been having a bad day...or jealous that the new system may do his job too well. ¡Gracias!Eugene T.
