I was overcharged by almost one month after notifying the facility that I was moving out in person. I received a phone call from the office almost after I moved out trying to collect another payment. I would appreciate a full refund.
One thing that is frustrating is that it appears that the loading dock doors do not work after a certain time of the day. I have gone many times around 6 or 7 and the door would not open.
The young man in the office (his name escapes me- unfortunately, my memory for names isn't what it used to be) was extremely helpful, and very courteous and friendly.

One of the employees thought that it was professional to message me on Facebook about my storage unit. I think that’s a little invasive so I cleared everything out and canceled my contract.

Aretha is the bomb! She excels in the definition of what customer service should be about. Her warm smile, enthusiasm, electric personality, & overall knowledge made our experience a wonderful one. So seldom in today’s society do we experience the love that Aretha showed towards us, her customer. I’m looking forward to our return visit in a couple weeks. I don’t what her compensation is but it’s probable not enough! This is the best experience I have ever had at a U-Haul or any other place of a customer service type business. I think U-Haul corporate should tap into her knowledge and personality to travel and help train & educate their corporate workforce. It would be money well spent. -Bill McBrayer
This is the best storage and rental place I have ever been! The staff is friendly and profession. The storage units are clean and well kept. I can’t give this place a high enough rating.

Aresha went above and beyond to help me every time I had an issue!!! She is knowledgeable, patient, and extremely calm, no matter how busy they are. Everyone there is great, but she is top notch! Storage areas always smelled as if they were just cleaned/mopped. I always felt safe going in there alone!! IF i ever need storage again, I will definitely be back. Downtown U-Haul and storage by LR is definitely THE BEST! Thank you all for everything!!!!
UHaul of Downtown Hickory exceeded my expectations. I had no problems at all there. The first time I stopped by to finalize my reservation during my initial move, the staff was friendly and helpful, and even called later to make sure I made it OK to my final destination an hour away in the mountains. The facility looked very clean every time I went there to drop off or pick up a few items for the months my items were in storage. The staff was helpful when I forgot how to use my access card between trips. The move-out process was easy and the staff was helpful. I haven't unpacked any of the boxes yet since I just picked them up yesterday, but during the move-out process, I didn't see any damage to the furniture or boxes I had stored. (That had been a concern after reading reviews of various storage places when I was originally looking for a storage facility.)
Automatic door didn't work when I got there. Had to wait for manager to reset it. Otherwise customer service was great. Facility is very clean and in a safe location.
Areesha and her staff were pleasant, helpful and professional in meeting our needs. They made our move seamless and stress free. The facility was emmaculate and well lit. Thanks for a great experience. Joe and Diane B.

Laurie Largent is at the very least unprofessional, but more comparable to a liability. Her actions and aloof demeanor are beyond reprehensible. It is in U-Hau's best interest to let her go.

Super friendly staff. My only complain—lock (provided by U Haul) that was on the storage unit only had one key, which we lost. There was no master so we had to pay 50.00 to have the lock drilled out.
Great people! They are easy to work with and the location is clean and safe. Access was easy and the staff always said hey whenever I saw them. Best storage/rental place I’ve been to.
Excellent local staff...My issues of disappointment were related to inaccurate estimates of milage and additional charges related to minimal overage...Also, poor quality of tires resulted in problems

Definitely to expensive for a small until 5x10. Costed $70 dollars a month. But didn’t have a choice but there.
