There wasn't a line when we arrived. We walked right up to the register, but it still took 30 minutes to do the paperwork inside the store before we even got to load the dolly. We were there from 4:17 to 4:48. Then it took another 5 min to load. The lady we worked with was very nice, but your company really needs to find a way to streamline your rental process. Also, I initially called a store directly and was placed on hold for quite some time. The man who finally answered started our conversation by asking for my personal information to make a reservation. I asked him three times if he could just please tell me if he had a car dolly before I give him all my information. He said no and was not polite about it. It turns out that he was working at an off site location and if he initially told me that, then I would have understood why he was refusing to answer that simple question. The location that traffic originally scheduled us to pick up a dolly didn't even have a person on site who was trained to hook it up for us even though we had a reservation time. We had to wait for the employee to locate another dolly at a different location. Then we had to drive to another store to get the rental. There was a lot of unnecessary confusion and a waste of the customer's time. I'm not going to lie, Uhaul traffic really needs an overhaul and possibly improved employee training. I hope you guys can use this information to help make improvements from within your company because I've been happy with Uhaul in the past and would hate to have to take my business elsewhere.STEELE M.

Door didn't close all the way causing a dashboard warning light when driving. When told about it, representative responded, â€œsome of our trucks do thisâ€Tyler F.
Did the whole online transaction. It was in my daughters name but I used my credit card. Went to pick up the truck and it gave us 2 vehicles that weren't there, so then had to go inside and be told that the person that's paying has to be there to give a credit card. I had to drive down to the location from work. ðŸ¤¬ I asked why they even offer the contactless option online if it doesn't work and they said they didn't know, but told me they have to take the credit card in person which makes no sense. They had to redo the reservation 3 times because the system timed out. I had to run my credit card 3 different times. SO FRUSTRATING!!! and there's signs up all over advertising the self renting option. I should have been offered a discount for my troubles and having to drive to the location when I purposely rented in my daughters name because I was working and couldn't make it. So I basically had to leave because we were on a time constraint.LAURIE W.

The fuel amount shown on the contract was off by a quarter of a tank. I should have gone back in as soon as I noticed but I did not. I put 7.093 gallons of gas in before dropping off for 41 miles of use and was still charged for an additional 3.30 gallons at $14.85. I do not think the truck got less than 4 mpg. Watch out for incorrect fuel level when picking up truck. It get costly. I will definitely not use that location again.JIMMY B.
No fault of Uhaul Moving and Storage of Chandler, but I reserved the trailer 2 weeks in advance at my local Uhaul in North Phoenix only to be be informed that I have to drive to Queen Creek to get a trailer 2 days before the reserved date. Called the main scheduling center and was directed to the Chandler facility. Not impressed with the the logistics of renting the trailer. Personnel were all professional and helpful.Steven S.

It was a 105ï¾Ÿ and the air conditioner went out of the truck. The trick overheat in a couple of times which made us have to pull over several times to cool off. I called the office to report the problem. They apologized but nothing was discounted on the final bill.SHELLEY H.
NO LONGER GETTING EMAIL RECEIPTS. As a small business owner, we rent trucks 2-3 times a week during our busy seasons and have been doing that for 10 years. For the past several months, we no longer received the receipts via email, which adds an extra step of us having to go back in and have it printed manually (it is not a spam issue). When we return after hours, there is no way to get a receipt at all, even afterwards from our online account. We love U-Haul, but his needs to be fixed.David R.
The 800 number customer service was horrible. This does not apply to the pick up or drop off locations. The store I requested was not available to pick up at and the drop off location was changed after I made the reservation. I was asked to come pick up the trailer 3 days early and drive 30 miles further to get it. The 800 number never extended the reservation for the additional 3 days so the return date was 3 days sooner than it was supposed to be. This took another call to the 800 number who was less than helpful and wouldn't give me the additional 3 days. She had to call transportation who confirmed the error that was made and processed the correction and additional 3 days to the rental. The staff was very friendly at both pick up and drop off locations, sad the 800 number service is so poor.KYLE B.

Unable to get the size vehicle needed and there were three of each on the lot! Also Uhaul should consider an early return discount. 24 hour charge and we only needed to move 1 piece if furniture. Return rebate 4-6 hrs could credit back $10.00 or credit toward next rental.KARMA H.

this whole rental has been screwed up from the beginning , we have ttwo contract numbers we have also rrented two storage units from you and hired help both in gillette and chandler i understand we are entitled to a free months rental of storage unit but i was on eternal hold witth 1800 uhaul got no satisfaction and left msg for and contrct manager and have not recived any information back we will probably have to rent 2 more truck for local move to clear out our belongings in storage we changed his store date to 4/29 so he changed it on line and now they are saying we had to call and the last day we we have to be out is 5/27 we have used uhaul many times and have never had this much trouble we even had to call for one of the moving help for number to pay movers i woild like to speak to someone and get this very important matter solvedCAROL ANN W.

The Facility is OLD and the parking lot was getting redone and it was very chaotic for customers to get to the service counter due to lack of clear signage. ALSO, ALL MOST ALL NEW STAFF who were not fully trained My last visit this past year was great and this year the arrival and pick up was HORRIBLE....The saving grace was the young man helping me out when I brought the truck back. Improve on the number of people who are available to properly service customers who need a one-way truck. My son-in-law returned the truck, so I have no input regarding the drop off. I rented a truck knowing I would need every inch of it. The stupid dolly tied to the inside wall of the truck lost usable space and caused more work and mileage as we had to make multiple trips. It's a horrible promotional gimmick and I didn't get the truck space I paid for. Additionally, I used a quarter of a tank and was charged $25 dollars. I could not find a gas station where the truck would clear the roof. The service was fine but to incur the additional costs I did on a 24-hr rental was a racket.BOBRA C.

The representative that I worked with did not have good customer service skills. After doing business with her, she didn't even say thank you. I believe she needs to go to customer service 101, you always think your customers they are the ones that putting food on your table. I asked her how long she's been with Uhaul and she said five years, she was very unfriendly. The vehicle I rented was a brand new vehicleAnd was excellent. We had rented U-Haul trucks from this particular store a couple of times and had great customer service, never a problem or issue. Our most recent experience was the complete opposite and I truly hope that it was not due to racial profiling that made this last recent rental a nightmare. When I arrived at the downtown Chandler office there was only an hour till close. The staff was outstanding. The assistant manager helped me back into a spot so my wife and I could unload. While unloading time was running out and instead of telling us to wrap things up we are closing the gentleman who check equipment in helped us unload. This type of service was great. -Need better lighting; area of my unit was pitch black. -Need to be better descriptive online; I didn't know that the units were actually are the back of the truck ,just laid on the ground. Having unit in a pitch black and the gate being left open due to non-operational is really creepy for me (woman) to be there by myself! So it really depends on the size unit Someone would need if I would recommend this facility and if they're lighting has not changed on if it's a woman that needed a unit at the facility! This location very nice! However my experience with u- haul has been absolutely awful!! Your call center numbers are use less my stuff was missing for a month with no one that could get in touch. I would not use the u boxes again because of the HORRIBLE customer service. I suggest getting more bodies at your actual location and get rid of the phone so called " customer service" people.
