The employees I dealt with very very helpful and professional, so this is NOT an employee problem. Your company is extremely difficult to work with. Your automated telephone system is extremely time consuming and difficult to navigate. Your wait time to speak with a real person is totally unacceptable. The amount of time that it takes you to get a return call is equally unacceptable. I waited over an hour for a return call through your automated system and then it hung up on me. On a second try I waited 18 minutes for a returned call. Your check in / return system that must be done electronically wouldn't work because it kept telling me that my location services was not on when in fact it was. I Finally got to a real person and she was able to check the trailer in. From start to finish I literally spent almost as much time searching navigating and returning the trailer on your systems than I actually spent renting and using the trailer. This was a terrible experience. Never again will I do business with you since you have elected to essentially have everything done electronically on a system that has NO consideration for the value of your customers time.

The passenger section of the truck was filthy. I had to clean all of the seats; there was a used chapstick in the console. I think the previous renter was a landscaper because there was a lot of dirt, leaf, grass type of mess. The inside of the storage area was very clean. When we pulled out the ramp, there were clumps of cut grass.

While I believe U-Haul IT systems need some serious updating (they've failed me miserably in the past), your U-Box program is OUTSTANDING! It's great value. The containers worked very well for my cross country move. Much easier than renting a trailer and driving cross country. I seriously recommend if you are not going to hire a full service mover, using U-Haul U-Box containers is a great option.

I never received a statement of what was actually charged, so I haven't been able to submit it to my boss for reimbursement. My understanding is that the bill was based on the number of miles so I can't use the invoice from before booking.

Drive the truck before renting it the transmission took forever to shift witch burns too much gas I put gas in it and returned it where the gas gauge was went I rented it and still got charged for gas when I returned it and got a smart ass remark did you take a picture of the gauge before you left the lot the gauge dropped as I left the lot I only drove it for 19 miles and put 8 gallons in before returning it and got charged 11.00 more when I returned it scam never again

Overall it was outstanding. My one issue was the size of the vehicle and the challenges driving around Danbury. I had to turn around several times because of low bridges, which was not easy. I would recommend discussing this with customers and providing a map for routes in different directions.

Currently I am rating the INITIAL intake and sign-on experience. Lisa who helped me was beyond informative, helpful, and kind. I'm so grateful for the way Tony at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Danbury helped everything go so smoothly yesterday when we unloaded two trailers (one after a cross-country drive!) and moved into a storage unit at the facility here in Connecticut. Tony was polite, efficient, fair, and good at his job, but more than that, I was struck by his warmth - talking to him, you know he wants to help you. What I'd anticipated would be a stress-filled day of tight connections and challenging logistics turned into a joy. From little things like recommending the best products for protecting our mattress and sofas to helping to quickly resolve a billing question, Tony really was the cherry on top of a two-week cross-country moving odyssey. My wife and I felt so taken care of, to the point that we were sad to say goodbye to Tony when our storage unit move-in and trailer returns were complete. I really can't thank him enough for the way he conducts business. Tony is a credit to the U-Haul organization, and deserving of every accolade it can muster.
