Another positive U-Haul experience, the convenience is tough to beat. Just remember to return during open hours if possible to avoid the $20 fee, and make sure the return is logged in before you take off.

I have rented many vehicles over the years, including multiple U-Haul rentals, and this was the 2nd worst experience ever. Their extremely slow and arduous check-in process was ridiculous. Never had to do so many steps and extra procedures, as in this instance. By the time I waited 45 minutes in line, and then went through the process, this delayed the rental by 1 hour. I had a similar rental with same type of reservation at a Newbury Park location last month, and took about 5 minutes. Quick pic of my drivers license and done. I am guessing this location had a problem, and now everyone has to be treated like a criminal to rent a truck. It was just ridiculous. If I rent from U-Haul again, I will always call the location in advance to see if they have this stupid check-in process like this location.

The owner and staff were awesome. Friendly, helpful, courteous. The equipment was just fine. Only a little difficult to move around the lot with traffic from other renters.

When he asked for emergency contact he did not say he was also going to call it. A heads up or notice he was going to call it would have been nice so that I could send a text or call and let the person know they will be getting a call. I found that extremely inappropriate. He did not have permission to call, it was said to be “in case of an emergency.” Not to verify and in case of emergency.

No dolly was included even though I paid for it. A lock was still on the back of the van and delayed my move by 2 hours, resulting in my missing my move in time.

The vehicle I drove had a littel over 115,000 miles on it. It ran well, but could use shocks and springs in the front end. The checkin line was a littel long, given that it was Memorial Day, and another person or two at checkin would have been beneficial. The check in process took about 30 minutes to even get to the front of the line. Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

Even though I checked in on-line, I had to wait almost an hour to pickup my trailer. The process of checking in is extremely slow. It's almost as bad as the DMV!

Cargo Van was not clean but I wasn't expecting to pick up a beautiful vehicle. I needed a Cargo Van for a few hours and what I got did the trick. Pick up and return was excellent. No complaints.

I felt like I was at the DMV. Serviced was not goid other then the truck cane out fairly fast. But the attitude and unfriendly people were something that can improve by hiring someone other then anyone at the counter. These people were terrible and I'll do everything to not give them business again.

At the return, they tried to charge me for an ‘extra hour' and keep my deposit I had to put on the trailer. Very disappointed with the matter of fact charging. The lady there only relented when I objected.

7 am reservation, online check in. Waited in line until 7:30, and the most infuriating part is they were helping a intercompany UHaul transfer while paying customers sat waiting. Had to wait as their only crew loaded him up too. Putting customers first is pretty simple, and after unnecessary delays in customer service, it's pretty much imperative.

Made a reservation for a 10' truck and when it was ready after 30 minutes of waiting, an employee parked it in front of me and walked away. I used the pre-check photos and website which was very helpful. When I got to my destination there was a gold padlock on the rear door and I had no key. That's not even the worst problem. I called and was on hold for 10 minutes, then the call center answered. They gave me the managers number which was incorrect. The person said I had the wrong number. Someone from the store called me back and said to just “break the lock”. I said I'm not a locksmith and do not want to damage the door. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she can reimburse me for miles, and I said thats not helpful since it was such a waste of time due to their mistake. She abruptly ended the conversation by saying “sorry, have a good day byeeee” in a completely rude and condescending manner as she hung up. I normally don't even write negative reviews but this was beyond annoying and unacceptable. Luckily when I returned, she was gone and Nick was able to help me. He was very friendly and helpful.

The only available truck was the 26-foot truck, which the employee assured me was pretty much just like driving any other car as long as you got the back tires around the turns. Once I got in the truck, the cupholder was broken (not that I had a cup to hold), and I realized very quickly that driving it was much more like driving a boat than driving a car. I was stressed for the whole time I had it rented, and couldn't wait to get it back. Will not be renting anything above 15' again.
