Taheem was amazing and very helpful. My only complaint has to do with ordering a hitch. I placed the order 3 weeks ago, it is never came in. I was not told at the time of placing the order that the item was on backorder and would not come in on time. I was able to purchase a hitch from another store, it came in the very next day. I used the online order and check in process. It worked great. I wasn't sure that my online check in worked but when I got to the site to pickup my trailer, everything was ready. The attendant helped me hook up and I was on my way. Returning the trailer was even easier. I can't think of anything to change except confirmation that the online check in completed successfully. My pickup location was in Concord North Carolina both girls at the counter were extremely rude I was told one price at $379 for the rental and then when I got there they charged me double taxed and wind up being $420 and some change they also had to switch out a trailer cuz the Jack wouldn't work and never updated on paperwork so we had to drive out of our way to drop it to a different location here in Lititz, pa the gentleman in lititz PA was absolutely wonderful I will recommend him but not the one in North Carolina.KELLY P.
I checked in after the main office hours and I was told that a lock would be *INSIDE MY UNIT* when I arrived. Not only was that NOT the case, but when I pushed the call button for the supposed "24 HOUR ASSISTANCE" inside the facility, nothing happened. This doesn't make me feel secure or that anyone is actually going to assist me if there is a major issue. Moreover, the locker that I was rented has a GAPING HOLE between the top of it's wall and the ceiling, such that anyone who isn't particularly obese and wanted to climb into the unit could easily do so... especially with the movable ladders the facility provides... and the fact that the sliding glass door that is SUPPOSED TO BE SECURE was just opening and closing with motion (just my walking up to it). Oh--and the access code that I was sent DIDN'T WORK. It kept saying "DENIED".Joseph M. | Online Move In
When truck was picked up the mileage was more than 3000 over what was stated on the rental papers I pointed it out and was told they would fix it in the system they did not. This is the second time I have went to this location and the equipment I had reserved for pickup was not available! THE SECOND TIME IN A WEEK! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had to settle for a different style trailer that did not fit my needs! I am completely disappointed and will tell everyone what has transpired again for the second time! Coordination with the Storage location for the delivery of our U-boxes seemed good initially, but got confusing with each person that we spoke to other than the General Manager. On the delivery day, the U-boxes were not ready for pick up at the designated time, and the movers were told U-Haul did not have the number of double trailers it promised to have ready for the moving company to pick our U-boxes. Our relocation address is 1 hour from the facility, making it impossible to move/unload/unpack 11 U-boxes using a single trailer in 6-8 hours. Some goods were damaged inside of the containers before the movers unloaded them. The U-Box program needs reevaluating, for interstate moving, adequate equipment, customer service/support, 3rd party moving companies to name some aspects for consideration.TyAnne T.

My contact information was associated with someone else. The error was supposed to have been corrected at this location when I checked-out the equipment. When I arrived home and checked my receipt the address was wrong. I called the number on the receipt and spoke with a representative. She assured me it was corrected. I returned the trailer around 6:20pm. The employee said he would email the receipt. It never happened. I called the number again (the next day), the representative said the trailer was still showing and not being returned yet and she couldn't correct the address. I went to the store. The employee said she couldn't change the address and I need to have it changed at my next reservation. This was my first time using U-Haul and possibly my last.JOEY W.

I paid for a climate controlled unit, only to find out the a/c is broken in bldg A, and it was 102° in the building. And the location is/was aware and did not communicate that issue. Also, the website states you receive a lock with your storage unit, only to be told I would have to pay for the lock instead. I am very disappointed with this location. There was a lady that really tried to help we were given a unit that was already taken. Got all our stuff up to the unit & couldn’t get into our assigned unit because it was already a lock on it. At this time Uhaul was closed because we rented our unit a little bit before closing. Went back downstairs to the office fortunately we were able to get in because someone else was having issues. As soon as we walked in another lady not the one that had assigned us the unit said we’re closed I said I was just assigned a unit that has a lock on it she said oh well you have to come back tomorrow. I said but all my stuff is up there on pallets. The worst customer service experience I have ever received from any business. Management is not attentive to customer concerns and makes no effort to address any issues reported. I used your location @ 855 Concord Parkway S. for storage. I also used a Charlotte location for the truck to move into storage at Concord and the service was equally horrible. Charlotte waited until I was on my way to pick up my reserved truck to tell me they didn't have it so I had to drive 30 miles to get one. I get to Concord and they don't have the unit ready so I wait an hour only to be told it wouldn't be ready until the next day. I had to leave my life packed on the truck in the parking lot at Uhaul and miss work. The next day when I arrived back at the site (Concord) only to be told the unit still wasn't ready. I was basically told I would have to take two smaller units instead. When I checked out on 5/28 a lot of my items were destroyed and broken which I convinced was due having to cram everything into a smaller space. I cried a lot while unpacking because the lack of concern that was shown for things I have worked hard to have. Not to mention the sentimental value. I hope this helps in some way to change the way Uhaul treats their customers so that no one walks away feeling the way I have felt during this process.Chastity B. | Overall Experience

I rented the unit on-line, then asked at the desk for more information. One of the clerks took me to the entry and showed me how it worked by using the keypad. He also said I would be getting a key card to use. He left and I showed my sons where the unit was, then went down to unload the trailer; however, the loading door would not open. I walked back to the office and a clerk said she would be over to help shortly. After waiting 10 minutes, I found another clerk who said they forgot to open it that morning and he would let them know. In a few minutes it was opened. I went back to the office to get some moving wrap, tried to pay cash, and no one had a cash drawer, so I had to use my card. When I asked the clerk when I could get a key card, she created it right then. I don't know why the first clerk couldn't do it. This facility is understaffed. The staff may be friendly if they weren’t so busy so I will say they’ were friendly in this review. Every time I went into the facility there was always a line of people waiting to be serviced. The last time the system was down. I had problems with management removing the insurance charge from my account. I brought my homeowners insurance to them twice. My unit was in the back where the swipe check in/out pad was ALWAYS messed up. I called and complained 2 times and heard nothing back from anyone. Its an inconvenience to not know if you can check in the box near your unit or you have to drive to the front check in there, then drive to your unit in the back. No one sent an email to the customers whose units were in the back to let us know to please chek in @ the front until further notice. Its a simple communication issue I'd say. As far as the staff they are pretty much ok. Yesterday Dec 2 everyone was great! A few times I've come and complained about the check in/out box not working and they seemed uninterested. The access readers were broken several times. At one point there were homeless people in the storage building walking around and in the bathroom. I had a unit for 10-11 months and the alarm would always go off ever time I opened it. On many occasions I was unable to get into the building during open hours. Something wasn’t working on either the doors, the check in box or the unlock boxes. On other occasions the employees had placed locks on my unit stating that I had not paid, then apologized when realized that I have automatic withdrawal and always paid on schedule. But this repeated again. Basically staff was nice but every time I wanted to get in my unit there was an issue that had nothing to do with me, but it stopped me from getting into my unit. I rented a both a truck and a unit on Friday the 9th. I requested a 10x10. Went to unit. Swipe card did not work. Came back to desk. Associate walked me down to unit. Discovered that unit that was rented to me should not have been due to the fact that the roof was leaking. That was the last 10x10 available. Had to settle for 8x10. I went to that unit and there was a lock on the unit. Walked back up the hill. At that point I decided to take the rental truck home and start loading up to come back hoping that when I do come back all will be taken care of. It was. The only reason I rented the unit from U-HAUL is that you were running a 1st month free program. If that wasn’t the case I’d go elsewhere.Michael L. | First Impressions
Although most of the staff have been great in assisting me, I have had problems with this particular Uhaul facility from day one. System failures and lacking updates has each shift doing different from the other. The people at the customer service desk were overall pretty terrible. Had some miserable younger heavyset woman help me at first, I had never been there before and she treated me like an idiot. The staff at the desk weren't wearing masks but they made the customers wear them. If they did have them on they were under their nose. I hired movers when I got to the storage facility we couldn’t get in and had to go back the next morning. I was charged for one hr. Which was $90 dollars and $228 overnight storage fee.
