Truck was dirtly and parts (like a door handle) were loose. Online pre-registration was a waste of time. Why take a picture of my license and upload a ton of stuff to secure the vehicle if I have to do it all again when I get there. Also, they charged me for 2 days rent when I didn't even have it 12 hours, let alone 1 day. Awaiting a callback on this issue.

Gentleman behind the counter believe his name was Austin became aggressive and abusive. He threatened to call the police to have me removed. I asked to see the manager and had been waiting for over an hour only to find out the manager was eating lunch I could have checked out via my mobile account but the mileage on the app was incorrect by 100 miles. I asked Austin if the manager was available since I observed him talking to someone in the break room he said lowell was eating. I reminded him I had been there for over an hour and asked him if he could ask the manager to help me. Austin yelled what do you want me to do and I replied ask your manager to help me. I commented that I felt this was poor customer service and became aggressive stood up out of his chair and yelled leave or I will call the police. Even while speaking to the manager Austin was still rude and disrespectful. The manager never asked him to stop. After 1.5 hours the manager corrected my charged.

I asked to reserve an appliance dolly and there wasn't one when I arrived. They gave me a regular dolly which I had to pay for. The cost of the mileage and asking me the miles wasn't communicated when I first called either to prepare me for the true cost.

I returned the equipment the next day. Then I got a bill for returning the equipment late. When I actually had 3 more days left to return the equipment. That is just the least of the whole episode. I will never use UHaul again. Was a dreadful experience.

When I arrived to give the truck back they were closed when they should have been open. There was even someone that was trying to get a truck but couldn't because it was closed. I did do the self check in and it worked fine.

I rented this trailer 2x in one week. The first time I e-checked in and still waited an hour in line to pick up the equipment. The return was easy. The trailers right turn signal was out, I decided to rent it anyway since it was just a local move. The second time I rented the trailer three days later, I e-checked in as well and still had to wait a while, but about 20'minutes. However, upon returning the trailer on the same day 3 hours later there was no one to be found to return the trailer. We waited over 45 minutes for someone to come unhook it and they just kept saying the person was in the bathroom. So 8 months pregnant, unhooked the trailer, let the person inside know I did it and returned the item and she said ok she'd take care of it. Unfortunately no one did take care of it and I got billed for an extra day that I still have no resolution on. I have rented trailers and trucks from Uhaul for the last ten years and have never had an experience like this store.

Possibly a more seamless process for those that reserve online. I called that morning and was advised by one of the reps to reserve storage online which I did. When I got to U-HAUL it took over 35+ minutes to complete my getting access to the facility. I would assume if I am reserving online, the process would be a lot faster once I arrive. Key would have been made and working. Storage unit picked out ahead of time.

waited a very long time for someone to come to the equipment return tent. SEVERAL employees walked by seeing me waiting to return my trailer but none of them helped. ultimately had to self check out using the website. very unprofessional and unhelpful. this location should be shut down if they continue this rude behavior.

Terrible service. I was not briefed on anything. They didn't tell me I had to put gas back how I originally found it or what level it was suppose to be. They did not tell me I would be charged per milage. I found all this out as I was returning during after hours doing the self process. I'm skeptical about doing uhaul again going forward but if I do decide to it definitely will not be from this location. Associates don't have a clue as to what customer service is or what they're job responsibilities is because I would think you'd brief the customer on the expectation and fees. If you care about customers please do better.

Lowell and the woman at the counter in the morning were great! The woman at the counter in the evening who did not have a name badge was disrespectful and ignorant towards myself and other customers. She sat at the counter socializing with other workers ignoring customers. If not for her the review would have been excellent. It took over 40 minutes for me to get a receipt for the truck I returned.

Despite having checked in online I waited 30+ minutes for someone to come to the office. The worker confirmed I was to receive a hand truck and furniture pads then did not put them into the trailer. Every experience I've had at this location has been substandard. I came to the store at 7 am several weeks ago for moving supplies. Despite advertised hours beginning at 7 am, no one opened the store until 8 am. An hour of my day wasted.

It would have been 5 stars if I had got a receipt for my rental agreement. All I got was the statement from where I returned the dolly showing a "0" balance due. I have nothing showing what I Paid other than my cc statement.

Everything was perfect until I realized this morning I am being double charged for my rental and the customer service representative claims it's a part of the contract I signed to be double charged not to mention I still have not received a refund for the items purchased ahead of time for my reservation that I did not receive in store as I thought I would, but they happily charged me another $85.00, so now I am having to dispute the second charge with my bank and will be requesting a refund via the bank with 3 business days if my refund does not post to my card. I will not use UHAUL in the future nor would I recommend this company anymore as this is completely unacceptable!!

MAke sure you have tie downs you can use. We reserved a certain trailer cause of the doors. When they rented this trailer out to someone else besides us. We were left with 3 choices 2 which didn't have proper tie downs, the other didn't look bad so we used it. Trailer was filthy when we picked it up, the trailer brakes didn't work. they were supposedly gonna give me $20 back on my rental...still waiting for manager to contact me. Drive down the road and get better service.

I received a call for a credit of 40 something dollars to find out they changed me almost 80 for a raggedy uhaul that delayed my move delayed me returning the truck and cost me extra money for my movers. The customer service person on site said they would have the truck serviced so I know there's a work order for it and I was double charged on my card and not fully refunded uhaul has been in business to long to be this messy.

First truck i tried had a broken heat and air system. The second truck they replaced the first with had the rear door unlatched and hand trucks rolling around unsecured. Shows a lack of concern for the trucks.

I was quite disappointed to see that the management and most of the staff did NOT follow mask guidelines for the prevention of spread of COVID-19. 3 of 4 employees when I arrived were either not wearing a mask or not wearing it correctly, ie only covering their chin and mouth. The manager arrived while I was being helped; not wearing a mask. When I returned the auto hauler the manager was sitting at the front counter eating. Most of the employees, including the manager Ms. Kenisha Watkins, demonstrated a lack of respect for the customers and for each other in behaving like this. In the future I will be looking to other companies in the area to provide my moving supplies.

Returning my truck was great no issues or complaints... Picking up the truck was horrible service. I stood there and waited 5 minutes while 5 to 6 employees seen me waiting and continued there personal conversation. None were helping anyone and couldn't even get me coming In the location or while waiting... If I were sure I could go else where and get what I needed I would have... then after almost completing the rental I'm told there are no dolly and I reserved one with my truck... just horrible experience during an already high anxiety time

Location staff fine. Corporate policy sucks. Got a four day trailer rental online for discount price of about $30 as long as I returned to same location. Picked up trailer at 515 wed, returned at around 630 Sunday. About an hour late (location closed at 5 pm anyway). Charged additional $22 for an hour. For a $33 four day rental. Really stupid in general but especially when it's after hours dropoff anyway. Or the extra day charge shud have fallen under the discounted rate which was approx $8 per day. Not full price rate at $22 per day.

The cab of the 20' truck reeked of cigarette smoke. Original pick up location was on Spring Street in Concord. Upon arrival for pick up, equipment was not available. Staff located a 20' truck at the Concord Pkwy S location and offered a discount for the inconvenience. No discount was given at the Concord Pkwy location.

PRIOR to renting vehicles, verbally inform EVERY customer that the after-hours return procedure requires starting the vehicle before completing the return. It is so illogical to return a vehicle while it's running that I consider it your sole and complete responsibility to state this VERBALLY before completing a vehicle rental. AND, this verbal instruction should ALSO include telling every customer that he or she needs to read the after-hours return policy in order to properly perform one, and thus avoid paying the (unjust?) $20.00 fee to have a U-Haul employee verify the vehicle return. That fee should be disclosed up front, not left to the customer to (maybe) discover in that ridiculously small print that people like me struggle to read (that means people who have needed corrective lenses for years or decades).

I’m germaphobic due to my professional background and not once was bothered by the conditions of the facility or the bathroom which speaks high volumes of cleanliness!!! My unit was in the back where the swipe check in/out pad was ALWAYS messed up. I called and complained 2 times and heard nothing back from anyone. Its an inconvenience to not know if you can check in the box near your unit or you have to drive to the front check in there, then drive to your unit in the back. No one sent an email to the customers whose units were in the back to let us know to please chek in @ the front until further notice. Its a simple communication issue I'd say. As far as the staff they are pretty much ok. Yesterday Dec 2 everyone was great! A few times I've come and complained about the check in/out box not working and they seemed uninterested. I called and they said someone would call me back and still nothing. Other than this I would say it was overall an average experience.

The access readers were broken several times. At one point there were homeless people in the storage building walking around and in the bathroom. I had a unit for 10-11 months and the alarm would always go off ever time I opened it. I talked to several "managers" who assured me the would fix the problem and they never did.

On many occasions I was unable to get into the building during open hours. Something wasn’t working on either the doors, the check in box or the unlock boxes. On other occasions the employees had placed locks on my unit stating that I had not paid, then apologized when realized that I have automatic withdrawal and always paid on schedule. But this repeated again. Basically staff was nice but every time I wanted to get in my unit there was an issue that had nothing to do with me, but it stopped me from getting into my unit. So was frustrating. Employees were nice though.

I rented a both a truck and a unit on Friday the 9th. I requested a 10x10. Went to unit. Swipe card did not work. Came back to desk. Associate walked me down to unit. Discovered that unit that was rented to me should not have been due to the fact that the roof was leaking. That was the last 10x10 available. Had to settle for 8x10. I went to that unit and there was a lock on the unit. Walked back up the hill. At that point I decided to take the rental truck home and start loading up to come back hoping that when I do come back all will be taken care of. It was. The only reason I rented the unit from U-HAUL is that you were running a 1st month free program. If that wasn’t the case I’d go elsewhere.

Although most of the staff have been great in assisting me, I have had problems with this particular Uhaul facility from day one. System failures and lacking updates has each shift doing different from the other. Damages, locks on free month, and emails threatening late payment fees and liens on my property have been more than enough issues being at this storage.

The people at the customer service desk were overall pretty terrible. Had some miserable younger heavyset woman help me at first, I had never been there before and she treated me like an idiot. The staff at the desk weren't wearing masks but they made the customers wear them. If they did have them on they were under their nose. The lady that was maintenence/custodial with short hair was a very nice lady I talked to multiple times.

Poor customer service. Employees on phone instead of servicing customers, could not tell us another location of additional equipment we needed, could not resolve the damage claim made on items in a storage unit that had a leaking roof that was not repaired nor was our items replaced under the insurance claim. I am comparing my experience to CubeSmart. I reserved a ground floor climate controlled unit on line. When the rep took me to the unit it was already rented to someone else. She then gave me a smaller second floor unit. The line was too long for me to wait to get the problem corrected so I just settled for what I got. I rented three units from Cube Smart and there was no line, no wait and everything I got exactly what I reserved. Cube Smart employees all wore masks and were very aware of Covid. Your employees did not wear masks and unfortunately non of the customers standing in line inside the store did either.

Last 2 Sunday’s have been a problem. Main sliding door not opening. 1st Sunday young man took his sweet time getting it unlocked. Last Sunday’s,nice young lady took care of it, she was very pleasant and explained why. The guy there on Sunday was not friendly.

I hired movers when I got to the storage facility we couldn’t get in and had to go back the next morning. I was charged for one hr. Which was $90 dollars and $228 overnight storage fee. Uhaul couldn’t find me in the system even though I had my paper work. I have called the manager and to response from phone or email. Thanks

They charged me for a cleaning fee that was $25 and they took pictures of the dirt that was on the floor mat on the driver's side. Then they charged me $21.40 for a after hours return fee for the uhaul truck. I got the truck from April 2nd to the 8th and I returned it on the 4th?? So I really don't think I should have been charged for that, or any charges especially when there guy manager took us that we did good and nothing was going to be charged to my card.

At no point was I told I had to have a round lock until I was already checking in and they're with my merchandise. So I had to leave my personal belongings in the storage unit overnight unlocked because there was nothing open do the seats new hours regarding Cov- 19virus. When I received the truck in Salisbury it was dirty it had less than 3/4 of a tank and then they charged me because she mismarked the gas when I first got the truck. she didn't do a walk-through with me she just gave me the keys didn't check the fuel to see that it differed from what was marked on the paper. So then they charge me for fueling when I put it back as to where it was when I first got the truck. I also had to clean the truck from the previous person because they gave me a dirty truck. and if that wasn't enough they charge me for mileage when she told me it was unlimited up to 50 miles because it was a one-way rental. So next time I think I'll have to go see Penske or somebody else because this end up costing me more than they would have charged me not to mention all the headaches from the moment of getting the truck or trying to get it it was a big nightmare and it continued on to the storage unit. So no I would have to give you less than one star. I had been renting from U-Haul for over 30 years and this was very disappointing not to mention costly of time and money. the only one I can say that was nice was when I picked up the truck the lady was nice and the lady was nice at the U-haul center in the morning of the 29th however the man in the evening of the 28th was very, let's put it this way you could tell he didn't want to be there. Very dissatisfied customer a 30-year customer and you guys blew it on a truck rental and a storage rental.
