this was a disaster for uhaul, though they got my ubox close they never did get it where they promised and tried gaslighting me in the process, my order was changed without notifying me and I'm quite glad i kept my original copy. the location i loaded was fine, actually great, after that it went downhill. My ubox wasn't delivered to the correct location and i was never notified, nor was i ever sent or given a detailed reciept and i was told "it's not that far to the other store". the other store was a disaster, they had no boss on site, no one to retireive my ubox and literally had no idea who to call. a uhaul repair team passing by was able to retrieve my box and moved it outside where they left it so i could unload. Add in multiple hangups while trying to locate my ubox and a rude and insulting email insisting i was wrong when i had written proof has left me quite unsatisfied. all in all, not thier finest hour.david G.

A better job at cleaning the vehicles interior cab as well as the truck itself. Also the scanning of a bar code on the building was a first for me as I did and mostly do after hour returns. This was a hassle and did not operate well on the website, atleast on my phone. This was never needed in the past and a headache, to have to go to the building then back to the truck then back to the building again to drop off the keys. As I was leaving, I had to help another 2 people that were having issues with this same thing as well. It was never like this before and a lot less aggravating.Robert C.

Started my morning at the Adventure Center location in Fort Lauderdale. Arrived to pick up my rental truck at 9:45 am. This location opens at 10 AM. I wanted to be the first customer of the morning so I wouldn't have to wait. I noticed there was no truck waiting. After speaking to the agent i was told there were no available trucks. I had a confirmed reservation. I was told that they were looking for a truck for me and that it could take hours to find if at all. I was scheduled to move out of an apartment that morning. Everything was packed and I had movers coming to help. I also had a storage facility that I had to reach that was 2 hours away before 5PM. I went home and received a call from Uhaul about an hour and a half later. I was told there was an available truck 30 minutes away from our location. I agreed to go pick up the truck at 12:30 PM. Upon arriving at the facility I had to wait in-line because there was only one person working. It took at least an hour to get everything set. I was told that truck was in the garage. As soon as I pulled out of the dark garage I could see that the whole windshield was cracked. I mediately went back inside and told the girl. Then I was told there was no more available trucks. Out in the garage I had seen that there were multiple trucks. At least 10. The agent then try to find us a truck at another location. I was told the only truck available was in Miami. There was no way I was going to Miami. I finally got the agent to call her manager and switch one of the in town rental trucks that we're outside to a one-way rental. By the time i was home with the rental it was 2:30 pm. I lost my moving help on both ends of the move. This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. For all this aggravation all I received was 4o free miles. I should at least be reimbursed for the extra half tank of gas that I left in the tank. It's very hard to do judge how much gas will be needed.Mallory W.
On 12/31/2021 Uhaul at Coconut Creek location overcharged us by $66.58 for fuel fee and charge. However, we returned the truck with the same fuel level as at the time we took the truck. We will argue this with stopping by and calls to this Uhaul office. We rented several times at this location, and noticed that the fuel level on paper exceeds a little the real fuel level shown on the dashboard. Once before this Uhaul location overcharged us for the 1 extra day of Rental, just for us being late 10 min on the vehicle return.ILYA P.

Had to wait an hour to get my vechile. Only one young lady working the desk. Then after waiting my vechile had a dead Battery. And this was with a reservation. Cheri is fantastic to work with and very accommodating to my needs. She is an outstanding manager at this facility. Pickup and drop off of the truck was flawless. The place is immaculate and there is under cover area for drop off and pickup with ample carts to use to move your goods. Prices are very competitive. I was originally using the Public Storage about a mile away which was a dump. There was hardly ever a responsible individual at the front desk and the place was never taken care of. Dirty facility, they only had two carts and you had to walk a quarter mile to sign one out and then return it. Terrible experience, not to mention how ridiculously overpriced they were for the same size unit. Uhaul storage is a welcome change and huge upgrade for a lot less money. My unit was not ready for move in as I was told it would be. I moved all of my stuff out, packed it up and into my car just to move it into the storage unit. When I arrived, there was no lock on, inside or near the storage unit like I was told there would be. This was the worst moving experience I had. First, I was called less than 12 hours from when I was supposed to pick up the truck that my truck was unavailable at 8 am and would be available at 11:45 am. Then at 11:45 am I call and they said it won't be available until that night. They did finally upgrade me to a larger truck that I picked up at 12:30 pm, but the truck was disgustingly dirty in the cup holders, obviously no one had cleaned it. Nice, new, clean, large location for truck rental. I tried to do the express pickup with the U-Haul app, but there were some issues so I'm fortunate the office was still open. I think the app could be updated to provide better clarity. Also, I did not need a hand truck, but there is one in the truck anyway. If you use it, you have to pay for it. They know you used it because the plastic tie will be broken. I did NOT need to use it, but it was in the way for the last item I needed to put in the truck, so I ended up having to break the plastic tie just to move it out of the way. Poor placement of the hand truck in the back of the truck. Otherwise, smooth and pleasant process.Pedro S.

Both the truck and the storage unit I asked for 3 weeks in advance were not available and I had to downgrade which added more mileage and time to my day. Absolutely rude. I was told I could access my un any hour of the 24 hours in the day at 3 am when I needed to move into. A gentlemen employed by U-Haul sent me a ;link to complete the payment information which was then suppose to supply me with an access code to be on my way. 3 hours into phone calls with multiple reps I am made aware this is not the case. My reservation unit and payment was to include a free lock for my unit. That was never made available to me, Ive emailed and contacted regarding this and have since had no correspondence. Cherie was very helpful getting us checked in. The only thing that could use some improvement is the unloading and loading area. It can get very congested and many of the folks that use storage facilities tend to be unsavory and inconsiderate people especially when parking and blocking the loading entrance. Today there was a bunch of trash strewn at the entrance to the elevator and a skinhead looking guy standing right by the door smoking a joint in front of everyone. It’s my 3rd time using this store. I booked a 20ft truck and reserved a 10x10 unit on the 1st floor before I left. I received confirmation that the unit on the first floor was available. When I went to get into the truck the person told me it was in the “garage” so I went looking for it, after several minutes of walking I was not able to find it because it wasn’t there, it was in the other side of the building so you can understand I was a little frustrated. After a long day of moving, my help and I arrived back to unload and place everything in the unit I had made the reservation in the 1st floor, we started unloading and bringing about 2 trips inside just to find out that the unit was still occupied!!!!! Horrible! I went back inside and the woman said it happens often, well it’s unacceptable! We had to load everything back and drive to the side of the building to store in the 2nd floor.
