I had an online reservation apparently I entered my phone number wrong. I waited till the store front opened went in for help. The person who I believe was the manager was completely rude because I made a minor mistake with the phone number and literally put in the bare minimum to help us. I asked questions about moving kits and straps she never even looked away from the screen. Her attitude was as if we were bothering her even being there. I spent hundreds of dollars there and she couldn't be bothered to help us. So we bought our other moving supplies from home depot. Upon returning the vehicle I was charged 33 dollars for gas because the needle was 2 centimeters from when I left with the vehicle. (I put the recommended gallons in it wasn't enough. I paid the 33 bucks without arguing because I just wanted to be done with the awful expirence. I am very friendly and kind person I never argued with anyone. I don't understand the reason for the rudness. Moving is already a stressful experience the uhaul store made that expirence that much worse.CLAYTON JAMES A.

The on-line elements are fine, but when contacting U-Haul, I found the personnel minimally helpful. Since I would not be present myself at the move-in, the case didn't fit the normal conditions and one person told me "see on-line." Later, another said, "We can't do that [i.e. secure the locker for a couple of days prior to move-in]" until I demanded it. Then she spoke with the supervisor who agreed to put a "red lock" on the unit until move-in day. Problem solved. Customer service was much above average. From the phones to the the very courteous front end, dock, to the fork lift drivers. I inquired to no less than 6 companies, that's what Dad taught me, after review, price, I chose. Side note- competition sent me a follow up email, â€œwe will beat the competition priceâ€, my reply was the truth.... they were beat... by $1,000.00, and after it was said and done, it seems on service and expectations. Website instructions regarding turn-in after hours is horrible. Very confusing. Says to scan and take a picture of barcode on the office window. When you do, it doesn't upload. You don't know if your equipment is turned in. The information in the pamphlet is confusing as well. says to take pictures and upload but doesn't state that you have to remain onsite to take the pictures and upload. Store employees were good. Corporate website isn't great, turn-in instructions after hours aren't clear and I waited on hold two hours to speak to a U-Haul rep. You need to fix this!Mark M.

Truck inside was full of snow and 1/4 inch of ice inside. Inside cab the windshield was dirty and looked like someone spit on it several places.GARY ALBERT M.
The U-Haul had only two metal rings on front corners on the floor for tie down. It was extremely difficult to use the small openings on the side bumper bars. Also, the location â€œgaveâ€ me a hand cart that I did not rent, though they tried to say I did, and I had to run it back the day I was due to leave because it was taking up room in the bed of my pick up that I needed for other things. Truck was pretty dirty and had several areas of damage on the truck and you should not have to pay an additional 20 dollars for your rep to check in the truck the next day. First auto transport trailer I rented had a wiring issue so I got switched over to another one. The second trailer was fine until I needed to strap down a vehicle and the straps were literally jammed up to the point where I fought with them to just barely get them open. When I finally got them open it was another battle pulling and pushing the strap with all my power to get the car strapped down. I had to make a stop to pick up some wd-40 just to be able to free the straps to unload the vehicle. It was a nightmare. I rent the auto transport trailers for my business all the time but this time was just unacceptable.NORBERT SHAWKAT K.
Worst location I have ever rented from. I was told something when I rented and then told something else when I returned the truck the girl who I turned my truck into was very rude and tried to be little me. I was told to bring the truck anytime before the location closes and as I cane and returned the truck I was told that I was a big ibconveniance to another family and that I ruined that family's day. Very unprofessional of the uhaul representative, as I was also waiting for the truck to be turned in I saw a man in a verbal dispute with the other respresentative at the location. I will never rent from this location again, every other uhaul location I have rented from was professional and accommodating but this location was third worldFERRIS HAZIM A.

The top of the truck had a lot of snow on it, which when melted, caused major dripping down the outside of the door, causing me to get drenched every time I got in and out. Aside from not being very clean, there were also several empty drink bottles left in the truck.SHANE HUNTER S.
I was pleased with the ease with which I was able to reserve equipment, and make changes to that reservation. All done the same day. Check in was very easy, upon returning the truck I was met in the lot by a staff member. All staff members with whom I had contact were polite and friendly. I was told that my truck was ready â€œin the 2nd lot overâ€ in spot BB1. Not a long walk but a very cold morning. Can't read Parkside spot #'s because they were snow cover. Go back to office and lady shows me another way to locate my rental, via number on the truck. When I finally locate my rental it was totally boxed in by six other trucks. On a day I needed to get in and out of there quickly, they couldn't make it happen. I had to wait around for the people to move trucks around so they can access my specific rental. Extreme annoying!!! Also, they incorrect noted my contract with regard to the amount of gas that was in the truck. Crazy expensive to tow a car to Indianapolis for one day.Jason R.
Your web online return application was the worst user experience I've had since windows 98 days. Once I got to the take a picture of the inside of the trailer, the app stopped working properly, making me try to take a picture about a dozen times, each time saying take a recent picture. Really, you can't wait 5 seconds. It's dark, I'm tired from moving, and this was really annoying...and that was the good part. Now I finally get the picture, unhook the trailer, and it wants another picture...and now your app puts the camera button half off the screen, making it impossible to click quick enough for the picture upload....so I call the number on the info packet, wait about 25 minutes (well waited 10 minutes and drove home while waiting the other 15 minutes). Finally I get through and then I get put to another agent that handles that. Why not just provide that number on your packet....the agent was very kind and checked in my trailer. But the thought of having to pay $80 cause your app doesn't work is crazy. the thought of trying to put the trailer back on my vehicle in the dark by myself to bring it back when your place opens is absurd. I would ask who wrote that application, who tested it and how many people before me complained. This is unacceptable to stay in business in the tech age we live in.EDWARDBRIAN P.
The truck itself needs some repairs. Headlights only work on brights, brakes are very squeaky, and the worse part is the ramp. It is busted and falls out if the track every time you use it. Took me 15-20 minutes each time I had to put it back. Was almost late returning the truck because of this issue. The people at the location were good and very friendly.Gary M.

When I reserved my unit online it said the unit was for a 1-2 bedroom home up to 1200 soft. I even called and talked to a young lady in the office that confirmed the details of the unit. The actual unit size was the size of a closet. I requested for the manager to call me and I never received a call. I screenshot the false advertisement for proof. It made the moving process 1000 times More difficult. I don't recommend reserving anything online, or calling to confirm details. You need to just go in and see the unit.Leah R. | Online Move In
I had extreme difficulties getting in touch with customer service to get assistance with issue after issue. It's hard to call directly into this location. The first issue was my uncleaned storage unit on move in day. I had to ask for a broom and clean it myself. I also had to ask for a new animal bate box because the one in my unit was apparently not replaced due to all of the cob webs and hugh white spiders that ran from it when I tapped it with the broom. Second issue, I would recommend Uhaul not sponsoring 'Moving Helpers' on your website. I paid over $300 hiring moving helpers for my storage move who never showed up. I then hired a second moving company from Uhaul's website and again, no show. I traveled from Florida to make this move happen in order to get my things loaded in the uboxes from the storage unit and spent over $1200 for this 1 day move and these moving helpers didn't even have curteousy to call to decline or reject the job through Uhaul's portal to give me an opportunity to look for help elsewhere. Needless to say, I went back to Florida without my things. Which leads me to my last issue. On the day of my arrival at Uhaul for my move out of the storage unit and into 3 unboxes for my out-of-state move, 2 out of my uboxes had no furniture covers that were to come with the uboxes. The third ubox had damaged hardware on the box that made it impossible for me to put a lock on it due to the hardware being bent and hanging on by 1 screw. It was a terrible experience! Had my moving help shown up, I couldn't have completed my move because I didn't have access to a third ubox that I paid for due to the broken hardware. This entire experience was a big negative for me. I don't think I'd recommend this location due to the poor attention paid to the ubox when delivering it and the nastiness of the storage unit that had all of those nasty white spiders and old bait animal box, but the unit was tagged saying something along the lines of cleaned and ready for customer. However, I must say that the employees who work here were extremely helpful and respectful, at least the ones I had direct contact and I know some of these issues were beyond their control, such as the third party moving helpers. My suggestion to new customers is don't use the third party helpers on Uhaul's website because if something goes wrong, Uhaul will be quick to dismiss your concerns and complaints telling you that they have nothing to do with the moving helpers and to contact them. Lastly, I did try to contact Uhaul to resolve this issue before leaving feedback. My issues were not resolved to my satisfaction mainly because I couldn't get customer service for both Uhaul and Movinghelp.com on the line after spending hours and hours on separate days trying to get help regarding my many issues.Sherita F. | Overall Experience

First let me say that, in this survey that I'm completing, Uhaul has my move in date WRONG. I hope I'm not being billed for the 5th when I moved in on the 8th. Lastly, my customer service experience with all of the employees working at the Clinton Township location and even the employees at your Roseville location were very knowledgeable and so helpful. The staff at Clinton Township made sure I understood the services being offered and were very patient when I had questions. The only reason for a 4-star and not a 5-star is because on move in day, my storage unit was tagged as available for move in (as if it were throughly cleaned and ready to go). My storage unit was NOT cleaned. It was evident when all of the white spiders ran from the pest control bate box that showed evidence that it was very old, covered in dust & spider webs and the unit itself was dusty and has spider webs. I had to call to the front office for someone to bring me a broom. Beth was prompt in coming over to assist. I opted to clean/sweep myself and Beth drove back to the office to get me a freshly made insect/pest box. She apologized for my unit not being properly cleaned and I was thankful for that.
