My box had a big hole in the back door. It was probably hit by a fork lift. One large wall art piece was smashed. The box was supposed to be ready for pickup for the movers. They waited over 2 hours.MARI L.

It just wasn't super clear where we could park. I also measured the storage unit and it's not truly 8 feet. When I went to find another unloading area, two cars were parked sideways taking up 4 spots. So we ended up parking at the front and our unit was all the way in the back. We didn't see any other unloading areas so if there were any, they weren't well marked and nobody showed us any. People (some were employees) were smoking out front so nobody was paying attention to them. The person who ended up helping us get in did explain the check in process, but again, not super clear from any email I got initially. I would recommend this because of the price and location but everything else was just a little frustrating.Rachel C. | Online Move In

I reserved a tow-dolly from the Wilma Rudolph store Clarksville Tn. on July 31st,- to be picked up at 9-am on August 8th I was told that they did not have one - but they said that they would let me know as soon as they got one for me. I never heard back from them. Getting worried because my purchase of this car was dependent upon me picking it up on Aug. 8th so- I called them back on the afternoon of Sat. Aug. 7th. I was told that they STILL did not have one for me to rent. I did eventually find one at the Providence Clarksville Tn. location - just before closing the night before I needed it.. To my surprise there were 6 or 8 tow-dollies there. Yet - the Wilma Rudolph location could NOT FIND ONE FOR ME. The last time I used the Wilma Rudolph location - I also had problems-! I had reserved a motorcycle trailer for another Sunday morning (9-am) earlier this year. They open at 9-am - so I was there at 8:45-am The guy with the key to open up the store didn't show up until just before 9::30 - looking all hung over & moving VERY slow. By then - there were quit a few people waiting to be helped. By the time I got out of there - it was 10:30 - putting me over an hour behind. Before I could get to pick-up my bike - some people flagged me down & told me that there were issues with the trailer. Sure enough - a safety chain came unhooked & was dragging on the ground as well as 3 feet of the wiring harness. Causing me to waste more time that I did not have to waste. Although I told U-HAUL about the issues with this store - they never responded. I wonder if they will this time. I won't be holding my breath-! I rent trailers 2 - 4 times a year - plus I'm getting ready to move out of state. Who do you think I should call-? Or better yet - Who shouldn't I call-? ? ?Roger P.

I don't know if it was this location or U-Haul corp but my reservation was changed from a 15' truck to a 20' truck without my knowledge or authorization. Not only was I delayed over 3 hours picking up truck (because of you) I had to pay $200 more than what I was supposed to because of 20' truck. When it came time to load car the installer attached the hitch and walked away. I had to climb thru my window to get out of car. I did not know until I arrived at my destination that the bar over wheel lifts up so you can open the drivers door.TRACY R.

They locked me out of my unit before I could move everything out, but they called me before doing so and were under the understanding that I would have everything out that night. We had to rush to finish packing up because it took the uhaul guy an hour and a half to show up so we could get the last load then stood over us watching us with his wife all the way till 10 o'clock. I had rented a motorcycle trailer to take my motorcycle to Gatlinburg and two days prior to my supposed return our trip was extended but I was told on the website that I was not allowed to extend my rental for the motorcycle trailer so I spoke to a general manager via chat on the website who assured me that it would be just fine to extend my rental and make sure that the card on file was up-to-date which I did. However I was continuously harassed for the next few days by the staff of the U-Haul company at this location who then called my grandmother to inform her that they were going to call the police and report the trailer stolen only two days after my rental agreement was up if I didn't return the trailer immediately which ruined my vacation and cut it short and really I shouldnt have been charged for a damn thing.William H.

This was the most infuriating experience I have ever had! Your customer service call-in system is absolutely ridiculous. One of my calls required three hours, nine different representatives, and two disconnects before finally arriving to the person who could help me. Another call had me waiting an hour before someone got to me. That needs to be improved upon immediately. Secondly, my signed contract with you was changed three different times (once without my knowledge until I received an updated email) which caused me to have to change my travel plans three times (flights, rental cars, and accommodations). After all the changes to my delivery and arrival dates, my items showed up 1.5 weeks early, and there was zero compensation for the agony and time wasted that Uhaul put me through. This entire situation was absolutely exhausting and moving is stressful enough. Get a better system put in place or remove your Ubox service entirely until you have rectified the system and procedures!TYLER R.

I made reservations for a 10×10 climate controlled. My reservations were lost i was stuck with a smaller non climate 10 steps high unit . Was yelled and denied van rental. This was an extremely well run Uhaul location. The premises was always clean and the climate controlled areas were actually climate controlled. This location was also free from bugs and other pests. I was also pleased with the wide selection and availability of rental trucks and trailers. The management team was also very polite and professional. This place is great. I kept a climate controlled unit for almost 4 months. Everytime I went the staff were very nice. Checking in and out was a breeze and prices aren't bad at all on controlled temp storage units. Moving in and out was easy with all the u-boat style carts they have for you to use.
