Above her abilities remarks: my unit'roofs leaked, so my belongings, many have been damaged, as well by rats. My door was damaged, was told it was fixed, but found out it was a lie Maintenance told me to fix the door, all my belongings would'd to come out. Best of irony, u-haul increased my rent over 113 dollars/months.

One star is because no one was available and the other star is for being frustrated and irritated with the problems I had. I had issues in raising the storage door and someone should be around to help customers when they have any issues with there units. I tried several times to try to raise the door with no success. I called the "Reagan"number on the call box twice. I got no answer. There was nobody around to help me. There was a blue car sitting in the driveway directly in front of Building "C" which I assumed someone lives upstairs above the storage unit in Building "C" because the front door was halfway opened. I even yelled up there for help. No one came to the door. Also, the "C" building below was closed as in lights were off and doors locked. Since I was unable to open the storage door and get help. I went back to the Uhaul office and got a refund. FYI...This happened on Sunday, November 13, 2022 around 3:30pm. I went to another Uhaul location at 2951 NE Expwy on the same day. I got a storage unit there instead. I had no issues at all. They were opened and people around to help me when I needed it. I was no longer frustrated and irritated.

It says it's climate friendly and your things should not get ruined. They would not reimburse me for my mattress at all after filing the claim. They was very rude on the phone like I was an inmate, he kept cutting me off when I spoke,explaining what my claim was about. Instead of helping me, I felt integrated. His name was Joshua Buzi. If you have to file a claim make sure it is not with him. They went up on my storage unit and I wasn't even in there a full year. My storage was not secured, the gate stay open 24/7 it do not work and neither do their security cameras. Do not choose them in Clarkston, you may want to go with another company. Do not get insurance it is a rip off.

Melini H | Overall ExperienceMy overall experience was fairly decent. I became homeless and was placed at a shelter, Rebecca's Tent. I needed a small space to keep a few things I was able to salvage. I obtained this storage unit around November 2019. However, around April 2020, the security alarm would blare extremely loud whenever I opened the door to my unit. Then, in May, the alarm would blare whenever I opened AND closed my unit door. My unit was located inside, which caused the echo of the alarm to intensify. I have Epilepsy, and this definitely was a trigger I had to avoid. I was constantly ensured by the resident manager that the problem was being handled. I was even provided an access card instead to use istead of my pin. The day I removed my items from the unit, which was not August 14, but in fact July 30, the alarm still went off. I called the store location on July 30 to inform them that I had retrieved my items and wanted to close my account, no answer. I even emailed the SAME resident manager and recieved no response. However, I get an email August 14, informing me of a late fee. I tried to call again, still no answer after waiting on hold for 30 freaking minutes. I simply responded to the email reiterating the exact same thing my first two emailes stated: I have retrieved my items, please close my account. Like I said earlier, My experience overall was fairly decent because I had somewhere to secure my items while obtaining stable housing. So thank everyone for their service.

This caused me concern, should anyone ever try to break into the unit. HOWEVER, the location is amazingly secure in general. So, I doubted that anyone was going to try that. And the staff was very, very, very (did I mention very?) very, customer friendly. I really loved that.

Rhonda REven though called repeatedly to confirm the reservation-was told no truck was available/on the premises after a 4 hour drive to the location. Even called an hour before arrival to confirm. When I emphatically stated I had confirmation via text - a truck magically appeared. Very odd. Also lots of add on costs. Even though drove straight to the home from which I was picking up (4 miles from the location) and drove directly back to my home-charged additional miles. Guess the detour at 75 and 285 - mike at most caused the overage? Also when reserving on the website-pickup location was supposed to call and discuss my travel needs to make sure my trip went smoothly-no call. I called 5:55 to confirm myself or 50.00 off. Was routed to a national call center. Generally-feel that the customer is held accountable-but did not feel the same level of accountability back from U-Haul. Glad I did the smaller move now. Informed my decision of cross country move coming up in the fall. Will not go this route again.

MENDE HThe customer service was great. Both reps nice and professional. I thought rentals were based on time you kept the rental. I payed over 120.00 for 29 hours which I thought was pretty steep. My rental was also cancelled accidently at one location directly across from the complex I was packing from resulting in a longer drive/mileage. No fault of my own but not compensated. The customer service at each location was great however.

DOUGLAS LI would say have more trucks available, but I should've reserved a truck prior to that day. So no complaints here, great customer service and at the end of the day I was able to rent a truck to move my things out of storage and into my new home.
