For one, I do not understand why you stand in line, go through the whole process of renting a truck and when you say you are paying cash you are told the next employee will have to ring you up cause that one doesn't take cash. Therefore, you have to wait on the other ones line and go through the whole process again. THEN when you say cash, you are charged more! I rented an appliance dolly and the young boy told me to drive to the side of the building and he would bring it right out. I did so and waited and waited until I finally asked a lady washing cars. She told me to go to the other side. I did and waited and waited, so I drove back around to the other side. Instead of the girl providing customer service like I was taught after I explained what the young man had told me to do and going inside and asking him, she just told me "I don't know, you need to be on the other side" and went right back to washing the car. I drove around to the other side one last time and went inside a little perturbed to fine the young man sitting on his stool talking with a fellow employee. When he saw me, he said "my bad", told me he would bring it out. Finally! I had already had done a reservation online and it said I would have to pay $60.00 at the store when I picked it up. At the store, I had to pay $160.00, plus went through all the headache! Get some grown ups in the store!Tonia V.

I thought I had been lied to by the rep who handled my return. The gas gauge was lower than I was told when I checked out the truck, but I corrected that in the online truck condition list -- and took a pucture of the gauge -- before I left with the truck. I only drove 18 miles on it, put $15 of gas (at $4.769/gal, so over 3 gallons) into it before returning it, making certain it was over the amount that was in it when I picked it up (close to halfway between 1/4 and 3/8 of a tank). After returning the truck, I realized he had charged me $10.62 for additional fuel, and the receipt said I had returned the truck with only 1/4 tank of gas. I don't know if he hadn't waited a second or two for the gauge to register properly (which I noticed took a second when I checked the gauge at the gas station after I put gas in), or if perhaps the slope of the lot was different between where the truck was parked when I picked it up, and where the drop-off spot is. But I went back in to question the charge and explained all this to the rep. The truck certainly would have gotten better than 6 MPG (it wasn't even halfway loaded), so the $15 I put in would have been more than sufficient. He went back out to recheck the fuel gauge, but didn't say anything more to me as I was waiting while he got back onto the computer. He eventually said he "put it back in there", which I took to be a credit back to my credit card, but he didn't gave me a receipt. I expected one to be sent to my email like the original was, but there wasn't one when I checked later. Credits normally take a couple of days and this transaction was on a Wednesday. But by Saturday there still was no credit showing on my account, not even "pending". So I was not at all happy and, like I stated initially, felt like I had been straight-out LIED TO by the rep. I was prepared to give a terrible rating to you because of this but figured I'd check my account again before providing a review, just to be certain I wasn't out of place. As it turns out, there WAS a credit made. (I was going to wait until tomorrow, after the holiday, to check again before doing this review, in case the weekend and holiday caused a delay, but the credit was there when I checked today). So because of this rep's willingness to correct the situation, I don't feel like I was "nickel-and-dimed" when I was certain I had returned the truck with sufficient fuel. That makes all the difference in the world.Rich J.

I have rented a trailer every year in June for the last 6 years as well as a few other times for misc trips. The first year I rented in June (2017) was okay until we were on the way home and blew a tire. They left us on the side of Ohio/Pa turnpike for 4 hrs and to make matters worse it was in a construction zone. I finally called AAA and they came to help us but every year since has been okay. This year's trailer was the best trailer I've ever rented! Very clean and better trailer brakes that any unit I've ever rented. It pulled great!Debbie C.

I had a reservation at a Morgantown location that was made over a month in advance. I get a call the day before that U-Haul does not have vehicles. They transferred my reservation to Uniontown, not convenient. Luckily, this location had a smaller truck. Please call sooner if their are problems.Alderson B.
I've rented from this location more than 10 times. The equipment and location is the cleanest I've ever seen at a U-Haul. Only issue I have is the U-Haul network the facility was using continued to give us problems. I was there for over 90 mins trying to scan my Drivers License. I ended up going online and reserving my trailer. We still had issues even after I made the reservation online and did the skip the line online check-in. After almost 2 hours we got it figured out.Matthew D.
This location is severely understaffed. The staff is indifferent to the needs of customers, and one may expect long lines for even the most simple requests. Uhaul has no real competition for the services they provide, and the attitude of "If you don't like it here, you can always go somewhere else" is very apparent.Michael A.

Check engine light was on. They told me that the fuel was on fuel and bring it back filled...However, after travelling ONE MILE, THE GAUGE WAS NOT ON FULL, BUT 1/2 BETWEEN FULL AND 7/8THS OF A TANK. I MADE THREE CALLS TO THE HELP DEPT. AND GOT CUT OFF THE FIRST TWO TIMES. The third time, I finally got ahold of the customer service and told them of a previous incident when I picked up a 26' diesel in Gettysburg, PA and told it was full.. I pulled into a bad station 3 miles away and that truck took 7 or 8 gallons of diesel fue l...UHaul was contacted and was told I would get a refund on the drop-off, but had to wait a month for that refund...Robert W.

The company/owner really needs to help his employee with the bad foot. This guy can't walk and claims the injury happened on site. He walks constantly and it does t help his recovery. I felt bad for him and he does t feel supported by his employer. Get him one of those carts for people with foot injuries and he can get around and keep weight off of it and become more productive sooner with healing. Doesn't look good with that kid hobbling around. To hear it is a work injury makes it worse.Fletcher P.

Have corporate return phone calls or make the phone calls they say they will make. Make sure the customer knows exactly what all the charges will be before he employs you. Your lack of communication and poor customer service has cost me several hundred dollars and a lot of logistic chaos. I don't expect any tradesmen how to do their job but I expect them to do what they say they will do. Your customer service is absent and lied to me on more than one occasion. The only persons that were remotely competent were the Anmore manager and the person that took my initial call to customer service. Will I ever recommend U Haul? What do you think. When I arrived there was no indication of where to park so I parked close to the equipment return and asked an employee who was out side if I was in his way he (with a bad attitude) said â€œyeah, try a parking spotâ€. After picking up my tow dolly and getting to my location I noticed the safety step that secures the car on the drivers side was completely broken. And there's was a huge hole in the fender. Feel free to email me, I took pictures. I returned my trailer maybe 2 hours after I rented it bc I only needed it for a short time and when I returned it the guy was was again very rude. I let the other guy know I returned it and he said â€œI'll check it inâ€ almost a full 24 hours later it was checked in according my account on your website. Not to mention I called 3-5 times to ask about it and I always got instantly threw on hold (ring..ring..â€please holdâ€ never came back. Or the phone just ring and rings with no response. I wish I had this guys name bc he was SO RUDE. He was a taller guy. With facial hair. Working the morning of 3/21/22 around 9am. And he drives a black dodge ram (I seen him back back and forth to it a lot) this guy was so rude and the whole time I was in there all he did was complain about his job and how â€œthey won't train anyone else, and I'm tired of being short handled. If the phone rings let it f****ing ringâ€. That's no way to talk in front of customers. If it want for Kyle (who wasnt there at the time) I'd never come back to this location as long as that guy is there. The trailer wasn't upkept.
