There was only one employee on a Saturday morning. I was on a time crunch and the stupid online pick up app wasn't working. The wait time was crazy. Then the online drop off was a pain. My phone was almost dead. It was dark and I couldn't figure out how to turn on the interior light to take those stupid pictures. I won't do that again.SUSAN D.
The location was fine. Uhaul, the company, needs work. Why I had to drive 38+ miles to get a truck and tow dolly when there must be two dozen uhaul locations between here and there will remain a mystery. And there are quirky annoyances. For example, website said I would get 5 days, but after paying my money I learned that I would get 4 days and 23 hours. Honestly, getting the truck turned in at 9 a.m. was a scramble. I got there with only 5 minutes to spare. And the gas gauge thing was a confusing mess. I ended up GIVING uhaul an extra 5 gallons of gas. At Joe Biden prices, that is well over $20.Sean O.

It was a great experience, the customer service was excellent, but before picking up the truck I was told that the truck had a half tank of gas , and was told if I brought it back with more than half the would give me the difference, not the case after returning the vehicle, other wise I would recommend this place , I will do business here again.FERNANDO Z.

The owner, Chris was pretty rude to his employees. It was uncomfortable to watch. Skyler and Jamie were great! There was an issue with the wiring on the trailer, so I was stuck there a few hours while it was getting fixed, which delayed my departure. Jamie did a great job of working on it, and I really appreciate his help! This was the second trailer that they found for me. The first one wasn't available, but no one bothered to call to tell me. Johnny was coordinating finding another one, but his follow-up could use some work. I ended up making several calls trying to figure out what's going on, and I was told that he would call me back. But he didn't. Some follow-through would be nice-- even after they found me another trailer, I never heard from Johnny again.KATHERINE B.

I rented a pick-up - $19.95/day??? I had the truck for about an hour and a half, only drove 43 miles, and I was charged $96.97!!!!!! I knew there would be some additional charge, but $96.97??!! If you want repeat customers, try putting a little TRUTH IN YOUR ADVERTISING!! I will not use UHaul again.MARY N.

Pictures you provided of the truck I rented didn't show the actual damage on my truck. Uhaul pictures show no scratches and or other damage, so I took my own pictures and uploaded to your site. Requested a truck with an appliance dolly, bit no dolly was in it. Dolly was found to take. Loose blankets (x4) were all over the rear storage section of the truck, removed by associate. So it was a "fair" experience.Jeffrey T.

Tried the mobile check-in, what a disaster. Had to go in anyway after waiting for a long time, out in the heat, for an approval to come through. The guys inside were super nice and helpful though, they were awesome! Also didn't know you rented out the trucks almost empty with gas so that sucked that the first thing, after already running behind because we had to wait, we had to stop for gas.Annamaria G.

The service from the staff at this location was good and the equipment seemed good and well maintained. That said my experience overall was not great. The truck was given to me with a 1/4 tank of gas which seems like it should have been remedied by the location before I left with the truck. Also the App check-in exp experience was really bad. I was initially assigned a truck thru the app that had already been allocated to a customer who registered inside at the desk. Then when I went back to get another truck thru the app it kept erroring on the emergency contact as my emergency contact could not be verified at that time. That cost me 20 minutes of time of my 4 hour rental!Michael H.

Hire more people to work on weekends when you should know it will be busy. The time it takes to help one customer is too long to only have 2 people working on a Saturday morning. Also, the tank was completely empty when I got my truck. (apparently an issue with people siphoning gas overnight at this location) Have employees show up early and gas up the trucks so the customer is not inconvenienced.CAREY W.

Not sure if a customers comments make a impact with Corporate. If it does, then please know this; The entire staff at 5220 Auburn UHAUL is an exceptionally wonderful team. They exhibit wonderful customer service skills, each and every time. There are times when the outcome is not to the customers liking. However, it doesn't mean the U-haul representatives did not do everything within their control to remedy a situation. This really should be acknowledged. Well I rent a car transport trailer I rented it for 24hrs which was 59 dollars but when I got ready to leave the attendant said I need to get it back at 9 am when I had rented at 11:30 am which would mean get it back by 11 am the next day after a heated argument I told the attendant I be back around 11 am the next day the attendant said I would be charged an extra 59 dollars now this is total BS I hope uhaul doesn't operate like this at all locations because I wont be coming back to this one some needs to teach this location that 24 hrs means 25 hrs not 18 or 19 or not 20 my God can you imagine how many people have not gone back because of thisAgustin B.

The location manager on-site that day was flying around with his super hero cape on, helping a packed service counter/yard almost singlehandedly displaying; patience in the face of aggressive frustration, subject matter expertise across the spectrum of products and services available, while greeting each customer as they entered. I decided to use the "first month of storage free" offer after I rented a UHaul truck. To be honest, I figured it wouldn't be free because there would be hidden fees, etc. But when I turned in my key 5 days before the end of the first month, I was not charged. The Manager Amado Hernandez was one of the best manager I ever meet in the company. Truck left handle was missing. As a result, I fell off truck and scraped up my back. In significant pain to date. UHAUL paperwork shows storage access GATE hours as 5am to 10pm. Rented truck late in day, 2:00pm. Due to return truck and store items by 6:30pm on sat Oct 31,2020. Fell off truck which delayed return of truck and stopped to fill up gas to FULL status. Truck mileage was 56947 at UHAUL, returning mileage @7:42pm was 56953, BUT, we couldn't access the storage gate for entrance. We looked at our paperwork and receipt given to us by office and it states STORAGE ACCESS 5AM to 10PM. This was the deciding factor for closing out my current storage and moving to a closer storage facility. Unable to store my truck filled items in the unit and being told by staff that the area and facility deals with theft of gas and breaking into storage trucks, I drove the truck to my residence and secured it with a lock. I had to go to work at 3:30am Sunday morning and my vehicle was still parked at the UHAUL site, so I paid for a LYFT to take me to the UHAUL facility to pick my vehicle up, so I could go to work and reduce the possibility of theft. Also, I rented a truck earlier in the week for a ground unit that wasn't available. I paid for a truck that I couldn't use. Manager Andrew DID compensate me for this inconvenience. However, October 31, 2020 was a horrible, painful and stressful situation. I have left a storage facility to move to one of your facilities because of proximity and gate access, only to discover at night that the gate hours are no longer 5-10pm as your paperwork suggests.
