The pickup process was efficient and the vehicle very clean. However, there were MAJOR safety issues with the truck as I received it. Both the hood and the passenger side door had been left ajar when I picked it up. But the biggest issue was the bent front axle that got worse as I was driving it through the day. This should have been noticed by the maintenance crews as the alignment was way off as well (45 degrees off to start but 90 degrees by the end of the day). I'd also like to point out that this was the second site that I went to to pick up this rental. The first, scheduled for me by a regional representative, was at a gas station that had a couple trucks in a vacant lot next door. The person working the counter didn't know how to process a rental and I wasted an hour of my time driving out there, only to have to go to a different site the next day.Lorianna V.

Though the location I picked the truck up from was great to work with the overall experience will uhaul was unsatisfactory!! My reservation was for a location in Tomball TX near my home. I received a confirmation email with my reservation number and the address of that location. Upon my arrival the uhaul in tomball had no record of my reservation. When the associate looked up my reservation number uhaul had changed my reservation without my knowledge to a location 20 mins away!!! Seriously uhaul!! So I called customer service who was not helpful whatsoever. She told me I was left a voicemail telling me the location had changed which I received NO SUCH VOICEMAIL! Her attitude towards the situation was unprofessional. Was I frustrated yes! Because here I am at a location I made a reservation and know have to go 20 mins out of my way to get a truck. I then asked if because I had to go so far out of my way if I could change the drop off location. Customer service told me that once I picked up the truck I would be able to make that change. Yet once I got to the new location the associate told me that I was NOT able to make that change. Nothing uhaul told me was truthful and they made changes to my reservation without my knowledge. Overall it made the moving experience with them horrible, frustrating, and stressful. As if moving isn't already stressful! I will say that the manager where I did get a truck gave me a $50.00 credit towards my reservation and this review is not a reflection of their team. De'Corian Woods was so courteous and helpful. We first called in to check for availability and he helped us reserve the van saying it might go fast. And he was right because as soon as we went to go pick it up, he received calls asking for it and sure enough it was reserved. He had a line of people and calls coming in as he assisted us. Some of the customers were rude and being a jerk to De'Corian and he handled them so professionally. Please get him some help, though. It was so busy and he did a wonderful job. U-Haul website is very hard to make changes to an order. I had to cancel reset up after trying to change the time and pick location. Then i had to search for locations to drop off. I found Greenville location. But reservation said other places. When i came to the location to pick up the trailer there was no drop off location on the reservation. We found one on HWY75 in Dallas. When i got to Dallas i got a text message telling me where the Greenville drop off was. This was my original selection but it disappeared on my reservation but magically appeared when i got to Dallas. Very frustrating.JEFFREY K.

First the service sucked. You charged me $1.07 for the weekend per mile when the day before was $0.82. And then you expect me to bring it back with a tank of gas too? Are you guys stupid? Charge for one and not the other. Don't become greedy. Second, clean your pest infested vehicles and don't let people drive with a â€œcheck engineâ€ light on and faulty headlights. I was fraudulently charged $1,816.89 by someone at this Champion Forest location named Irene Sorano. I have never set foot in this Champion Forest location. The truck is currently in my driveway here in Fayetteville Arkansas! I have it reserved until April 23 and will return it to a Fayetteville UHaul lot. I have tried to call to get it fixed but was told to wait 72 hours. I thought i was a good UHaul customer and don't understand why I am having to deal with this problem.DON G.

The truck I rented had an issue with the engine cover in side the cab and it blew heat from the motor on right foot. I'm just a short 8 mile trip my foot was burning from the heat. I reserved my van online along with a furniture dolly. Upon arrival I was told they do not have any furniture dollys but they had an appliance dolly....So why was I able to reserve one online? And you would think they would let me have the appliance dolly for the price of the furniture dolly, bc that was a mistake on their end. Nope.. they didn't care. he still charged me the extra.. I also selected to drop of the van closer to the place I was moving( they had that option online) he then proceeds to tell me, that's not an option, and that I have to drive it back to that store.. another 30 miles... again why was I able to select these options online if they are not available to me??? It's very frustrating and I've never had this experience with any other uhaul.... also when dropping off the van, I was told I would have a receipt emailed to me... I have yet to receive it more than 24 hours after the fact and I have multiple charges and idk what for. I'm assuming the extra miles I had to drive back to the store... idk it would be nice to be able to see what I'm being charged for.HAILEY M.

Truck was clean but the right side mirror was broken and stuck in a inward position making switching lanes and seeing anything on the right side impossible. Had to have a car follow the truck every time we went back and forth to our new house which wasted more gas and time in order to ensure our safety and the safety of our property inside of the truck. For a 20ft truck, you need those mirrors for sight so it was completely unprofessional and not safe at all for consumers to use. Not to mention that they docked us for less than two gallons of gas at $5.50 a gallon when we were originally said it would only be $3.50 a gallon if it was not at the exact amount of fuel we received it at. Obviously we had to drive from the gas station to the drop off location, but with going less than 10 miles from the gas station where we filled the truck to the drop off location there is no way we were lower than when we got the truck at 7/8ths of a tank.MICHAEL S.

When I returned the truck I complained that it was not full of fuel because I only drove it 23 miles and it took over 7 gallons of gas. I felt they should have paid for part of that. The truck was over 20 years old and the fuel gauge is not longer accurate. So, being honest, I paid for my fuel and whoever didn't fill it on the previous rental. I realize this is not a large amount, but I feel ripped off. Further, when I complained, the young man on duty said he did not have the authority to make the adjustment, but he would leave the invoice as pending and the manager would call me the next morning and make it right. This didn't happen. All she did was finalize and charged us full value. I am not a big customer but do utilize your services 2-3 times every year when I need a truck or trailer.
