I followed the signs to drop off my equipment. The signs said to wait for personnel to come out. We waited several minutes before going in to the building, where we discovered personnel sitting at the front desk. They asked if I was dropping off the truck outside (they saw on camera maybe?), I said yes, and they asked for the key. I asked what else I had to do and they said "nothing." I didn't really feel comfortable not going over the truck condition with them before leaving, but felt I had no choice.SHERRI P.

Moving with enough furniture pads for the first time in my life was AMAZING! The combination of furniture pads and wrapping plastic allowed us to completely cover 10 furniture pieces. Not only protecting them but it made loading the U-Box much easier. The drop off/pick up drivers were very nice and efficient. Thank you. So nice almost want to move again.Jim H.

have the employees do there jobs at check out and check in. to fill up the gas tank, check mileage and enter that info into the computer system. guessing at where the gas level is can cause errors. not entering the mileage can cause over charges for mileage, like mine of 130 miles when i only went 4.2. still fighting it!Gary E.

Need to keep things in Stock ordered blankets and didn't get any. Van stunk and was dirty was a newer van not old. Filled up with gas 2 blocks from store and charged me 4.50 for a gallon after I checked in. It was full. Had receipt and told them I just filled it. I have been a long time costumer and have rented many pcs of equipment from uhaul im 61 years old and have never experienced the service I have experienced from this location. You should send in someone from corporate as a customer. Never will I rent from this location or recommend it.ROGER B.
The truck I was supposed to pick up had its catalytic convertor stolen 3 days prior (according to an employee) yet no one contacted me to let me know that, or to arrange for another truck prior. The person who helped me did contact a local store and arranged for a truck which I appreciated. I made a reservation and when I went to pick up the car hauler it was rented out to someone else. I had to go to another U-haul location and ended up wasting 3 hours.James R.
Arranging for initial delivery of U-Box was courteous and pickup was excellent. Afterwards, your customer service was awful. Box was almost a week late in arriving at destination and there was no communication from anyone. I called numerous times and was treated very abruptly and rudely by your representatives who gave me no answers and refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Upon eventual arrival, 6 days late, customer service was very responsive and efficient. Your online tracking is never correct or updated promptly. The trailer was damaged prior to my rental. The shroud over the wheels was dented pretty badly. So much so that you can't move the shroud so you can get in or out of the vehicle being towed after it's loaded.JASON G.
The young lady that helped me must have been worn out from the heat of the day. I was picking up a trailer at the end of the day, and I'm sure she was tired, She wasn't at all rude, but also wasn't pleasant to work with. I felt as if I was putting her out by renting the trailer. Oil was spilled all over the trailer we rented, Im not sure how the guy didnt notice it when he hooked it up to our car. We didnt notice until we were already loading out stuff onto the ramp..... my brother in law slipped on the oil and my stuff couldve been damaged, I had to put down 2 sets of sheets ..... Either theyre not checking what gets returned or they dont care, but either way it still looks really bad on their end and when i told the lady at the uhual office she had an attitude and very reluctantly said sorry with an attitude ..... will never rent from this place again!!!Marlena J.

Reservation that was made 2 hours prior could not be located, agent was sarcastically apologetic, when told she didn't have to patronize me and I needed to get going-she told me she no longer had a truck for me. I insisted on renting a truck and dolly as I had a deadline to meet. She told me the truck had a dolly in it. When I got to my destination, I discovered there was no dolly and had to return to your location to obtain one. This resulted in extra mileage and loss of time. The truck also became more difficult to start each time. I reported this to your agent as a bad battery problem. I was without a refrigerator for 5 days and I'm very glad to have one that is working now, but will never look to this site for assistance or filling my propane tanks again.MARY A.

The girl that checked me in had the worst attitude and act as though she was miserable and hated her job. The 26 foot truck was horrible to drive. When I went 50-60 miles per house the whole truck would shake so hard my body was jerking everywhere to the point I throw up. So unhappy and disappointed.MELISSA P.

I loved having all the communication from pre-drop off arrival to notices of drop off. It eased some of the stress of moving to know each step of the way where the box was and what was happening at each phase. I also liked the updates to when I was getting my box on the other end of my move. My box even arrived almost a week early which was amazing! The local office gave me a call to see if I was able to receive it earlier than expected. They even remembered me when I had to call the office back. I can't stop saying amazing things about the service of U-Haul with the u-pack box. Definitely worth the price!Heather A.

Didn't have the trailer I needed, but was able to substitute another one, after the Original location (Apache sands) that I went to was CLOSED despite the U-Haul site allowing me to book for the specific day and time, and showing that they were open at that time.GREGORY M.

Too many billing issues. I paid a month in advance for May 2021 via a phone call from Chris saying my account was past due (even though I set my account up on recurring twice and money wasn't taken out properly) and when I arrived yesterday May 23rd I was locked out of my storage room. This has happened twice during my 6 month rental period. Lock should have been removed when I made payment to Chris early May. Thank God the office was open. Reps are not helpful, unfriendly, not trained properly. Originally I reserved a 10x12 back in November 2020 and when I arrived to rent truck and get storage room I found out they gave my unit away and was given a 10x10 storage unit that had broken door. Had to request that it be repaired. Staff was rude and acted like they didn't care and was told I could move my contents to another unit. Wow... May 23rd my car was hit by Uhaul driver in parking lot at Broadway location. Again, inadequate training! Staff should not have been driving a Uhaul truck without proper training. We are leaving U-Haul because of our experience with this particular storage facility. We have repeatedly left messages for the manager, Jeff, to call us but he never did, we've repeatedly gone into the facility, but we can rarely catch him. The door to our unit building was broken when we first moved in and it took WEEKS to get it fixed. We tried to stress to the young man, who was behind the store counter, how important it was to get it fixed and have our belongings secure especially since it's not gated. His response to our concerns? He said that they had cameras that would record the thief's face and hopefully the police could catch him. Two things are problematic with this answer. 1. With COVID-19, most people are wearing a mask so the police couldn't identify him. 2. We didn't want our things to be stolen in the first place and the chances of getting them back, and in good condition, would be about nil. Couldn't believe we were having that conversation... After telling him that if it wasn't fixed within the next few days, I would be calling corporate...it finally got fixed. So... these are the reasons why we have moved our things out of U-Haul and moved them into a cleaner, gated, and well-maintained facility, Extra Space Storage. There was a mix up with my unit when I first was there. I was supposed to be air conditioning the first 3 weeks I was there it was almost 80 degrees. When I left I had to take my lock off, they do not pro-rate if you leave early or stay late so that is concerning. When I left an employee with short shorts, was sitting there eating her yogurt, I asked her for a close out receipt, seemed like that bothered her because she had to stop eating. The location on East Mesa all the employees were tremendously helpful and beyond nice. My first time moving out on my own ...paying everything myself. I was late returning the U-haul truck and the fee was waved. Also Im so glad I went there East Main st. In Mesa.... Seriously the owner of the trucks is super cool understanding of the situation I was in ...told me to take my time. My experience was less than optimal. The prices on the wall did not reflect the price I actually paid. I was paying 70+ for a 5×10 whereas now I am paying 37 with less hassle to access my unit. The security system would not work correctly and I had to make repeated attempts to gain access. I do however have two positive remarks: Harvest did a good job installing my hitch and the manager was helpful, but there was one staff member who had an attitude and bad choice in hair color. I will choose a different U-Haul location in the future for any rental trailer that I may need. Delpreet was helpful in reducing my monthly fee as well, but I found a better location that is more reasonable. I just moved out of Unit B83 since it had a. Inch gap under the door that never had weather stripping put on it in spite of asking Manager Jeffrey multiple times and even calling the 1-800 number who sent an email to Jeffrey that was never responded to. When I lifted the door yesterday I discovered that the unit doors had been painted and overspray went under the door and ruined some of our household items. I am now having to file an insurance claim. I spoke with Jeffrey about this and all he would do is print out a form that instructed me how to go through the claim process.
