We placed a reservation online for a cargo van after seeing the dimensions for the Ford Transit advertised on the U-Haul site. Online I also requested a queen mattress pad and a dozen furniture pads. I didn't hear any from U-Haul the week prior to my move so to be proactive I called the location and confirmed my order 3 days prior to my pick up date. I asked if the Ford van was going to be available and was told by the manager that they only rent Ford vans. We were given a Chevy van which is a bit smaller and no furniture pads. We then needed to stop at a U-Haul location in WI to pick up the pads which was inconvenient. In the end the van was in good shape and the bill was accurate, but good grief I don't understand how this was such a difficult reservation to get right…even after I called and confirmed everything.

Truck was a very rough ride, felt every bump. Transmission wouldn't change gears like it was supposed to, radio didn't work. No furniture dolly available even though I requested one on website, employees don't even walk around unit with you or verify the gas gauge. I was told was full, but was one mark under full. I'm glad I don't move everyday.

It had 1/4 tank left when I dropped it off. Parked on a hill will show that it has less. I got charged 58.88 because some dumb ass didn't think to move it to level ground to make sure the gas gauge was where it was supposed to be returned at. Got a real good crew working there, ripping people off. I'll be sure to have the idiots look at the gas gauge next time. I'll spread the word that this location rips people off for the hell of it.

On your reservation page you ask about the hitch and then you ask for weight capacity. It makes it seem like you are asking for hitch capacity when you are really asking for vehicle towing capacity. When you put in hitch it will not allow the rental. I would recommend a clarificaiton.

The Experience in Renting and picking it up was well done..Did do an overall check for any damage before I took possession and was nothing wrong with 5x9 utility trailer. Did need swept out but was done right away before I took it. Very Nice and Professional service.

I was cut an hour of time I asked for 4 hrs and was given 3 then Dayton was her name asked if we could have van back by 12:30 we said yes no problem yet I was still charged another day I got the truck back at 12:24. I was told that the issue would be fixed but I'm very dissatisfied with my experience overall.

I used the App that was pitched by your company as convenient for self check in & check out. The app would not allow me to return the truck because it would not accept the odometer picture that I tried to submit via the app several times. I turned off the flash as recommended by the app, but this would not help. I called the office manager, to seek assistance but they declined to help me. Due to the frustration and problems caused by the app, I accidentally locked the keys in the truck. The truck was at the u-haul property at the time. The manager charged me $170 dollars for a "lost" key but the key was never lost. I was forced to pay $150 dollars additional for a locksmith to get the key out for the manager. A $19 truck cost me almost $400 dollars because of a situation that was caused by u-haul and a failed app that your company talked me into using. There was no "lost key" because I paid to get it out of the truck! I am amazed that a once-reputable company now has resorted to fraud & criminality in order to make a profit. I filed a complaint with customer service but it seems that your company is refusing to do the right thing in my case.

Was told all we needed was money and ID, but got there and also needed phone, proof of homeowners insurance, extra money if 24 hr access. Bc we used another # to confirm account via text, they had to sign papers for storage unit. And They had wrong last name on form.

At pickup, I was told that the gas tank was full. I drove about 40 miles but needed to put more than 5 gallons in the tank to fill it. Clearly the tank was not full when I picked it up. I'd like to see a better method for telling me how much gas to put in tank to restore it to the same level as when I picked it up.

I have lived in AZ for 13 years the last time I was in Iowa was in 2011. Yet my kind act of helping my BIL pay for his storage unit is now going to hurt my credit. They are coming after me for a $1600 bill yet do not have a contract. I will be contacting the BBB and the credit burrows. It's sad that they know the manager before was cutting corners yet when I provided this information to them they did nothing to correct it.

Very snippy at me for not having the truck there 40 MINUTES EARLY . Which may not been her problem. Our reservation said return at 9am, hers could have said 8am? I don't know but I don't need the angsty voicemails. U-Hau Corporate: You have a SERIOUS scheduling problem. I had terrible problems with truck I reserved about a month ago & had to drive around Chicago all morning trying to get one. This time, I scheduled and confirmed a pickup at Forest Park IL and you switched it to Cicero IL. If it wasn't for the girl at Cicero calling me 2 days before, I would have been running around again. So when we buy a house this summer & need to rent a truck to move our things out of storage, I ask you: "Why would we go thru you again??"

The online reservation systems is very easy to use and the reservation did not charge my credit card immediately. Upon picking up the trailer, the personnel at the facility was very friendly and more importantly willing to go outside into the very cold weather. There is only one reason I did not rate this a 5 star; when we returned the trailer the clerk entered the wrong return date. Thus the automated payment system charged my credit card an extra day. It seems odd that I picked-up and dropped off on the same day that the clerk would enter a return date in the future. I confirmed my reservation also had the matching pick-up/drop-off dates. Because of this mistake, I had to phone the office to get the problem resolved. The clerk promptly recognized the problem and said it would take 3-5 days to see the refund on my credit card.

I was very disappointed that the location did not have the utility dolly and moving blankets I had ordered. Fortunately I was able to rent them from another location, but that took about 45 minutes out of a very busy day I could have used otherwise. There was some problem with seeing my order online. The technician was not able to see that I had ordered a roll of the 5" stretch wrap. He gave me one anyway, but odd he could not find it. Otherwise, check in and checkout were handled professionally and speedily. JF

Had been at this facility since before uhaul acquired it. I had one of the bigger unit's (20×20) and over the past two years my rate was continuously raised until I couldn't justify keeping it. Great staff and I liked the facility.

The unit I reserved wasn't immediately available as the previous tenant hadn't moved out. The staff quickly found another recently vacated unit, ran down and cleaned it so I could move a load in right away.

The temperature controlled unit was below 40 and the gate ( not even attached) and doors were unlocked, the nasty lady behind the counter said it wasn't going to be fixed in 3-4 days? How long was I paying extra for nothing at all? This is a very poorly run facility and the manager needs to look at who is taking care of his store!!

in the few months that I had my storage facility I had a 65 inch smart TV and a boxer taken out of my unit they claim to be the number one in security even stated that I shouldn't need any extra insurance when I filled out that the application to get the unit and yet had to grainy footage to even see who had taken my television on top of that I moved out in July having made my July payment they knew and didn't put anything down got a hold of me in August where I told them that I had moved out a month prior in the locket been off and proceeded to tell me things were fine that they would get it documented only to be really gotten hold of in September with the same issue when saying it for the third time I received an email stating that I was trying to shirk my bill on to someone else which is completely false just letting them know for people that did their their checks and drive-thrus of the facility should have seen that the lock was off let alone the numerous times that should have been documented now I'm to be charged a cleaning fee and I don't even know what because they don't give you any numbers figures or dates I would never recommend your facility to anyone else every time I had to go into the office to make a payment or rent a U-Haul which I also did two times it took forever ridiculous never again!

We left due to the rise in cost. It simply became more affordable for a shed. One other note, the truck rental operations often impede access to the storage, Perhaps by switching the large truck and trailer parking it would keep the path open? Not a huge deal but more of a safety as truck renters often stand in the open space, which is tight unaware.

The foundation of my 10x10 unit CRACKED and covered my property in thick dust and dirt. UHaul HQ gave no compensation at all. Local staff were helpful, did what they could and were always friendly.

It's a great place to do with. My ONLY issue was the mice. Make sure you have totes and sealed and covered furniture. They chewed through our things and droppings were everywhere. Beware of MICE!!!

I would recommend this location to anyone who needs a place to store their belongings. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they could remove a lock for you if you were to loose your keys.

Overall a very good place. Longer summer hours would be nice. My one complaint is the placement of the exit swipe key box, it can't be accessed from your vehicle. Very secure and well maintained.

To access my unit outside of 7a-7p I would have to pay another $10 for 24hr access. I don't need 24 hour access, but may need access 7p-10p. I also had to pay $11 for a lame round lock per U-Haul.
