The GM Spencer at this location where we dropped off and also made our reservation for us went above and beyond. Even when Arizona could not find a solution for moving my family from another state, Spencer stepped in and saved the day!!! He was easy to work with and understood all my concerns. He made renting with uhaul effortless! And I look forward to working with him in the future.

The driver side windsheild wiper fell off during a rain storm. The car hauler we rented had a cracked fender, the wires were not plugged in correctly, the carabiner for the chains was not tightened and during transportation the wheel straps fell off my car.

Reservation was for 6am. We ran into a “see front desk” message. We tried to call customer support twice as well as starting a virtual chat. We were hung up on after 45 minutes then an hour and virtual chat was ended with zero help. We waited 3 hours for the store to open with ZERO explanation on why we needed to see the front desk. The cashier couldn't have cared less either and had an annoyed attitude when I asked why we weren't able to complete the check in and asked for a different corporate number because we had issues with the 1800 number on the site. Considering the uhaul website mentions how the company values customer time it's crazy how much time was wasted on getting this truck. Timeliness was so vital to this day because it was a move in the desert and by the time I got to my destination it was about 115. With the planned schedule this would've been avoided. I had even called the night before to confirm reservation and asked if I needed anything further for truck share. Don't offer truck share if it doesn't work and no customer support is available.

Right when I got to the location I was helped right away. I was assisted by the manager Spencer H. who was very polite and answered every concern that I had and went into depth on what I was purchasing and what I needed to complete my move. I would most definitely recommend this U-Haul location to anyone. Everything went smoothly from the moment I got there to the moment I left. Thank you Spencer and team for everything!

I have mixed feelings about U-Haul and this location. My complaint is that my reservation indicated I would be able to pick up the van prior to the store opening, as long as I had a mobile device. When I arrived, there was no van waiting, no instructions on how to use the mobile device to check out the van, and no one to help. I had to wait over 1/2 hour for the store to open. At that point there was a line of people and had to wait another 1/2 hour until I spoke with someone. I attempted to contact U-Haul via phone, but had to wait for a callback. When they called back, I was on hold for over 5 minutes then I hung up. Customer service via Phone is terrible. On the plus side, the employees were friendly and knowledgeable. The store was well organize and there was plenty of supplies and equipment.

So many glitches made this move difficult. The rental was easy, but the additional help moving proved very difficult and time consuming. They arrived 2 hours late. The return process - taking pictures and filling out information - was good but scary. So much could go wrong using a phone app. And my truck did not lock every door. Still, I think the service is better than it used to be and I very much appreciate U0Haul's attempt to make my experience easy to book and to close. Thanks.

Stop treating customers like criminals. I had to call 2 other people to prove I gave you phone numbers of people who know me. I have never had to do that at Enterprise or Lowes. Of course it proved nothing since I could have given you numbers other than who I called.

We rented a truck to drive 12 miles, paperwork stated truck had half a tank it was empty. We went inside to tell them they adjusted the paperwork. However, when we turned in the truck they charged us for 200 miles, we have time stamped cameras of our arrival at home, the previous customer used the truck drove those miles and returned it empty and WE were charged for it. Something is going on at this location not In uhaul policy, not checking mileage or fuel for each customer. We will be filing a suit as we have proof of where and when we traveled. PLEASE check your mileage AND fuel BEFORE leaving this location.

engine light came on as soon as we drove away and while there were lots of other trucks, they were for local only and the "manager" who we never saw was "trying" to arrange an alternative for over an hour. it was EXACTLY as we expected.

It's still not clear to me whether you can actually pick up a van without having to go inside. I don't think you can given all the security around picking them up. I did most of the work online and had to effectively repeat it inside. It was fast to check out once I got through the line but the website sent me several messages about completing my rental online that I don't think actually work.

No customer service skills Not sure if understaffed or just not wanting to do the job The van we rent make so sick it smelled so horrible at cigarette it was like been in an elevator from Las Vegas gross and disgusting make throw up and give me a headache my husband throat got closed for inhaling it . Didn't want to return it and get another one because I knew it was going to take time due to not enough people helping at the Store . I complained to the person receiving the van and didn't do much . For the money I paid not worth it Definitely reaching out to another company next time

It seems that the reduced numbers of people willing to work has affected this business like many others. Some workers needed detailed direction from the manager while he was processing my rental. The keys were missing to the truck I had been assigned, and he had to redo the paperwork because of this. He was apologetic and genuinely wanted to do his best, but the circumstances (and perhaps lack of detailed procedures that everyone gets trained on and perhaps if this is not already being done, some more responsibility areas assigned To specific man staff members working each shift to take some load off of the manager and to Empower employees take responsibility for the quality of their work and knowing the proper procedures as well as investing them more fully in the work in the organization. These things may already be addressed and other barriers may be driving the work flow abs the quality of work that were not evident during this brief visit.

The truck rented had a ‘check engine' light on and continued to stall when driven. The mileage of the vehicle when I checked out was not correct on my invoice it was over 100 miles less than the truck actually had on it. The check out process was unprofessional. The agent informed me he would correct the miles in the system. When I returned the truck the agent said I agreed to the miles. I drove <15 miles. They charged me for over 120 miles driven. I returned the truck early due to the check engine light. The agent said it was ‘my problem' and would be charging me for the full amount as well as the additional mileage. I believe the location is fraudulent. Other customers in line where complaining about other things as well. Your employees didn't seem to care. I will be finding a formal complaint as well as potential litigation.

Spencer, did a great job addressing my concerns. I think Uhaul needs to focus more on securing this location much better. Spencer told me they were building the fences higher to keep people from getting. One of my locks was cut off after less than 24 hours in my unit. Spencer took great care of giving me the proper locks and making sure I had insurance on my belongings. Great job Spencer. It was greater service then what I received in Phoenix by far.

You need to pave all the areas as if moving carts are being used and not having ramps at the entrance to the indoor storage is just dumb. Don't put up signs bragging about the indoor temperate being controlled when on the few occasions I actually showed up it wasn't even close. There is a real issue with telephone communication at this location. I'm guessing management is either overextended or just doesn't care but many simple issues that could be solved were kicked down the line adding to really everyone's additional time wasted. Have someone that can take care of the phones and I'll bet you won't have any bad reviews or irritated customers as I've noticed on most visits there's always one or two upset folks: There's got to be someone at home that could go on payroll and quickly resolve most problems . You have sone really great workers there and you've got some lousy ones but honestly neither seen to stay. U-Haul is a smart company and kinda quietly crept up and made itself the only affordable ish option for moving and storage but I can't say I really love it like everything about it . This location is ok but it's just because it's really the only game in town. I've found better prices and better service within a half mile but I did have to wait for a space and of course they don't rent trucks , so thank you for the space it was clean and available.. I don't mean to be a jerk I'm just being blunt. You obviously have a good business, I think it could be a great one with a few improvements. It's interesting that not getting good service lingers and kinda leads a good customer away when the cost to actually take care of it was so little. You'll do well regardless I'm sure:

We were so relieved to discover we got a month of free storage with our one way rental. Our home buying experience did not allow us to move directly in..in fact it took 4 additional months!! We had to pay for 3 months and were so glad our unit was air conditioned. A staff member verified all the units were secured twice daily by physical inspection. And for secure?...you had to use your gate pass to also exit every time you came. Video surveillance was also used. If we ever move again...U-Haul is our choice.

Every time we went our it was like an obstacle course! U-haul vehicles and has block our row since day one. Have to ask an employee to move vehicles and trailer blocking both access roads to our unit, multiple times. Have to wait 15-20min. pain. Check yourself row G19. The entire time I was moved in, the staff could not provide me with an access code or card. They repeatedly told me the gate controls were broken and being fixed. They never were. I had to call over the intercom to be let in. One evening they left for the day with me and my vehicle in there and I had to hop the fence, leave my car, and have my wife pick me up. Would not recommend.

Employees not wearing very protective masks. Just scarves over their faces. The Uhaul company need to provide masks that protect both the employee and the customer from the employee. I did not continue with my rental because of a price increase. I was told that the vehicle I rented had 1/2 tank of gas instead the vehicle had only a quarter tank. Fortunately I caught it before driving off. The truck bed was not clean.

I found it impossible to communicate with my local UHaul agent regarding my storage. Saving money this way for your company does not make friends. I waited up to an hour and never did connect with a question that could've only been answered by my local dealer.

I rented a 20 ft truck to go 1 way to cat city & was told I got a few storage for a month. I was told it wAs 10x8x5. (It's your business & you should know that a 20 ft truck worth of stuff won't fit 1/4 of my belongings in, so what should have taken 4-5 hrs took all day (I'm disabled w a broken neck). I had to move my stuff to a different storage then bring the truck back. I would expect some kind of refund or a free truck for my reservation on the 8th as the 3 things & confirmation # were wrong. I have all my documentation copied & ready to go to the bbb if you don't come up w a solution for me b4 3/8/21 thank u Richard Nicolas. 951-295-9139

I had difficulty with the hasps on the locker. Two uhaul locks were very difficult accommodate to the hasps. The employees were great and very helpful. Maybe U-Haul should look at a better engineered hasp system hardware. A new hasp designed from the ground up would not be inappropriate.

It was hard to go to the office, it was always busy with long lines. I had to wait on many occasions to pay cash for my unit for a long period while the cashiers helped customers with rentals.

The staff and facility are excellent. The only reason for a less than excellent rating is the wait time I experience at multiple U-Haul locations and all times of the day or month or week. It appears U-Haul could upgrade your systems to help support your staff. Everything seems to take too much personal intervention. The new ap is an improvement, for sure, and keep it up. Gracias

The facility itself was fine, and the service I received actually went above and beyond; but I cannot recommend this location. During the 5 or 6 times I visited the office, there was always at least one employee inside (usually more) with no mask. Those who did have masks often would only wear them when customers entered, or would wear them improperly (many customers followed suit). It does not take a rocket scientist to understand how masks work, but many of the employees at this location seem to either not understand or not care. I should mention that there was one female employee (blonde) that seemed to always have her mask on, and she should be duly commended. Sadly most of the other employees working inside (predominantly the young males) didn't seem to take it seriously whatsoever.

I was told that I was to receive a 10x15 unit and was given a reservation number. When I arrived at the location, I was told that they couldn't locate my reservation and that there were no more units available in that size. I had just driven 590 miles, had a truck full of items to be stored and I was extremely tired. This was not good news. The young man behind the counter was kind and pleasant but could only offer me a 10x10. I accepted it because I had no other options at that point and had to take a lot of items to the dump.

I am extremely unhappy! I was given a trailer with retread tires and one came off during the trip, costing me $123 to buy a new one. Then when getting to my end destination, I was charged insurance on the storage unit, but never got one, even though I had one reserved! This meant that I had to book in overnight in Palm desert costing me $ 156 so that I am able to arrange a storage unit elsewhere the following day at a more expensive rate. So no, I am not happy, but this will be heard by everyone I know, and I will post this on my LinkedIn profile where I have in excess of 1,000 top CEO's and Presidents of Companies as connections. So, I will leave the ball in your court and give you until Monday afternoon to decide how you are going to compensate me for this massive inconvenience!

Our first contact was with a employee named Jose. He was rude and unhelpful. We asked if we could get the 1 month free storage so we could unload our truck on 6/10 and then go unload the remainder of our belongings and then turn the truck in. It was 104* that day! It was 11am and the truck was not due to turn in until that Friday 6/12. He rudely said No! and would not discuss it. As we were leaving two other employees both named Chris were amazing and helpful. They proceeded to get in contact with Whitney the asst mgr. who was amazing as well. WE were able to get into the storage unit and off load the items and then turned the truck in earlier than expected. What is a shame is the very first contact we had with anyone in Palm Springs was Jose. JERK! Thank you Whitney and both Chris's. You all were helpful and changed our day into a positive experience.

This U-Haul facility is a model for a well managed and operated representative of the U-Haul business. From start to finish, my experience was exemplary in all ways...especially customer service.
