We waited for an hour to pick up our reserved trailer. Stood in line for an hour while there were only two people in line ahead of us. Two girls at the desk. One disappeared for about half an hour. As we're finally paying and getting paperwork they're like â€œoK back at 3:30?â€ No that's when we were to pick up at 9:30. It now 10:30!! They told one couple that there wasn't room to drop off there truck at their destination in Red Deer. She actually asked them if they were OK with dropping it off in Edmonton. Two hrs away! After a move!!! The dude outside hooking us up sauntered around like he was on vacation. â€œOh I forgot the electrical cordâ€. Slowly shuffle back in the shop. Shuffle out. Trailer has a gash on the side which had been noted by uhaul as a quick claim sticker was present. I didn't expect this small tear to cause me any issue but upon the completion of my trip all my content was soaked due to water leaking in from the cut. In retrospect I should have asked for another trailer or used duct tape to fix the gash.Robert G.

I'm extremely happy with the customer service that I received. I did not know that this location existed but I was denied from another location due to dropping off my truck late a couple times in the past and I'm so glad that I was as my experience was so much better than in the past. This will be the location that I go to and rent from in the future. It was awesome I was provided excellent customer service by Maria McKay. She was knowledgeable, professional and very helpful. We rented the 26ft uHaul for 2 days, in Calgary. Day one we got stuck in the snow/ice more than once. Finally we had to call a tow truck and pay $250 to get us out. I called Uhaul to complain about the bald tires and the truck not being equipped for Canadaâ€˜s winter weather. The woman told me I should have called U-Haul roadside assistance and I would not have had to pay for the tow truck. She said in a very condescending voice that I should've checked my contract. Day 2. We got really stuck, again. I called U-Haul roadside assistance I waited on hold for a very long time. I received text messages that U-Haul was checking quotes. Finally U-Haul called me with a quote from a third-party. It turned out, we had to pay for the U-Haul anyways even though we called roadside assistance. WTH????? Uhaul is a sheister, lowlife company. In The middle of winter, in Canada, they are sending out trucks with bald tires claiming they are all season, which they are not and taking no responsibility or accountability for the repercussions. I had reserved a storage locker at the time of trailer reservation, Upon arriving at the location to unload into the locker and return the trailer, I learned that this facility only had wooden crates that are stacked in a warehouse. I then had to locate a different style of storage facility, in another part of the city, and obtain a locker. Upon returning the trailer to the U-Haul facility, I was then charged an additional $21.00 for a late-return fee, which again, the customer service person had no control to compensate for the blanket inconvenience or override the late fee. To be fair, the trailer was in excellent condition and worked perfectly, but due to the associated inconveniences, I would not recommend U-Haul.Bruce C.

The customer service front end person was not easy to deal with ! She did not explain things gave another address to drop off the one way truck too which put me over in mileage which I had already put extra on! The service was poor and not friendly we were the only ones there too so she was not busy and I can see why ! Not helpful at all I will not rent there again ! I will not recommend this place to others either ! I had a much better experience at the Blackfoot location They also gave me another place to drop off my truck at in high river so o did not have to drive back for another location to drop off and pay extra for mileage which I already had ! I will recommend the Blackfoot location again the staff was pleasant and easy to deal with ! I did not pick up my truck there because I thought the other location was closer out of town! She did not give us the same address to return our one way drop off to the place either ! For a front end attendant and staff she was not friendly at all very hard to get any service from her ! Equipment itself was adequate as expected. Check in/out process was a bit confusing being partly inside, partly online. Returned the trailer early but got an extra $20 charge for not completing the check out online which wasn't made very clear. A bit cheeky in my opinion, but I guess my fault for not reading the fine print. Probably would look for other options next time.Anthony B.

the facility was a mess. maybe they are renovating but right now it is a real mess. very dirty, very uncomfortable - even for the employees, poor guys - and very insecure. when i arrived to load my container (which i did not know it, because i was told it was a storage place, not a box) i was left alone in the facility. i imagine if a burglar had this kind of access... The place itself is far away from a well organized UHaul facility. There's not enough space to the amount of trailers, vans and trucks. For manouvering a truck or a car with a trailer, it's very very hard for an amateur driver. I was billed wrongly for fuel and awaiting credit. I was told vehicle is outside and after searching for 5 minutes, when I couldn't find it, I was told it is on the rear side which was like a few minutes walk on icy/slippery gravel lot!! When I went to pick up the truck sharp at 10 AM, there was no one at service desk for 5-10 mins and I kept waiting. Overall, pretty poor customer service.Dhruv J.

Rented 15" truck that only came with 1/4 tank left. Was told to not refuel by the person helping me out. Return the trunk, got charged for $30 refueling fee (which the employee basically lied to me about) and I was charged for the cost of refueling a FULL TANK. When I clearly only used 1/4 as confirmed by the initial fuel reading and odometer records. Been over 48hrs since there was a response from UHaul. Terrible customer service I would not recommend this location to anybody.ka wing Y.

My pick up location was changed without notification. The new location had two people working who were incredibly slow with no concern for the customers. We stood in line for 40 minutes and only one person had been helped. The lady at the desk was very rude and snarky. The truck had windows so dirty that we could barely see out of them. The truck had less than a quarter tank of gas and a broken passenger side seat belt. My experience was beyond terrible and I would recommended trying another rental company. I called their 1-800 number to complain and got passed to two or three different people and didn't get a single apology. Best they could do was $50 off. Thanks U-Haul.Leonard A.

One person working on the 1st day of the month, equipment was not clean, there was stacks of loose blankets piled in the back of the truck when I went to put in the blankets I had rented that I had to help clean out before I could leave. I was charged for more Fuel than I used, with photo evidence of the Fuel level when I returned the vehicle and a cleaning fee when the truck wasn't clean to begin with.Brayden E.

The guy sold us the wrong hitch after installing it on the vehicle himself, a 3â€ drop hitch, which made the trailer sag on the back end of the vehicle and then they wouldn't let us return it the next day. Wipers did not work on truck. Reservation included the rental of 2 furniture dolly's which they didn't have. I was told they are on a first come, first serve basis... if this is the case why allow customers to add equipment to their reservation? They did manage to find me 2 at another location and didn't charge me but still defeats the purpose & was not convenient. The staff at this location Are great, but for some reason, on oct 30 at 530 PM there is one staff only for returns, and some jerk parked a car hauler right in the middle of the only way into the parking lot. The staff was excellent, and she processed my return without making me stand in line with a small child, but U-haul should treat their employees with more respect, which means more staff especially all hands being on board at month end (ie pay them overtime too!)Ryan B.

My truck was not available at the location that I reserved it at. Truck only had a quarter tank of gas in it. Customer service was not helpful and was unfriendly. Drop off location changed at every directed site. Nothing was the way that it should have been according to my contract. The only way that they finally allowed me to drop off the truck at a U-Haul authorized dealer, 30 minutes away from the original drop off site, was after I spoke up about my mistreatment. On a day when I have so much to worry about during the move, the last thing that I need is inconsistent information and misguided employees who don't know what is going on.colin B.

I tried to rent at a different location and my rental got moved to this location without informing me. I then needed to drive across town to the location where my rental was located. I arrived and the pickup was covered in snow and not drivable (The snow arrived 2 days prior so there was plenty of time to clean the vehicle and make it acceptable). I told the staff of the issue and they gave me an old broom to clean the vehicle. After trying to complete the process it was not working and i asked to switch my rental to a van which was also covered in snow and dirty in the back. The windows were very filthy making it less safe to drive as well. The staff did not go over any controls on the vehicle or walk around to do an outside inspection to check for damage. I also had to pay for extra KM's compared to where my original booking was located which was not taken into account.Dave H.

The entire parking lot was a skating rink, the truck was not clean and had someone else's belongings in it, it was not sanitized even though we're in the middle of a pandemic! There was ice on the truck an inch thick that I had to figure out how to get off by myself. There were no winter tires in the truck so I was sliding around and getting stuck constantly. No one knew what was happening with the truck itself when it came to if it had gas or not. The mileage gauge was also very off and I was almost charged $350-$400 for going 30 km as it was multiplying my distance drastically. The store had no clue what has happening and was claiming I had not been initially charged until I showed them my bank account. I was very displeased how this store was working and they had no intention of resolving this for me until I got upset. It was mayhem. I will not be going back.Haley L.
The manager was chewing his food and talking with at the same time. He did not do a walk around the truck because I want it to finish his lunch. When he give me the paperwork and keys. It did not match the truck miles and fuel level. When back to him and he just wrote a line in my paper work. No changes to the actual paperwork. When I drop off the truck he try to charge me for not filling up the fuel tank as per the paper work and show him the paperwork he gave me and he's â€œnoteâ€ his own writing. He denies doing it. I am very disappointed with the service received at this location. I will never use this location again and would recommend against it to all family/friends as a result of this experience. The following were the main issues that I experienced: 1. I had reserved a furniture dolly and a hand truck dolly in advance only to arrive to find that the uhaul agent did not have any left as they had all been rented earlier that morning. What is the point of reserving in advance if they can still be sold out? I had planned my move around having access to this equipment which really inconvenienced me. 2. The uhaul agent did not show me where the truck was. I had to walk around the massive parking lot in -20C weather searching for the truck with many similar models. Each truck was covered in snow which made it difficult to identify which one was mine. 3. The truck itself was not in customer ready condition. The truck was covered in snow and ice forcing me to use my personal ice scrapper to clean the vehicle. This should have either been provided or done in advance of the rental. In addition, the box of the truck had garbage (boxes, tarps) leftover from the previous customer. The box was also covered in an excessive amount of dirt and leaves which had not been cleaned up after the prior customer. 4. I witnessed one of the uhaul agents be extremely rude to another customer. Even though the agent was pleasant with me, I felt unwelcomed in the store and uncomfortable with how the other customer was treated.Calvin G.

I was redirected to this location from my preferred location. I will flat refuse to any rental from this location in the future. My credit card had gotten charged for the first month of the storage containers that I had booked.. When I had booked it online, it clearly says that the first month's storage rent is free. When I was at the store, they had confirmed that the first payment will be charged on Aug 28th instead of July 28th.
