I waited for more than 45 minutes after the location opened for the 1 minute it took to process my check-in for my returned rental. Rather than ask a customer checking-out to wait 1 minute to check-in my returned rental I was kept waiting for 45 minutes. No longer can you just drop off the keys because to do that is subject to a "convenience fee". My only other option was self checkout. I shouldn't have to self checkout considering I was there and it literally took 1 minute to process me out. That is an example of terrible customer service. I personally have run businesses for over 20 years; I run three now. I would never keep a paying customer waiting 45+ minutes for a process that takes 1 minute because I'm busy. Yes the location was busy, but once again the process took 1 minute to complete. It is very simple to tell the next person in line "I'll be right with you as soon as I check this customers return in". My reservation to pick up my rental went smoothly and was handled well but the return was terrible and consumed so much time my plans for the day had to be altered. The excuse I was given only when I asked why I was waiting so long was "we are busy with other customers". At no point did anyone say "We will be right with you", nobody acknowledged me or the other customer waiting to return his rental, and nobody walking back and forth apologized for the delay. I can see customers checking in to pick up their rental are far more important and can't possibly be asked to wait 1 minute to process a customer returning the equipment they rented and complete the transaction. I have always used U-Haul to handle my moving needs, I will have to rethink any future needs in light of transaction.NICHOLAS L.

Figure out a better solution for gas. I didn't like that I had to guess how much gas to put in. It felt like a slimy business practice to me so that Uhaul could end up with more gas than I had when I was given the truck.Cameron N.

I had a really stressful experience trying to get in contact with corporate customer service representatives and there was some confusion about where I could return the truck, BUT the employees at this location were very nice and understanding and they did everything they could to help me out and I appreciated it so much! The U-Haul Center in Provo is well maintained and very nice. Employees are knowledgeable. Trucks are well maintained and clean. Very different experience than the pick up in Kentucky.Braeden F.

I rented a 26' truck to deliver pallets to a event. I was disappointed when i discovered the wheel well took up so much of the floor space and I was not able to fit as many pallets as I needed too. I did not see any info that indicated the layout of the inside of the truck, if I had I would not have rented it.JOSE B.

Good customer service! The only issue I had was that I did not understand that I had to drop off the trailer exactly 7 days to the hour. I thought I could drop it off at any time the day it was due. Then I was charged $30 for dropping it off late. Verbally emphasizing that the exact time of the drop-off matters and verbally emphasizing the late fee you'll receive if you drop it off after the designated time would be very helpful.Matthew M.

Cody Kamp at your Provo, Utah, location checked-in our one-way rental of one of your 26 footers (with a transporter) (both of which btw were perfect in condition and in performance). Cody could not have been more efficient and effective. He knew who we were when we arrived, fully knew everything that needed to be done, quickly checked out all that needed checking, finished all of the â€œpaperworkâ€ in short-order, e-mailed the final statement, sincerely thanked us for the rental, offered to be of service in the future, and then ended with a â€˜Have a Nice Day'. All within less than 10-15 minutes. This U-Haul rental return could not have been better due to Cody Kamp's excellent customer service. Gracias.STEVEN V.
My high rating is for Provo, not Spanish Fork. Provo was amazing. But when I showed up at 8:00 am in Spanish Fork for my scheduled 26' rental there was a sign on the door saying â€œthey were closed until Tuesday for Labor Day Weekend!l Can you spell coronary! I had people coming in 30 min (2hrs round trip from SLC) to help me move along with a dozen other people. I had scheduled to vacate my storage unit and also scheduled pianos movers! I had received no call from uhaul or Spanish Fork warning me nor any attempt to provide another truck. l'd had the reservation for two months. Uhaul reservation lady and Provo office were amazing. I can't believe Spanish Fork left me in such dire circumstances! Give them a negative marks on all counts! That is terrible. I was just lucky Provo had a truck for me!!! It is reasonable to expect an office who has decided to close for the weekend to look at the reservations that will be affected, call them, and make provisions for them!!!!Carol B.

I reserved a 26' truck from a closer location. It was given away and not available. I was not informed about this. I called just in case and was told I could either get a smaller truck (which would not work for us) or drive farther away to get the proper size. It worked out, but caused a major inconvenience and additional labor time I had to pay our staff.Sylvia L.

Gas gauge was different between the contract statement and the actual amount that was listed. I would have informed the U-Haul location but there were about 6 people in line already and I was under a deadline so I couldnt wait at the time. Because of the difference I had to full the tank more than what listed on the contract. The location was very busy and more staff would be advisable.JOSHUA V.

After speaking to several different locations looking for a 15 or 20 foot truck without any luck, we spoke with a man on the phone who told us he had several 15 ft trucks available and set up a reservation for us online. After arriving to pick it up, the wait was incredibly long and slow moving and then we were given a 10 foot truck instead of 15. The size change created a huge issue in our transport causing delays and costing us extra money. There was no apologies or discount offered. The website indicates a $50 reservation guarantee but even though our reservation wasn't correct, no one seemed to care.MATTHEW L.

Gas needle shows higher than what it is because they car is park in a little hill as soon as you get the car on flat surface gas mileage drops and when you drop it off car is on flat with exact same gas as before but they still charge youWalter E.
There was confusion about the fuel level expected when I returned it. The staff member who rented me the van highlighted a range that would be acceptable, so I brought it back within that range (even toward the middle of that range). When I returned it, a different staff member tried to charge me for more than a gallon, so I asked to speak with the manager. He went to get the manager and then returned to say they would just remove the charge. I would've been happy to fill the van before returning it, but it was frustrating to be told something different when returning it than I was told when checking it out. Please resolve this and train staff properly to avoid future confusion. GraciasJared M.

The staff were very friendly and helpful during my much-stressful move. Not only were they conveniently located close to where I was moving, allowing more access to my storage units, but any additional items I needed to buy were just simply charged to my card on file rather than having to wait in line to ring them up and purchase separately. The prices were a bargain, especially for the time that I needed to move in. I had just enough space to hold all my belongings, which was amazing. The staff was rude and short with me. I had to change my moving time because a truck was not available even though the website assured me it was. I was charged for blankets but when I got to my moving site I found that the staff forgot to include them in my truck and the location was already closed by that point. I tried to return the truck that night using the online return process and the option just wasn't available on my order. I even had other customers returning trucks that night try to assist me run into the same problem. I called customer service and waited on hold for 45 mins with no one answering. Eventually I just gave up and went home so I could try an in person return the next morning. When I showed up on site and explained all of this to the U-Haul representative he just shrugged and said "Sorry about that. I'll refund you for the blankets." I will definitely be renting from another truck provider in the future.Thomas J.

I wish I could have payed less based on the number of days that I used the truck and trailer for. The shortest number of days I could reserve the equipment for is 6 days but I only really needed it for 3 days. A pay based on days used policy would be a better policy.JARED J.
