Rental: My vehicle wasn't properly cleaned and had the check engine light on which was not disclosed to me by the worker. Return: The Hispanic guy and â€˜White lady that works at this location is full of shit. They were the most aggravating throughout my entire rental experience. The guy's face just looked like a slapped ass and like he wanted to get the hell out of there. Why get these damn jobs if you're not going to do it properly. I'm getting charged additional charges when I returned the cargo van 4/2/2021 at 4:20pm exactly. The guy said just give me the keys very condescendingly and that they will log it. It was specifically logged at 6:24am 4/3/2021. That's a load of shit because I didn't return it after hours.Dajae H.

Whomever it was that issued my truck to me could use, in my opinion, some directives and training on customer service. She seemed to not want to answer questions. She spoke in a low tone of voice making it very hard to hear her and I had to ask her several times to repeat herself. Part of her problem is that she sounds as though she's reading from a training manuel and didn't really care about her customer's experience. Generally everybody at this location has been very helpful, vibrant and seemed to really care. Those employees are the main reason I came back to this location. That's why I was so surprised at this ladies attitude.ANDRAE S.

I have an outstanding case with the fraud department and am incredibly disappointed by the service I have received from them. There should be a more clear communication path between people on the eAlert list and U-haul. I had to spend 1.5 hours on the phone on Friday night trying to get cleared from the list, which disrupted my very tight moving window. Had I known I was on the list before then, I would have cleared up the issue previously. U-Haul's creditor called me months ago and I cleared it up with him. He said he was forwardin his report to U-Haul, but apparently nothing happened since then.Stephen R.

The Lady at the service was on a call (on her mobile) the whole time. I told her that I checked in online, thought that would be easier for her. But she told it would be easier if I could answer the questions in a very rude manner. I was upset and asked her to hang the phone and continue the check in, then she told "It does not matter as far as I am being served". Up until my most recent U-Haul rental from this location I have never had any issues. However, this time there was an issue with the return of my deposit and it is still not resolved a week and a half later. The van statement said it was full and it was not. I filled up a tank that for 3 gallons that I did not use. Also my storage unit had mouse feces in it and on my things.CRYSTAL J.
Please have a better way to reach the actual location by phone. While using the vehicle, I misplaced my cellphone. I called the number for the store in Chicago where I rented (using a different phone of course) to ask if I had left my phone there, but the number I dialed reached a corporate office in Utah. I spoke with Charles who was super helpful but unfortunately there was no way for him to contact the rental location in Chicago to ask if my cellphone was there. In retracing my steps I did find my missing phone, but it would have been helpful to reach someone at the store location, to ask that one quick question, when dialing the number listed as the store location phone number. I dropped off the auto transport earlier in the day and Andrew was unfriendly and seemed annoyed to assist us. He said he would send a receipt to my email which I never received. I return at 4:45pm same day to drop off the truck and the door is locked. The store closes at 5pm. Myself and another customer knocked on the door until Andrew reluctantly opened the door. He took my key and again said he would send a receipt to my email. I did not receive a checkin email for the truck and auto transport until the next day. Very unprofessional, especially to lock the door well before closing time.Alecia G.

I went to this U-Haul to purchase some addition pads for my move and the machine was down. The employee proceeded to put my credit card info down with her personal phone. When my mother asked what was going on, one of the employee started to yell at her very very aggressively. She told her to shut up and just go to another store!! My mother was so in shock she started to cry!! This employee was very loud and hostile to us both. We just didn't not understand why she would be putting my credit info in her phone; that was the only question we asked. Also we were terrified for our lives because NO ONE at this location wore a mask except for my mom and I during my entire experience!!! So ALARMING!!!!!!! This behavior is very very very unacceptable due COVID-19 killing people and my mom having underling health issues!!!!!!!!. You're staff put my mom and I at risk in addition to the belligerent behavior of your employee ( I think she was a manager). Lastly, I spoke to someone at this location two days prior to my move-in a safe said that my unit was available on the first floor which was imperative, I even told her that I could pay ahead of time, but she said pay on Saturday when I arrive. When I arrived my u it had been moved to the 3rd floor which caused me to spend more money with the movers . She said that she thought that I would not mind because the 3rd floor had air conditioning, but actually I did mind; the decision caused me to spend more money considering I was moved to the 3rd floor and across the building!!!!! I would have went to another U-Haul if I knew this was a possibility!!! Nevertheless, please contact me with a follow up call. His name is Anthony and he works at the 2600 S. LaSalle St. in Chicago. He made what could have been very difficult and frustrating a carefree experience for a single, senior female. I appreciated his "No problem' attitude in assisting me with the purchasing of my storage unit and by walking me through the large facility to ensure I could find it when I got turned around with its location.
