Unit was in really bad shape. The door was loose on its hinges and the floorboards were wobbly. We had several rude interactions with the employees, and only one of them was helpful (tall man with short blonde hair, didn't catch his name but he helped us with the door). One employee (Damien) was very dismissive of us and ignored our request for a lower unit. Another was a short white lady who was just immediately aggressive and impolite. She made me wait 5 minutes just to see her and then proceded to tell me that the door was entirely broken and that we would have to take all of our furniture through a tiny black door. While the big door being broken wasn't her fault at all, she was immediately aggressive and I felt defensive. There was also no alternate good routes outside the Uhaul storage area which made this a NIGHTMARE. Never coming back, thanks.Bethany H. | Overall Experience

Damien was the guy helping us out. Never met someone so apathetic at this place. We were trying to deal with a very harrowing situation and he interrupted us constantly, ignored me when I said I didn't want a unit up stairs because we were doing all the labor by ourselves and generally didn't care about us. Very annoyed with the service, and the storage unit area was very run down and not very stable floorboards. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I attempted to use the 24/7 service. When I arrived to pick up my reserved truck, no equipment had been assigned so I had to go inside to complete my paperwork and obtain a key for the truck. Perhaps just a hiccup in a newer process??Philip P.

I have rented from this location numerous times. My experience has been excellent in the past. This time however the equipment was not up to the standard that I have received from U-Haul in the past. The driver door would not securely close easily and I would have to try to her three times to get it to close properly. The battery needed to be jumpstarted and perhaps that was our error however I have rented before and I am very careful not to turn on any lights. In fact we never drove the vehicle other than daytime and I don't believe the lights ever were even turned on. The largest problem with it was the air conditioning only blew out of the defroster vents which is a known problem with Ford vehicles. When I return the vehicle a young lady at the counter was helping me and I explain to her the issues. All she told me was did you leave the lights on and I'm sorry and have a nice day. And then just looked at me and said you can go now. I believe that at least a small refund should've been given because the vehicle when it's 100Â° outside is not very comfortable to drive when the air-conditioning blows out of the defroster it's hardly even worth having on. I have never considered looking at another option and even though there is only one or two others out there I will definitely consider those next time around.SEAN M.

I waited for 45 minutes to return the trailer. There was only one employee at the facility. He spent the entire time going through the fine print of the contract with the customer. I began to believe that I have moved to another universe! Unbelievable.Michael S.
The nice gentleman who helped us get the truck was delightful! We rented a truck for 2 days. He told us we could return the truck on Sunday July 10, before 5, which was closing time. On Sunday we went to return the truck and there was only 1 employee working. This was fine because there were no other customers but me. It was 4.35 pm. The man had ear buds in listening to something and he totally ignored us. For 10 minutes we tried to get his attention thinking he just didn't realize we were standing there. He then looked directly at me and turned and walked away. We chased him down to the back of the warehouse. He finally took out the earbuds and rudely told us he couldn't help us because he closed shop at 4:30. We told him the sign says they close at 5 and that we were told we could return the truck anytime before 5. He said â€œwell, it's too late. Use the self checkout â€œ. He then put the earbuds back in his ears and continued to ignore us. I have never been talked to like that in my life. I work in customer service and I would never treat a customer in that manner. I had no idea what self check in was. I had to call UHaul to see how to do self check in. I finally figured it out and got it done but it took forever. If the man would have just helped me or explained to me how to do self check in, a lot of time could have been saved. The online site wouldn't work when I arrived, I went inside and out of three employees only one was helping customers while the others yelled about how they're calling the police on someone. Completely unprofessional in my opinion. The employee that I waited ten minutes for was wonderful. However, the truck itself had a faulty passenger door. I was charged a cleaning fee when the equipment was returned clean. When I attempted to call I was routed to a call center with more than a 1 hour wait. I decided to return to the store to ask why I was charged a cleaning fee. The manager looked at pictures and determined a cleaning fee charge was NOT justified. However, their computer system would not refund my cleaning fee. They said they would contact their IT department and follow up with me. They never called so I went back to the store. Rented online but difficulties connecting with site when at the location caused me to spend over 30 minutes just to find the truck and complete the sign in. When returning it took even longer. The truck was probably the worst I've ever had. It sounded like the door or window weren't shut but I tried several times and could get it to be less noisy. Also the A/C barely worked which was frustrating on a hot day. I tried to call saying I would be about 5 hours instead of 4 and the person hung up on me. I was then charged for a second day. I scheduled to rent a truck online.. at 8:30 am on a Sunday.. but when I arrived at the location I found out that they didn't actually open until 9:00 am which I was surprised I was able to reserve a truck at a time that they were not open.. then when the workers finally showed up about 5 mins after 9 it took time for them to open up .. get the computers up and running etc. so I waited even longer .. when I got the paper work it read that I had a 1/4 tank of gas.. when I got into the truck there was less than 1/4 tank of gas.. but as I was already late getting the truck because of the later open time so I just left.. I drove 7 miles total.. then I stopped by the gas station kiddie corner from the uhaul place and put 2 gallons of gas into the truck.. it filled it to just barely under 1/4 tank but more than I had when I took the truck.. a hour or so after I dropped it off Igot a receipt of what was actually charged and I was charged an additional 2 gallons of gas.. at the price of $16.20 .. It stated that I returned the truck with 1/8 tank of gas.. When it actually read just barely under 1/4..I guess the girl needs to learn how to read a gas gauge.. so that truck got 4 gallons of gas to travel 7 miles.. .. also 2 weeks before that I ordered boxes and tape online.. I had my son pick up the order.. I ordered 2 things of tape and only received one.. which cost me just over $7.00.. so uhaul has ripped me off about $23.20 dollars at this point.. unfortunately there is no other moving truck rental place near me so I guess uhaul feels like they can just keep ripping people off because there is no other option for people to use.. super disappointing..Matthew C.

You have a service nobody else has, so yeah I guess I recommend you for literally only that reason. The people working here (especially the â€œgeneral managerâ€) are SO damn rude every time I interact with them or simply overhear a client interaction, and that has been the case well before Covid, so you can't claim it's related... I even had to go to the Clearfield branch, and sure enough the GM was just as rude there too. Tried to say my brand new car was broken, when it was clearly your busted old trailer and the fact you guys broke the adapater you forced me to buy, which I actually didn't need as it turned out, you just didn't pay any attention to my car when hooking it up. Tried to turn a mechanic lose on my brand new SUV's fuse box, which I respectfully told him to back off and not touch it. I hope someone comes to compete with you.Brent B.

I first arrived at this location in Nov. 2020, with a U-Haul truck for of possessions which couldn't be unloaded as our apartment wasn't ready yet. The young lady who assisted me, gave me not 1, not 2, but 3 units, free for the first month! Prior to the first month ending, we vacated 2 of the units and kept one for seasonal items. We vacated this final unit at the beginning of June 2022, not because of being dissatisfied, but because with the rising cost of gas, I needed to make budget cuts wherever I could. The truck was at empty when I picked it up. The sale agent explained that the previous renter did not take care of it and would not return the truck. The previous renter ran the truck completely to empty. This location was about to call the local police on the previous renter because he wouldn't rerun the truck back. So I was stuck with a truck that wasn't taken care of properly. I asked for a different truck and they didn't have any available, so I had to take the poorly ran one to move apartments. The next thing the sales agent said that I would need to return it with 1/4 of a tank and that they gave me a gas credit to put gas in it. With how much the gas prices are right now, I spent my money (more the gas credit) to just to get to 1/4 of a tank. I'm already upset at the whole situation. Next thing I go to the gas station to put gas in it and the gas cap is broken. So I had to return back to the store so they could fix it. They zip tie a gas cap on for me to â€œquicklyâ€ fix the issue. The issue is that they gave me a poorly taken care of truck and that's not fair for me! Then when everything was â€œfixedâ€ and head out on the highway where the speed limit is 70 MPH, I accelerate to 50 MPH and the whole steering wheel shakes uncontrollably. So now I'm stuck in a very loud, shaky and pretty horrible smelling truck. It reeked of cigar smoke and I knew it's a cigar because the sales agent apologized for cigar smoke smell. Apparently the previous renter smoked in the truck. All in all this was a very bad experience and I don't feel like it was worth the money I spent on renting the truck.Vishanthram S.

Front desk people were extremely stressed out and did nothing to hide it. Coming from someone who works in high demand busy customer serviceâ€¦ it was extremely unprofessional. The front desk people during my pickup time were swearing, talking badly about customers as soon as they hung up the phone or the person walked out, were very short when speaking with me and the other customers and were complaining to us. The people during my drop off at the end were wonderful and very pleasant. But in the industry, you should never be badmouthing customers in front of other customers, complaining to the customers, or taking your frustration out on customers. Everything else was wonderful but when hiring employees the ability to handle stress and contain emotion while maintaining the ability to provide good and friendly customer service espcially during high-demand and busy shifts should be taken into consideration. After making a reservation for a storage unit approximately 2 weeks ago to move in on the 30th of November I hadn't received an email or any sort of confirmation. So I called the uhaul number for this location and it ended going into a national que where they had no sort of reservation set up for me to move in yesterday. So we drove down to the location where I placed the reservation and there was none. A few weeks ago, had an experience when I rented a truck. I was disappointed that I had used the app to check in to save tons of time, yet ended up being shuffled from truck to truck for almost an hour while I had friends waiting. But it was business as usual, with no offer for free use of a hand truck or furniture dolley. Some kind of consolation would have been appreciated. I really like our storage unit and the ability to pay by automatic payment. But when you changed your policy to only accept a credit card and not debt I left because I do not want charges made on a credit card. All payments previously came out of bank account. I move out from their a week later. You list my business. Plus you didn't even notify me of your change and charged my account a $15.00 late fee. Way to go. So I thought my unit was paid. I was about to move my belongings elsewhere pror of Jen becoming manager due to lack of communication with the previous manager he was horrible. I have been at ease knowing that the security is highly watched and I have my units inside. It's pleasant to be able to pull your vehicle in the bay to load unload or go through your units A/C in summer & HEAT in the winter and all indoors. Moving can be a stressful time in anyone's life. I have moved dozens of times and used U-haul for all of my moving needs. This past Saturday, 5/1/2021, I was scheduled to meet the guys from Moving Help at 9:30 to unload the U-haul into a storage unit. Because the paperwork wasn't completed, I arrived at 9:00am at which time Jen Barker informed me that the system went down. There were people lined up in the store and U-haul trucks lined up in the yard for check-in...not surprising as this was the 1st of the month on a weekend. Jen and Brandon helped customers as fast as fast as they could using "old school" paper and pen methods. Jen couldn't use the computer to locate the unit I reserved, so we went looking for an available unit by foot. The process was time consuming, but not the fault of the U-haul team. We located the vacant unit and proceeded with paperwork, so the movers could unload the U-haul truck. Because the computer was down, every transaction took longer than expected, but Jen and Brandon were dedicated to helping everyone who walked in as best they could like pros, never rude and always polite and professional. We started using the storage unit in May 2020. We put this unit on autopay from my credit card. In August, I received an email stating that my payment was late. I called facility and asked about it. I was told to ignore it. I went to access my storage unit on Friday, October 9, 2020. I found a non-payment lock on it. I was told that a janitor had change the ownership to "John Doe". It was explained that he was older, new and not very good with computers. I am still considering moving my belongings to another facility. I think it is extremely poor policy to allow a janitor to change a storage unit status and not to keep a historic record of storage unit ownership. The that helped me reestablish my storage unit were very apologetic, helpful and informative. I appreciate the staff being able to tell us what really happened rather than giving an excuse or tell me a lie.Gary S. | First Impressions

I had a unit for one year. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ONLY recommendation I might have is to give a way to create lighting within the unit. Like perhaps electrical outlets in the hallways or something. In a large unit, even bright flashlights aren't enough.
