I had made a reservation to pick up a 15' truck and a tow dolly from the Bountiful Location. The truck was there but the tow dolly was at another location and nobody told me. When I came to pick it up it wasn't there and I had to drive to south salt lake to get it. The move we did was close to the maximum miles allotted with our rental and driving the 28 miles round trip would put us very close. Not only that but when I picked the truck up the check engine light came on shortly after leaving. I drove the truck back to Uhaul in Bountiful and told them about it, hoping to get a different truck (we were driving over 600 miles and we needed a reliable truck). The staff at Uhaul said, "We don't have another one way truck, you'll need to call roadside assistance." We JUST picked up the truck and the best they could do for us is to call roadside assistance. So we did, and and hour and a half later they came and said there was nothing they could do. What kind of customer service is this? Find another truck! Why should it be my problem that they truck isn't ready to drive? Why was I charged full price for a rental that may or may not have made the trip? It was terrible, thankfully the truck did make the trip, but Uhaul did very little to assure us that that would be the case. I am not recommending Uhaul to friends and family unless these kinds of issues change in the future.

This location has been a saving grace for me in a clutch. Only complaint is the system that is used apparently has bad glitches. I had to wait almost 20 minutes to get a trailer yesterday due to the system being down. Staff is extremely helpful and professional.

Processed the return in person fine, but we were charged extra for the extra miles we had to drive to pick up the truck in a different location than what we booked.

It was extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone on the phone. We called the day our rental was due, in order to extend the return date, as well as to confirm that the truck had been checked-in once it was returned. On both occasions we had to make numerous calls before we could reach anyone that could effectively take care of our questions and spent up to 45 minutes on the phone on each occasion. It was very frustrating. We normally rent from Penseke and this experience made us reconsider our chose to use UHaul this time.

They told me that the truck had a half tank of gas. I took their word for it so I didn't check it. I drove 30-35 miles. I went to put gas in it before returning it and had to put 9 gallons in it to get it back to half. I don't believe that a 2019 Dodge truck with 268 miles on it only gets 5 miles per gallon. I told them that and the reply was "sometimes it happens". I feel that's dishonest and unprofessional. I feel like I got screwed. It cost me $20-25 more than it should.

I was struggling to make the app and the website work to check in my truck. Brandon (the employee) noticed I was struggling and stayed late to check my truck in on time despite having already closed the store. He went above and beyond to make sure the truck was checked in properly and on time and made the process easy. his associate stayed late as well, I don’t remember her name, maybe Jen. Great customer service, I would be happy to use this U-Haul location again.

On more than one occasion we have gone to pick up our truck from a uhaul store and they weren’t available. This has happened 2 times after a reservation was made well in advance. We had no problems here! This place was well run, VERY helpful, and polite. They were great!

I had a reservation for Saturday and switched it to Friday and was told it would only charge me $26 to do that and you guys ended up charging me $126 to do that. I also asked if I could return the vehicle on Monday and instead of Tuesday the lady informed me from bountiful Utah u haul that she could not change that for me so I assumed that I had to drop it off on Tuesday. I would have gave you guys a better rating if I would have known I was getting charge that much. And corrected that it was supposed to be Monday.

The truck I was given was very loose in the steering. Also, I received a call the next day saying I had not returned the truck. It was in fact turned in the same day before the location had closed. Normally a good location and I will continue to use them, but this experience was not good.

I returned the vehicle early because the "check engine" light came on. I still needed to make another trip with it, but I was reluctant to keep driving it after the light came on. When I returned it and told them what happened they just said that I could take it back out if I wanted to. Not the best customer service answer in the situation.

Great experience with the personnel at the Bountiful Utah U-Haul location. They were all very professional and made the rental experience a breeze. I would definitely recommend the Bountiful facility to anyone wanting to rent a moving vehicle.

When I received the truck I was told it had a half a tank of gas. Which it didn't. I only drove it 22 miles and I got charged $19 for gas which I don't agree with but I paid it because I didn't want the drama but I would suggest making sure the truck has the right amount to avoid issues in the future.

The straps, one in particular, had quite a bit of wear but were fully functional. But the check in and check out were very quick and smooth, particularly when I turned in the trailer.

I think that the braking devices on your trailer ‘s don’t work! Just for looks! Employees don’t understand how to check and how they really are to work. The weight capacity for trailer requires assistance for braking. I believe you caused extra abnormal wear and tear on my truck brakes.

Tried to pick up the U-Haul after hours. Someone mixed up the numbers/U-Haul truck, the key was placed in the container but not locked up. I attempted to call a "Jeff" who was listed as 24-hour help, on the fourth attempt he picked up and coldly told me to just take the truck. They forgot the dolly that I had paid for, so I tried calling "Jeff" again and it went straight to voice mail. I tried 13 total times to contact "Jeff" and ended up having to bring the Uhaul back early to talk to someone. Andrew was the only good thing about this experience as he was understanding of our situation and helped figure out the costs for everything and the entire situation was a mess. I should have listened to the other bad reviews about "Jeff" not being helpful or kind to other customers. I was sorely disappointed.

I had to wait to get my furniture dollies while the tech helped another customer who was behind me in line. Once I was helped, they could only find 1 of the 2 dollies I had reserved and had to make due with one dolly. Finish helping your current customer before helping the next one. Don't allow customers to reserve and pay for equipment you don't actually have on hand.

The cab console, cupholders were not clean or disinfected. I took wipes from the office to clean it myself. The driver's side was missing the rubber guard around the door so you could feel and hear air coming inside the cab.

The customer service was awful. I visited the location two weeks before we needed a trailer. My first visit Jen, your representative, completed my reservation. Which was your largest trailer. I asked her to show me the trailer and make sure my car would be compatible. She went through all my information and said everything looked good. I returned to get the trailer. Jen, the same rep, told me my my car wasn't capable to tow the large trailer. So I asked for the 5'8, and she set that up This upset me because myself, my daughter, her 3 children ages 3 and 4 are moving to South Carolina. I depended on uhaul to help me make the move as safe and secure as possible. What I got was the run around, had to buy a hitch, which I could have done prior to my pick up. I asked them to help get me a hitch. The guy who was "helping me" told me he didn't have time; there were other customers waiting and left me sitting in my car crying. It was an awful experience. There incapability to help me...set my trip back, I had to leave several things behind, and other things we had to throw away which cost me time and money that I didn't have. I'm am sad that I can't give this store a good rating. Unreal customer service! ??

The customer service rep (Brandon) was super helpful and took care of the lock-box combination being wrong, which didn't allow me to pick up the van at the time of my appointment.

The van was not in very good repair; fortunately I was not going far. There were to marginal/bald tires, the 'low tire' warning was on, the switch for the mirror adjustment was broken, making it very hard to adjust the mirrors (a BIG deal)... I think that's it.

Brandon at the Bountiful location was extremely helpful, nice, and fast. He came out front and greeted me asking what he can help me with. Once he knew what I needed he took me back and checked me out quickly. On pick up and return he greeted me with a smile and asked me how my day was going. He had a sense of urgency that I really appreciated. Thanks Brandon!

My only issue is the access hours. 7pm really limits your access when you get home from work after 6pm on weekdays. And paying extra for longer access to your own property seems like gouging.

The issue that would make me consider a different storage facility is longer access hours. I get home from work around 7pm so I can’t access my storage units until the weekend usually. Kinda dumb.
