When arrived. There was 3 associates at the desk. None asked to assist me or more importantly to acknowledge that I was there. I eventually asked are you all busy as I was just standing there waiting. Although I'm clear I was heard none of the 3 responded whatsoever. Very poor customer service. So I attempted to do online check in myself. Eventually a younger gentleman assisted me. When He finally acknowledge me and said he would assist me at the counter, I was already to the part online where I submit my DL. I asked him if I should just finish signing up on line he's like, I don't know what your talkin about can I get your name. I give him my name & go from there. It's the lack of customer service and. Even though I had to clean and sweep out the trailer, when I picked it up there was candy, coins, small pieces of metal and dirt in the trailer, especially at the nose of the trailer. Not a big issue, but if I had to make sure it was clean, it should have been cleaned (if not at least swept out) before I rented it. None of the garbage that was in the trailer when I rented was left after I used it. Other than that, the trailer itself was maintained.PHILLIP P.

Within 1 mile of getting the first truck we had to return it because of how terrible it sounded and there was definitely something wrong with that. The second truck add a service light on for the airbag. When I walked in to get the truck there were four people helping one person and I waited much longer than I should had with all of the employees working. Gave me a bad truck with 157,000 miles on it for a 1300 mile one way. I eventually got it sorted out through Roadside Service but I spent at least 3 hours waiting for a solution. I had to take the truck to another location and swap it out for a replacement. The second truck was MUCH better and appropriate for my move.Randall Y.

The in person experience was absolutely perfect. However, the online experience was terrible! At the last minute I was informed that there were no available trucks at my chosen location, and that someone would contact me. They didn't. I called and was on hold for nearly 90 minutes. I tried at least a half dozen times to start a chat, and when I finally got someone to respond, she was totally unhelpful and couldn't answer my questions sufficiently. I ended up changing my location ON MY OWN, at 6:30 am on the morning of my pickup. This was really inconveniencing for me, and I wasn't offered any compensation for my trouble, or even an apology. I will likely do business again at the location that I chose MYSELF, and the online reservation went smoothly, but I will not depend on your customer service by phone or chat. I booked a U-Haul storage unit combined with renting a moving truck and trailer. However, when it came time to pay for the storage unit, the location changed to the wrong city. The first representative I spoke to said that I would have to drive to the other city to cancel the unit. The second representative I spoke to canceled the wrong location and left the contract open for the unit that I did not want. 1. I believe the cost was too high 2. I didn't like the reduced hours once I made an arrangement to settle and move out by a certain date. As a regular renter the access hours were fine, it was only after I made arrangements to move out that it appeared things were being made harder for me. I also didn't like that my daughters name was removed from the lease and she had to get a signature from me to move her things out of the storage unit. Some how I went from being a co-signer to being the only one on the lease and that should have never happened. I never received a call or notification of that and neither did my daughter. 3. I didn't like how the alarm went off each time when I opened my unit. This was even after I paid the settlement amount. 4. I didn't like the beat up latch on the unit that was like that when I moved in, it was always a struggle to unlatch the door to open the unit. I assumed that during my time renting, it would be switched out or repaired but it never was. They maintained the grounds but left broken latches in place. I noticed many other units with what appeared to be bent or beat up latches as well. This should be resolved. 5. I didn't like the LACK of DIVERSITY at this location. There are all types of people that live in Bolingbrook a suburb of Chicago one of the most diverse cities in this country but I saw SO diversity at this location (for 2 years) and I think it would have made a difference and would have been friendlier. In general I would look elsewhere before I rented from UHaul storage facility the next time.Helen J. | Overall Experience

Figured out side door access on our own including fact you have a to swipe first main door then go to side door to swipe again. Also 24hr access door needs to be fixed, can't open door easily (panic door hw constantly stuck).
